You'll be back. 😂 I started with the Z Fold 5 and used it for several months. Then I got a Pixel 8 which I have used for a few months. Now I think I'm going back to the Fold. Yes, I was allured by the Pixel's clean stock Android OS without all the Samsung bloat and useless apps. And the Pixel does have a few cool exclusive features like the magic photo editor, etc. But after awhile I've found that I am growing very bored with the Pixel. It's almost too plain and I find that I don't really use those exclusive features as much as I thought I would. When you reopen that bigger Fold screen after not using it for awhile, HOLY COW! You realize what you've been missing by using a traditional candy bar phone! So, what I'm doing is switching my main SIM back into the Fold and then still keep the Pixel around for the few times I need the camera or the photo editing tools. I think the Pixel is a great secondary or backup phone, but for my main phone you can't beat the versatility of the Fold. It can literally replace your tablet and even your laptop when you're in a pinch. Plus, Samsung has come a looong way to integrating stock Google apps into their phone. Nowdays you can disable or delete all of the useless Samsung apps and use stock Google apps on the Fold. That wasn't the case a few years ago.

There's an app called winulator that allows you to run windows applications on the android phone. it's literally like a mini computer. sadly you can't really use it while in dex mode without some weird snafus.
That's the worst part about using a foldable, once you're intoxicated by it's usefulness and it's cool factor, you may even switch to normal phone again once the honeymoon period ends, but every time you've run into an app that feels too small or want to spread out with a bigger screen, you'll miss having that 7.4" slab in your pocket. I had the thought "maybe next time I'll just get a small phone" but after a while I realize, I have a small phone, I have a big phone/small tablet, all in my pocket.
I absolutely loved my fold 5. Fave phone by far. Came from 6 years of using iphones to the fold 5 and it's my absolute fave phone. Best phone I've ever had for sure. Traded it in for the S24 Ultra and I regret to the point where I've actually traded the S24 U in for the flip 5 just because it intrigued me and il be trading that in for the Fold 6 as soon as its pre orders go live 💀💀💀

I have the z fold 5 and I'm thinking to switch back to a regular phone, what is actually bothering me is the cameras, they are pretty average to me coming from the S22 Ultra, which the cameras were amazing and the 10x zoom was great. I'm here because I went from the s22 ultra to the fold 5 lol. camera doesn't bother me, battery does. although I must say, for a phone pushing $3000AUD, the fact that it doesn't come with an S pen, a case or headphones in the box or ULTRA level cameras is ridiculous. also, the build on the s22 ultra was far superior. that being said, I'm not sure I could go back to a normal phone ever again, I really do love the fold as annoying as it can be sometimes.
Samsung smartphones is my fav, so that's why i saw this channel. Is great, and wanna tell you to never buy z folds, their life is more limited, than other smartphones. I recommend you to buy Google, IPhone, and normal Samsungs.

Did your inner screen start peeling after 6 months because I was about to get the z fold 6 and the worker told me that it was going to peel after 6 months of folding usage
Very well said. I use an iPhone 12 Pro for family and friends, and use my Z Fold 5 for Shows, Music and Games. Been thinking of trading for a non fold. Now I appreciate the comfort of having a mini tablet on the go. Like your input. Really nice.
The new Pixel 9 pro fold has a larger front screen the same size as their standard model phone I was really wanting to get into foldable phones this year but the front screen on the Fold 6 is what makes me hesitant. Now that we are so close to the pixel fold 2 releasing I will wait for reviews of it. I like the larger front screen for when I’m working, hiking, ect.. the front screen is big enough to comfortably get everything done. And when I’m at home relaxing or on lunch break at work opening the phone for social media, movies, UA-cam, or games would be how I use it.
Also, what controller was that you used with the Fold? I haven't found a controller that works where the Fold is actually turned the correct way (i.e. not sticking out the bottom).
My biggest gripe, is that some apps on the outside screen will load in a bigger aspect ratio so some of the content is cut off. They neeeeeeeed to give up an updated larger main display.
Samsung actually gives more for an older iPhone than they give for the galaxy 4 or 5 fold. I want the z fold for the larger screen but after watching your video I’m changing my mind. Apple seems like the better value

Ive watched a lot of tech guys and gals on youtube wuth their foldables breaking. I know lots of people dont have a hitch but i think more people do. Trying to decide should i put the phone away until the new fold cones out and buy extended warranty and just use my pixel
Thanks for saving me from potentially a mistake. I have the Flip 5 and find the front screen too small to view anything on for my aging man eyes. I thought the Fold 5 may help to view content, read emails, open Apps etc a better experience for my eyes. Think I'll wait to see if Australia get the Pixel Fold 2 in a world wide release. Tiring of Samsung and their mediocre Folds of the past 3 models. Think I'll wait to see what the Pixel 9 Pro is like as well before jumping ship. Maybe I'll pick up a Goovis g3Max or g3x for veiwing larger content off my phone as an alternative.
I wondered if the flip was the way to go too, but I thought the small screen would be annoying. I guess I had the right idea. Hopefully you find the phone that's right for you soon!

It would be cool to have you make some videos of your transition to Googles yips and tricks or ecosystem videos of how it connects to your other devices. . i held the fold 5 in my hands a bit i do infact rly like the feel of it cuz my hands arent massiv so i can reach everything with 1 hand no help though yeah writing things seems rly weard on the thing idk if it was a TINY bit wider the phone would be perfect
Let me get this straight u got the fold 1,200 sold it for 900. Had it for a years and half. Make lots video about it . And u are worried about resales value. U didn't lose on the phone 😂. If u payed full price for it i could understand your worries about resale value. I guess the real reason u got rid of it is your you tube channel didn't grow.
😂 I make UA-cam videos purely for fun. I don’t decide the phone I want based on UA-cam content. I genuinely loved the phone, thinks it’s cool, but the novelty wore off for me
I had love and hate with the z fold 4 but love the z fold 5, when i got rid of the z fold 4 i really miss having 2 in 1 device. Especially when im travelling its so handy! I still have a back up slab phone just incase as we all know whats eventually bound to happen, fingers crossed not g0ing to happen too early for me. I love front screen because i can use it one hand. Typing is a breeze. Also luckily i got my phone from a carrier and they allow you to trade every 90 days. So i can upgrade to basically anything if i want to.

I traded my fold 4 in and now i miss it. I tried the pixel fold and absolutely hated everything apart from the aspect ratio

Telegram has really big problems with the fold. On the inner screen it can switch from phone to tablet mode by tilting the phone while open.

Luckily the fold 6 is going to be a TINY bit wider. 1/10 of an inch when opened. This is unverified though.
