One critical thing to remember if your P365 .380 has a safety is that the slide won't completely reassembly unless you slightly press your safety lever up when putting on the slide.
Finally a “how to” video that doesn’t first spend 9 minutes talking! Great vid!
Thank you Kenn!
That's exactly what I was thinking, this is how videos should be done.
@@MB-ke9mi Thank you!
@@bige2012 true but it was done tastefully though, not dragging on and blah blah blahh….
I've been around guns since I was a kid but still decided to watch a cleaning a video now that I have my first gun as an adult. This was EXACTLY what I wanted; no bullshit, clear language, any added opinions were backed up with experience. Thanks a ton, I will definitely check your other vids and stop in get a snake and to purchase other things when the time comes. THANK YOU!
Thank you sir.
Thats good because guns are not the same as those from 100 years ago.
Ditto! What you said.
Yep, the perfect tutorial, no unnecessary dialogue.
Perhaps the BEST instruction-video for gun-maintenance I have seen (on any firearm). I give it a 5-star ThumbsUp. Many thanks !
I just bought my P365 3 days ago, it's my first firearm. Thank you for this excellent video, geared to the beginner. Very well done.
Bill Cinnamon Congratulations on your new P365. You made a great choice.
Just picked one up myself. Always been a Glock guy, my EDC was a Glock 19 for the last 5 years. But as soon as I held the P365, I knew I had to get it. The grip I get on it feels like it was made perfectly for my hand. Plus, only 3 rounds less than the 19 was a no brainer. Can't wait to get out to the range and try her out. Stupid COVID is ruining everything.
Crystal clear presentation and unlike a lot of UA-camrs, excellent audio. THANKS!
Thanks bro, I stripped it along your video for the first time.
I gotta say, one of the most professional learning vids I have seen. I give y'all extra props for stating the facts and not veering off into a meaningless rant. Great job and thank you very much, I appreciate y'all.
This has been THE BEST and CLEAREST tutorial I have ever seen. THANK YOU!!!!!
One of the best I have watched as refresher for cleaning my P365X. Thank you! Had to pause it quite a few times along the way and rewind a bit but very good tutorial.
I made one specifically for the P365 XL if you want to take a look.
Thanks..
Once again, I defer to your video for cleaning my SIG. Thank again for your help…from a old Navy Veteran.
That’s a great compliment. Thank you Tom!
You’re the only one who explained to actually drop the slide via the lever while guiding it off the frame. Thanks mate
Excellent instruction. Very clear and appreciate the pauses and arrows when explaining.
Probably the best tutorial video I have ever watched ... great job & deeply appreciated!!!
Thank you!
Best straight forward instructional video ever!!! Appreciate the no bs and great audio!!! 🙏
I get a great sense of satisfaction every time I clean my guns. Its satisfying to see the gun clean and ready to go.
Ikr!!!
Straight forward and to the point. Thanks for making this understandable and not too long.
Easy to follow video. Without all the chit chat. Thank you.
I know you geared this for beginners. I have not seen a Sig Sauer P365 cleaning video that suggests removing the (FCU) Fire Control Unit. I always do. It only takes a minute, a small punch & a bit of cleaner of your choice. I always find "Dirt" for lack of better words. I feel this is as important as cleaning anyother part of your pistol. Great video, Thank you- God bless.
Great video. So much easier (for me, at least) than striping my Glock 19. I bought my Sig P365 Micro a few days ago and will clean and lube it before I shoot it for the first time.
Yeah, they're really stiff without the lubricant on the first time firing.
Heck of a thorough cleaning! I thought I was the only one that understood how to vigorously clean. Thanks for a professional presentation. Keep the videos coming, friend.
Thanks, right to the point! Great video.
Absolutely excellent video sir, you made my first cleaning go like a well cleaned Sig. Thank you a million from a French man in South Africa.
This is an excellent video. I thought I had made a big mistake buying this weapon due to difficulty with field stripping, especially reassembly. Even people at the gun shop were struggling with this. Several videos were horrible until I found this. The video is clear and the explanation excellent. Thank you.
This is about the easiest gun to strip down and reassemble lol
Hands down the best cleaning video yet. I just cleaned mine for the 1st time and realized I did nearly everything wrong. I hope my gun is ok 😢
Excellent instructional video. Clear presentation. Good quality. Recommended.
Great video ! About to clean my SIG and this by far was simple and a straightforward way to clean - Thanks for sharing!
Fantastic video. Straight to the point. Thank you!
You’re welcome.
thanks for showing this! Getting my first p365 for my permit and was curious how difficult it was to clean it.
Best video for cleaning a 365. Thank you!
Thank you soo much!
This is the best video I've seen, extremely well done. Thank you.
Well done Sir. A thorough presentation on proper gun maintenance. I may just go out and buy a bore snake now.
Excellent video, simple, concise, and good pointers as well. Thanks!
Thank you!
Thank you so much. Best video for newbies like me. I was so scared to do this.
very good job describing the procedure. Thanks
100% helped me reassemble my 365, had forgot to push slide stop up before returning the take down lever into the necessary position.
fleetwood tusk Glad I could help. 👍🏼
Yeah that threw me, I was used to Glocks. Had to sit there and fiddle for some time when I got it home from the gun store.
Awesome video! Just bought my first sig and was able to take it down no problem thanks to you
Thanks and congratulations Jacob!
Just got one myself. You make it look like a very enjoyable process. Great video!
Excellent tutorial. Thanks!
Nice video. Getting one of these for my fiancée for a carry gun and this was very informative!
Just purchased my p365 today really helpful video thanks man
Congratulations on your new P365!
Straight to the point love this
Thank you so much for that information, was able to take apart a very dirty 365 I just bought used from the store.
Nice video man, concise but thorough.
Exactly what I do pretty much. I clean the polymer parts on surface separately though. Some gun cleaners, solvents for sure will put some age on the polymer. The CLP's are definitely not all created the same. Gentle warm rag to wipe off the polymer and then light oil or light Ballistol is what I do for the polymer. But then again, BreakFree CLP prob will do it forever on everything but the polymer might look like mine 10 years later, lol.
I rarely use the word excellent ... But this is one excellent photo from verbiage - Screen framing - to instructions.
Thank you so much! I was nervous as #$%@! Before I cleaned I took it apart and put it back together 3 times. Man was I ever happy and relieved to hear those 2 clicks at the end to know I did it right.
The very best cleaning videos
Thank you. So clear even I can follow it.
Peter Cohen Thanks for watching Peter. 👍🏼
Nice video. I don't even own a gun and I watched it until the end.
go buy one and flex your rights bro it’s important
Best video yet
Nice video, clean and simple. Thank you. Using the slide release to free the slide during take-down was incredibly tough on mine the first time, took a lot of thumb strength to press.
Yes, slide lock takes a few iteration before slide it works smoother. Then, only way I got it lock and stay in place was with barrel pointed left and slide in left hand, push it back and use my right thumb to push up the slide lock. Tried several ways and it sure is awkward to say the least until I did it this way.
To the point and a good speaker.
Thank you sir.
Excellent video!! Very detailed and very easy to understand and follow directions! Thank you!
Very nice presentation. Only thing I would add is put a few snap caps in your mag. Insert the mag and rack the slide till the mag is empty to make sure it's feeding and chambering correctly.
Question about cleaning sequence. Firing the weapon creates powder residue generally and projectile residue in the barrel. These are dry substances so why don’t you first use a dry brush on barrel and other surfaces to get the bulk of the debris off before using solvent. Seems to me you would use less solvent and have less slush to clean up. What do you think?
CLP works faster. It does not create sludge.
Really good tutorial. Very detailed.
Thanks for sharing coz its informative for me.
Excellent video. I personally prefer only using the bore snake but that's because I'm lazy. Haven't paid for it yet, but maybe someday.
Outstanding presentation.Thank you.
Simply excellent!
Best video I have seen on cleaning a Sig 365- Nice job.
Thanks for making this vid, very easy to follow and execute.
VERY GOOD EASY TO FOLLOW MAYBE NEXT TIME SHOW THE TWO PRODUCTS YOU WERE USING A SPRAY AND I THINK AN OIL....OTHER WISE FOR A FIRST TIME FIELD DISASSEMBLY AND PUT BACK TOGETHER JUST A FEW USER ERRORS BUT NOW I HAVE DONE IT THREE TIME AND FEEL LIKE I GOT IT... THANKS
Too notch instructional 👍🏼👍🏼
One question ; how do I get a 365 in that finish / coloring ?
It’s a beauty !
It’s the NRA Edition.
Very well done video!
If the slide doesn’t go back, make sure the safety pin on the bottom back right of the frame is down.
Every now & then I remove the trigger unit. I think Sig has some stake in CLP. They push it like they own a ton of stock in it.
So I just got this gun and I just followed your tutorial. I did everything that you showed but when it came time to reassemble, after sliding it back the takedown lever did not snap into place
Hard to diagnose with out seeing it. Take it to your local gun shop and have them take a look.
I go one step further by cleaning the striker/firing pin assembly and striker channel but yes I clean it the same way. I start with the barrel and chamber using bore solvent (Hoppe's #9) and a copper brush keep doing it until I get fairly clean paper towel patches on a jag or plugs. Then light oil or WD40 in the bore and run a final dry patch or plug down for a dry bore. Scrub the outside and feed ramp with WD40 and old toothbrush then wipe down. WD40 the spring and guide rod, scrub, and wipe down. Slide the same way you do but I use WD40 and wipe down. CLP is a little harsh for my liking. I clean my striker channel out, striker/firing pin and spring assembly. Wipe and swab down and reinstall. I clean the channel with a combination of nylon bore brush, Q-tip, and pipe cleaner. Swab out with a paper towel plug and bore mop or chamber mop. I clean my frame the same way you do and wipe down. Finally I add a little gun grease on the rails, breech underside, slide barrel and guide rod ports, and any wear areas. After reassembly then final wipe down. Pistols are made better than some would give them credit for and using the slide catch to release the slide will not harm the pistol. It is faster and one less motion than having to manually grab and pull the slide back and release. If it harmed the pistol then the pistol would not be able to function as intended by the designers. Thanks for sharing.
Great vid. Thanks
Very helpful video, thank you!
Great video easy to follow! Question just got my P365 and the slide doesn’t seem oiled should I break it down clean it and oil the rails?? Sorry I’m a newbie.
Less is better light film of oil on the rails you'll be good to go
Thank you!
Really good job. Thank you!
Thank you
Nice job
I like the brown one but I have the black one, got it before the brown one came out.
Great video! Where did you find a desert sand P365? That's f'n cool! Again, great tutorial.
They are common. Ask your local dealer for the NRA Edition.
@@SkullCrushInc, Thank you.
Use compressed air (sold also in a can) to flush out any fluid or cleaner in any part of the gun. Every part needs to be cleaned, even the striker channel.
i also do that. great tip
Bama HI Absolutely I have a airbrush compressor that I use works great!
thats what i was thinking....spray it all down and blow it out. Damn near done then.
The kit you linked does not come with a 9mm brush and mop according to Amazon reviews? -edit- ended up going with their hand gun kit from same company. Thanks for the excellent video!
Do u really need to clean the outside frame? Serious Q
Not if you don’t mind getting your hands dirty everytime you touch the gun.
Very helpful thank you!!
will this work for my sig fuse
@@Classycara yes
Is there a reason why the barrel wasn't cleaned with a wire brush and only a couple of patches?
It was. You must have missed part of the video.
"Similar to the P320, but it won't go off by itself."
I have the same NRA p365 and my slide has some scratches. Anyway to remote or minimize them?
Start using a holster with a leather interior. Kydex is terrible on the finish. Nothing you can do to fill in the scratches. It would need to be re-finished.
Great review!! Thanks
My biggest question every time is about the Lube where to put it and how much. Seems you kind of skipped by that.
Would appreciate that detail. I have a p365 & a P320 and need the same information for both.
I made a more detailed video on it here: ua-cam.com/video/9QUR1YGweh0/v-deo.html
@@SkullCrushInc awesome!!! Thank you!
Thank you
excellent video!
Good video
Thx
I thought the manual for this gun says to NEVER ride the slide forward by hand , but instead to always let it go. Riding the slide forward by hand can cause issues per the manual. Now I’m confused
That’s only with ammo in it. Yes, the slide needs to sling forward on its own momentum when chambering a round.
With no ammo, it is not a good thing to let the side slam home. Here’s a video explaining why: ua-cam.com/video/LJdsSJsNKU8/v-deo.htmlsi=6PLNC4tbPxe0wDId
I recently had a Crimson Trace green laser put on my Sig P365. Would you advise I tape over that when doing such a thorough cleaning? Thanks for the great video.
Tom Martino I’ve never used a laser but tape wouldn’t hurt.
Definitely tape over the laser lens or it’ll be spotty for a long time
The pick device is called a jag. Good video.
Yes, a jag. Thank you
@@SkullCrushInc you're welcome.
Excellent
Is that the p365 micro compact? Was that a special order to have the whole gun coyote tan?
It’s the NRA Edition.
When i took apart the magazine the bottom part came apart and there was some glue. Is it ok i took that out?
Haven’t seen glue it a mag yet. Must be something new.
As long as it goes back together correctly, it should be fine.
Great video!
Thank you very much!
