Hey man great stuff. I recently bought a black raptor 24.5 like yours. After watching your videos I love my Raptor even more. I know a lot work goes into what u do. Much appreciated.
I have roughly same set up in Gen 1 Raptor (plan upgrade early 2025). for camping it's a bit annoying having to basically pack up every day to go driving. my 5 cents worth from my journeys. its not a huge job but still slightly annoying but then again its so good to park and be set up in small space.
What octane are you running the Raptor Ranger in likes the highest octane you can get. Is it tuned ? stock tune would be more consistent and not have as much heat soak because of lower turbo boost. Tuned cars give you that one good run, then makes allot of heat soak which slows you down, to a point were your slower than a stock tune truck. If your tuned you need to upgrade the cooling system and get a bigger intercooler is a must. I would never do a tune without upgrading the supporting systems like cooling.
hey man, wondering how are the caloffroad springs? I got a heavy load setup at the rear with canopy therefore i'm also looking into heavy duty rear springs. King springs only makes no-load ones. only brand i can find with load is caloffroad. I'm concerned king spring is gonna sag. But I don't want the ride quality to go way bad with these new springs either. Just want to make sure caloffroad springs does live up to the expectation. Alternatively is king springs with spacers.
Sorry for the late reply mate! It is a lot stiffer then standard with the CalOffroad but I wouldn’t say it’s ruined the ride but it’s no as plush when it is empty, it’s great once it’s loaded up though, feels like standard again.
Any performance loss in suspension with 35’s? I’m concerned about losing or feeling the raptor not like it is from factory, I already have eibach shocks and feels amazing, but definitely needs 35s for the looks. Any answer please
Really, you doing 35's just for looks? What about extra weight, scrubbing guards, higher gearing, expensive tyres that are not replaceable in remote area's and increased fuel use!!!!
No performance loss, even with the lift and I’ve done some pretty wild stuff in this car now.. since putting heavy duty springs in the rear it is definitely stiffer though.
badass... i'm over in the US and i'm digging your build. i'm subscribed to see what's next! Cheers... also, did you put the j braces on the tub with all that weight on the rack over the back? that three wheeling at the end was epic!
Cheers brother ! I didn’t have a J brace in, no! Probably should have but I haven’t got any signs of cracking anywhere along the front do the tub.. I’ve since changed setups now ! It’s good fun in the slow stuff !
I’m looking for more power than what they offer ! Wanting to go much bigger. This is custom made mid section from reaper performance and fabrication & no rear resonators.
@@Amarilloslim- these engines have been in the states for a few years now and have been reliably running 600hp man, there’s a few in aus now making over 500hp with no problems, but that’s just modifying cars you gotta pay to play unfortunately 😂 Herrod is awesome for the majority of raptor owners, I just want more haha. Thanks man ! Came out good, did dump pipes and ruined it haha.
@@Wintersgarage_ the 3.5L’s have been out for sometime, these a lil smaller haha. I’ve got process west intake, tickford turbo back exhaust and stuff from herrod and I’m making 440whp and it ran a 12.4 1/4 last Friday night which I’m happy with…. For now…. Good luck on your build mate!
@@Amarilloslim- yeah man so have the 3.0 ! They have been in the ford explorer since 2020 or so and before that the Lincoln navigator like 2017ish, same engine. Looking to ditch the KO's and looking at Maxxis, Nitto or the Wildpeaks. How are you like them? I know they have pretty good road manners on wet and dry but do they do well of road?
I’ve had the Maxxis MT and AT, have noticed they do wear quicker but seem to be a softer compound so do pretty well everywhere … the wildpeak’s have been really good wearing tyres and haven’t done me wrong anywhere yet ! Been great in the rain, mud etc
Essentially a 17 x 9 will make it look like the tire has less of a bag where the tyres squeeze a little tighter together with 8.5” No problems with rubbing on this set up but have had castor moved forward and other things with the alignment, even with the 37 zone it only rubbed on big angles or full lock with angles.
Hey man, So the rear springs are now from Cal Offroad in NSW Australia and they are a heavy duty model and exactly right, it sagged a fair bit with all of the stuff in it. Front setup is a 25mm spacer kings 40-50mm lift spring Rear cal off-road 25mm heavy duty
@@91_riothey man I did have the forescan ride height sensor reset, how much of a difference it made in terms of ride comfort, don’t think it really did .. maybe placebo ? It does change your headlight height so be prepared to be blinding everyone at night 😂
Hey bro, I notice mine in low range going downhill especially has a whining sound, doesn't sound like anything is broken but only in low range, don't know if you have experienced the same thing? Chain drive transfer case? ;)
Mine does it too as every other car... Is the extra gear spinning into the transfer case that make that sound... 😂😂 Keep ripping it has 5 years warranty when broken get them to fix it 😂😂 it supposed to be tough and performance so...give itt all you got 😂😂

Thanks brother ! You are going to love it 💪🏼
I really love slow hill climbs.
you need either softer front springs or stiffer rear springs mate
Springs in the rear are heavy duty, so super stiff. Fronts wouldn’t be much softer over standard.
Sick video ! Just got my raptor in the US! Needs a set up like yours
Thanks man ! Can’t wait to see the crazy mods you all come up with over there ! Going to be epic.

You need to go with the herrod tune w/ intercooler and transcooler! Best 6k I’ve ever spent. What exhaust do you have on this?

Unfortunately not mate, I haven’t seen any gvm upgrades as of yet either !
