This sig is not only reliable, but deadly accurate as well. I own this and the glock 43x. Two of the best concealed carry firearms out there. No question.
I bought mine back in early March. It is quickly becoming my favorite carry gun. First Sig I have ever owned, super impressed with it. I held the Sig and the Springfield Hellcat in the gun store before getting the Sig. The Sig felt so much better in the hand to me. I see why Hickok45 likes it so much. Love the videos!
Same here. Really wanted to get the hellcat but my finger kept rubbing against the trigger guard and made my grip feel awkward. With the P365 I don’t like the magazine release. I have to completely change my grip just to hit the button.
Great video, as usual. I’m 67 and old school and haven’t owned a 9mm in probably 30 years. But I wanted this SIG. I held off for a year. Finally bought mine last fall and it was made last summer. No issues after 500 rounds with the first 400 on the day I took delivery from my dealer.
I have about 2000 rounds through mine and it has never had a single malfunction of any kind. Great gun! Great videos, too! Thanks! I value your opinion
Just want to share that earlier today, I picked up my new Sig P365 TacPac without a Manual Safety. It came with 3 12 Round Mags + Sig Holster with adaptors for either IWB or OWB carry. As a bonus, I received 1 hour of free indoor range time. All this for $599.99 + tax here in North Carolina. Awesome CCW. Thanks for your Chapter 2 update review. Keep up the good work!

@jmalcolmg123 I didn't know they came with a safety. That is awesome - you can tuck the gun into a sleeve in the car, and then back into the holster when you get out. Many people have had an AD or even shot themselves doing that.
just because you never had problems DOESN'T mean others haven't.........NO gun has 100% perfect production assembly, even Glocks have problems time-to-time.
I have watched you videos for years, you do a great job and this one is no exception. I have a 365, bought it last December. I checked it for primer drag, everything was perfect. I have found EDC carry pistols, the 365 is my favorite. Thank you for your commitment to this great industry. Best wishes..

Yeah a quality piece that STILL has primer drag issues !! I was finally in the position to buy one of these I’ve waited a year for sig to fix this issue !! Now I’m buying the hellcat!!!
I bought a new one when they first came out.. Hundreds of rounds through it with no failures and minimal primer drag. I recently sold it to a female coworker who was wanting a pistol for protection and also a 12 gauge for home.. I helped her out and gave her plenty of ammo to go a long with both. Last weekend I bought my wife a p328 to replace her 357 magnum she was having trouble shooting and carrying and got her a new purse to work with. While there I got another p365, this one was in the Tact pack and came with 3mags and a holster.. Love these pistols.. Accurate, dependable, and not real expensive and now has a bunch of upgrades for it.. Thanks Hickock45 for the part 2 review
I been watching Hickock45 so long he use to wrap his guns up with skate bord tape ..I probably watch every video he made ..Long time ..one of my favorite video he made, was how to clean my Glock...My first gun I ever bought was a Glock 19, I had no idea how to take it apart and clean it...Then I came across his videos and never stop watching him after that ..A very good educational firearm channel. ..
I just bought a Sig Sauer P365 TacPac on my 21st birthday this past Thursday and I will be taking my CCW class this Friday so I can’t wait! Your videos have helped me out a lot!

Then I waited to buy the 15 round magazines until I saw no negative reviews. I can't afford to buy otherwise and I couldn't sell defective guns or mags that might endanger someone. Night sights, 12+1 mag (10 here in MA but still!!), lightweight and comfortable, accurate, barely noticeable in the pocket, and it's a sig. Hard to wag a finger at. Oh yeah and the +p.

I love mine. Got it two weeks ago. Thousand rounds down range with no malfunctions. I purchased the 365 after I watched your first video. No regrets. It's a great gun. I did see some primer drag like on the casings you showed but mine stopped doing it at about 500rnds. My P365 was born October 2019.
Got one recently. Best EDC available on the market today. If you're buying one, try to get one made in February of this year or later as it has Sig's latest striker design that doesn't have primer drag.
@@MichaelMartin1979 You can buy an aftermarket striker or a new striker for under $100 I believe. IDK what Sig would sell their striker for separately. It's an easy thing to change and with this gun having the history it has had, it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to change the Striker if you shoot it up to say 10K rounds (just my wild ass guess).
Only thing I changed on my P365 was rear sights. In dim light I Would NOT pick up the rear sights. For $65 I was able to procure a rear sight with tritium dots a little bigger than the front for. Great improvement!! 😀😆😁😂
I have the 365 XL with the manual safety, and I just love the hell out of it. Amazing weapon, and zero issues whatsoever. So very comfortable, easy to carry in any position (especially with the safety), and very accurate. It's pretty much replaced my 92FS and my P320 as my EDC.
Love my particular example, purchased in December of 18 I believe, I carry it on duty as a backup, and off duty carry in the warmer months. About 1000 rounds through it, not one issue. I have sold many many 365’s for SIG! Have always loved your content, thanks!
Got my second one and promptly ran 300 rounds, it is a remarkable gun. First one had striker issues, didn’t experience other problems. My EDC has been the Glock 27 for years but the P365 is lower profile, arguably as reliable as any gun on the market, and a joy to shoot. My G27 will be hard to leave home, but I think I really think the 365 is the best EDC for everyone, novice to pro.
I am very happy that you and your dad have many things in common. Always be there for each other. Master Gunnery SGT, USMC. For I lost my dad in 2004 and I still think of him today. For he was under Patten 1ST armor division. tank commander in WW2. He did not give up after 3 tanks were shot out from under of him. He said when people would ask him about his service, he said I had horses under his Ass, that kept him a live during those years. I went into the MSMC in 1972 and I did 5 battle tours in my own life for this country as well. I love you both, please keep up the work that you two do together. Master Gunnery SGT, USMC.
The P365 was the first gun I ever bought. In the shop, I held several different guns, but kept going back to the P365. It just felt better in my hand than any other gun I held that day. A while later, I traded it for 2 Kahr pistols. Ended up selling those and got me another P365 and that's been my go to gun since. Never had any issues with it and I use the 10 and 15 round mags. Great gun, very good choice for conceal carry.
Love LOVE love my P365X. Started its life as a 365. I carried with the 12 rounders so long I swapped out the grip assembly for the XL. Creating the P365X. Short slide, long grip. Mullet gun. Awesomeness.
I bought one back in April 2018 and I had dozens of misfires and feed issues. Sent it to Sig and they literally replaced everything except for the frame
I'm having the same issues. May I ask what kind of ammo you used before sending it for repairs? I was using 147 grain reloads and it kept jamming on feed and wouldn't go into full battery. I'm pretty sure it's my grip causing limp wrist or it might be the ammo. Just want feedback as I will be taking it to the range with 124 grain ammo like blazer brass or so.
Timely video for me, just picked up a new Sig P365. So glad to see you've had zero problems with it. My first Sig too. Now it's off to the range to shoot it!
I bought the first p365 to come through The Armory just south of Murfreesboro, TN, and with almost 3000 rounds cycled through it I just haven't had any issues. Another great vid H45!
I'm happy y'all did this chapter 2. I got mine with a born on of December 2019 and have almost 2k rounds thru it with no issues. I love this little pistol.
I love my sig p365 got it about 8 months ago and I shoot it pretty often and never had a malfunction. I recommend this gun to everyone that I know looking to buy
I love my Sig 365 with a Talon grip, It amazes me how nice it feels and shoots for it size! Manual safety and pinky extension in a pocket holster...This is the top of the class pocket rocket!
Love mine. I had a problem with the slide and sent it back to Sig. I got it back in less than 2 weeks. It’s worked flawlessly ever since. To top it off, about a week after I got it back, a rep from Sig called me to make sure everything was OK with it. We had a nice chat. Talk about good customer service!
I have the Talon Tape on one grip and the Hogue sleeve grip on another. I was surprised how much I prefer the Hogue sleeve...it goes on very tightly and will not slip or move while shooting.
I bought my 365 a month after they came out. Took me 2 months for them to get it in but I've been shooting it fairly regularly for 2 years and have never had a malfunction (on an early production #). It's my regular carry weapon and my 2nd favorite Sig (my P226 MK25 is my favorite). Love the gun and the videos. Would love to see hickok45 do a cleaning video one day to show us what he does when he cleans one of these or other semi-auto pistols.
Hickok 45 Your ability to shoot both Right and Left handed is amazing. In the circle of friends you have are they also able to shoot as fast and accurate, this would include competition shoot offs.
I'm like you, I gave it about a year or so before recently buying mine. It's an incredible little shooter, I've had zero issues and striker drag is minimal. I may never carry another pistol - this coming from a Glock guy.
@@94SexyStang I did say I /may/ never carry another one ;) I honestly don't know how much better it gets than this, though, for such a tiny pistol to be so shootable, and have 10-12-15 rounds and be rated for 9mm +p. We're living in good times
@Frank Bonazza III Let's just say the Glocks have been in the safe for a while, lol. I still love my 23 and 19, but at this point, they're bug out guns.
I love mine. I ended up buying the tac pak. I wasn't exited about the manual safety on mine, but I appendix carry it most times because I am skinny as a rail. Great little shooter. I even take it on my mtb rides.
Had 2-3 malfunctions the first time I took it out. I chalk it up to break in, but it’s worth mentioning. Love it to death. Fits my hand great, holds a very adequate amount of ammunition, and is very accurate. Would recommend, especially for the price and SIG name
My son and I got our P365 in Jan 2019, and so far no issues whatsoever. We do have spare strikers for just in case, but they've been reliable and accurate enough to carry every day. I know we at least have the second gen striker with the wider firing-pin base, but not sure if they're the ones with the beveled/slanted firing pin.
Nice shooting my friend! When you connect with the target like that, it makes me want to buy one. I *LOVE* accurate smaller handguns! Gret video ! Keep'em coming!
Purchased a p365 and finally fired it yesterday for the first time. 20 rounds at the target and I thought"I'm a crack shot!" "It's the shoes" I enjoy your videos and it's cool that you and your son are a good team.
I’ve got both the standard and the SAS 365 , I’ve carried 1911 variants for decades so I modified both with a right handed only manual safety.. the SAS is my EDC and the standard is somewhere. Else.. love em both
Hickok, the original issue with strikers breaking was the result of one batch of p365s made with strikers that were not hardened properly. This is not speculation but, rather, a fact. The slight primer drag means zero in terms of posing risks of the striker breaking. The issue has been resolved. There sure are a lot of people who have zero idea what they are talking about speculating, but what I am saying is a simple fact. I agree with you - the p365 is a great gun.

I’ve never seen anybody with aim this perfect 👌🏿
Thanks for you service Sar'nt/Soldier! 👏 Respect!
At the end John say's.."This is a Great Gun for da fence"... As he is hammering a nail in da fence!
I own it. Love it. Zero issues and have recommended to dozens of friends/family.
DOESN'T mean others haven't had issues..........
Mike Fu a few others having issues don't mean most people have. Works both ways.
Mike Fu Shut up Mike!
I own this gun and quite a few other handguns. This is my favorite. No problems and love it!! 😀😄🤩😁
I like when John zeroes in on the gong. Sometimes you can actually see the rounds going in.
Yeah that's so neat when you can see the bullets heading toward the gong
This did it for me, getting mine this week! Thank you sir!.. great video.
Good luck finding one of these or any handgun for that matter under a thousand bucks! 🔫
Got it!..$675!.. Bad ass gun!
Yep I’m picking one up tomorrow
The P365 was the first gun I ever bought. In the shop, I held several different guns, but kept going back to the P365. It just felt better in my hand than any other gun I held that day. A while later, I traded it for 2 Kahr pistols. Ended up selling those and got me another P365 and that's been my go to gun since. Never had any issues with it and I use the 10 and 15 round mags. Great gun, very good choice for conceal carry.
“This is like paradise” as he shoots his three Sigs. Hilarious.
and the fur on the table with the bucket of ammo and 9 more cases and loaded mags. very nice circumstance
Sounds like he knows what paradise is.
Doug Whitesell Shooting a great gun as much as you want with your son. I’d call it paradise too.
I read this EXACTLY as he said it during the video. Badass.. LOL
Love LOVE love my P365X. Started its life as a 365. I carried with the 12 rounders so long I swapped out the grip assembly for the XL. Creating the P365X. Short slide, long grip. Mullet gun. Awesomeness.
you should give the hogue grip sleeve a try, it really thickened up the grip nicely for me.
I like the hogue grips but I don't like how they make my shirt ride up.
Sadly I just picked one up and had the whole cafeteria of problems. Sent it back to SIG, excited to get it back. I loved it when it was shooting well.
I bought one back in April 2018 and I had dozens of misfires and feed issues. Sent it to Sig and they literally replaced everything except for the frame
Same with mine.
That's all a company has to do when one gets by the goalie! Great news.
@@chavisaur unfortunately I don't really remember what kind I was using.
@@chavisaur Its rated for that just send it back for investigation. You have a warranty.
Timely video for me, just picked up a new Sig P365. So glad to see you've had zero problems with it. My first Sig too. Now it's off to the range to shoot it!
Love this pistol, carry it everyday! Thanks for this great video!! #Prayers4America
Same with the exception of i got mine in may and have almost 5K through it with zero problems. I absolutely love this thing
Good to hear. Just bought one less than a week ago.
Just bought my husband a P365!!! He loves it!!!! Always watch Hickok 45’s reviews before we buy!!! 👍🏼👏🏼
"It could be the pot I smoked earlier..."
Hilarious
“..those three pots I smoked” 😅
He definitely smokes the herb lol
Love mine. I had a problem with the slide and sent it back to Sig. I got it back in less than 2 weeks. It’s worked flawlessly ever since. To top it off, about a week after I got it back, a rep from Sig called me to make sure everything was OK with it. We had a nice chat. Talk about good customer service!
Looking for my first gun. Thank you for making such informative videos. This is one I'll definitely be on my list to test out at my local range.
What gun did you end up going with?...just interested.
Aye I'm curious as well. What'd you end up with?
Sooo what did you get?
Love my P365, especially with a Hogue grip on it. It fills my hand perfectly, Pilgrim!
I have the Talon Tape on one grip and the Hogue sleeve grip on another. I was surprised how much I prefer the Hogue sleeve...it goes on very tightly and will not slip or move while shooting.
Thanks for the info on the hogue grip
I brought mine in Apr 19 and have had no problems. with over 1500 rounds. Keep shooting! Enjoy your videos.
Great video I just bought one. Bout 400 rounds through it so far no primer drag and no issues. Great gun
He did
I just purchased one based on the positive review. Thanks for the info! Really enjoy your videos!
I may never carry another pistol - this coming from a Glock guy.
you WILL carry something else......eventually something better will come along, that's just the way it goes.
More likely limp wristing, the gun is exceptionally light weight
yes, that's primer drag. Newer versions they have lengthened the pin a bit. Probably increased the drag but lessened chance of breakage.
Absolutely love my 365. A wonderful micro blaster I carry everyday with 2 extra mags for backup. My Glocks are safe queens at the moment lol
I have an obsession for magazines too. Have had for a long time. Now I'm obsessed with finding mags for the Shield Plus I recently bought.
I also love mine. I added the Hogue Handall grip sleeve to mine and it made it a perfect fit for my hand. Thanks for doing what you do!!
I got the SIG M17 military issue and I absolutely Love it. Im a huge SIG fan and couldn't be happier with All of them that I've had over ther years.
"I'm weird in my own ways and youre weird in youre own ways." I like that.
same
My son and I got our P365 in Jan 2019, and so far no issues whatsoever.
20 rounds at the target and I thought"I'm a crack shot!"
"It's the shoes"
I enjoy your videos and it's cool that you and your son are a good team.
I would recommend that you look into the $10 grip sleeve from hogue as well. The palm swell really gives the minuscule grip module better control.
I too purchased it. Haven't shot it with it installed yet, but it is REALLY comfortable and well worth the 10$ to try it out.
No lies here, at all
Thanks, immediately ordered.
I don't need a sleeve. Fits my hands perfectly as is! 😂😀😍🤩
I’ve got both the standard and the SAS 365 , I’ve carried 1911 variants for decades so I modified both with a right handed only manual safety.. the SAS is my EDC and the standard is somewhere. Else.. love em both
Hickok45 is the only man who can turn a metal pig target into a rotisserie by shooting at it
Hickok, the original issue with strikers breaking was the result of one batch of p365s made with strikers that were not hardened properly.
18:11 ".50 AE Desert Eagle is a great little pocket gun." 🤣🤣🤣 I guess it depends on your pocket more than anything.
Picked one up yesterday, a365 tac pac came with 3 12 rounds magazines and a holster for 627$. Really nice pistol.
Hey Hickok I just learned about your channel and subbed a few weeks ago, your channel is great TY. I just bought a p365 last Saturday and i can report that mine has zero striker drag. I bought mine new
This guy’s reviews are so awesome. I always look forward to watching his videos. Thank you!
