Got the chance to spend a week in a 24 Tacoma TRD Off Road, and all I can say is I'm glad that I had a 21 Ranger Tremor back at home. May trade that in one day for one of these new model Ranger Raptors, but loving my Tremor too much right now.
Have had mine for a couple days now. Had a stubby antenna installed within 30 seconds of it leaving the lot lol best $20 visual mod ever and was as simple as grabbing and rotating counterclockwise to remove and screwing in the new one. Takes all of 10 seconds
Really nice truck … nothing is really close when factoring power delivery. My Chevy ZR2 (GMC AT4X) is 2nd … Toyota distant 3rd made in Mexico crap IMO. Enjoy that machine! 👍🏻🇺🇸
Congrats on the truck! May I ask when you put your order in and how long did the dealership take to get you your VIN? As well as how long the overall wait was to get your truck? I’ve ordered mine 2 weeks ago and trying to get an estimate of how long my wait will be. Thanks.
It varies drastically and, as far as I can tell, nobody knows the cause of the variation. I thought it had to do with the spray-in bedliner but this one obviously had it optioned and was delivered so idk. I ordered this exact same spec day 1 (5/26/2023) and received an update 3 days ago (4/2/2024) that it still hasn't been scheduled (no vin). Hopefully you'll have better luck than me!

I order mine October 17, 2023. They finish the build on 3/19/2024. They shipped to me in Long Beach CA and it should arrive no later than the 15th of this month
Ordered July 5, 2023 got VIN direct from Ford in late January 2024. Most important detail is that I watched the sales guy put it into the Ford order system while in the office. I went through a high volume Ford truck dealer. No deposit ,the only question salesman had was how many. it took less than 30 minutes to place the order. The biggest issue I had was during PDI they added a pulsing action to third brake light, but got that price taken off at signing.
@@OnTheWorkbenchnice! I got lucky at a smaller populated city than the bigger ones, sold at MSRP and no other fees, also had them write on the buyers order “no extra add-ons” on the PDI. I did have to put down a $1k deposit. Called a week after the order and the sales guy said that Ford took the order just didn’t have a scheduled build date yet. Hopefully I will hear something soon and not months from now lol.
Dampeners on the tailgate, but prop the hood open with a hockey stick😮 it appears the lower rear shock mounts are really low and close to the tires. Low off road clearance at the mount. I haven’t seen a review yet where the hood didn’t have to be slammed shut. The cab and driver amenities seem nice. 😊
You have to have a special funnel to get gas in or out without a pump so that's why they don't lock the gas tank door. All Ford are like that even my Bronco

TY. Reviewers never fold down the visor. I suspect there is no vanity light. 2024 U.S. Ranger Raptor is a legitimate 6th Gen Ranger. The less expensive trim levels are modified 5th Gen Rangers, despite Ford calling them 6th Gen.
Ive heard a lot of bad things about the build quality of the RR. Panel gaps to the point you have to slam the doors to close them, lots of interior rattles, seat leather stretching and becoming loose almost immediately. I'm a Ford guy but a 60k truck should be near perfect.

While not a mini Landcruiser, I’m in love with Shelter Green, the size and generally the price. Ford please have an upgraded model of the Ranger Raptor and fix all the rusting metal underneath, the exposed wiring and get rid of the plastic oil bolt. Increase size of seat as the outside has a couple of inches and put hvac in back.
I agree the red surrounding the vents is just too much for me. I can’t do it. I’ll go Lariat or just change out the vent surrounds on the Raptor. Didn’t they do any customer preference survey in advance? Sometimes I wonder. The Raptor should have a bash plate delete option and a highway tire and wheel option, and a better mileage option , need at least 22 Hwy 18 City. I just don’t want to burn less than 20mpg on any vehicles that I pay for.

its an australian designed Ute, it's designed for that market, not the american.

If you don't want bash plates or off-road wheels and tires then don't buy the raptor. That's what the regular rangers are for
