Hey Daniel I had a question. Me and my uncle usually fish there for carp and don’t have any luck. I was wondering if there are any stripers there? I’ve seen anchovie bags so many times on the floor and was wondering if they were catching stripers. Also are the catfish big in there?

Good eating fish too. If your ever out that way again, hit up Twitchell Island Road. It’s right past Brannon Island and that bridge on the right. Red ears, crappie, blue gill, etc. Good spots all along that road especially when the weather starts warming up like it is.

just a note..if you barbless hooks, or just squish down the barbs on the hooks you are using... makes it much easier to remove the fish from the hooks.. and you wont loose any fish..i have been fly fishing for decades, from a child,, and always uses barbless hooks.. and one great thing about barbless hooks.. when you hook yourself. .its easier to remove the hook... but great fish..i like to fly fish for bluegills and crappie on my 7 foot bamboo fly rod..its lots of fun..
Yeah I know about barbless I use em when carp fishing but it would work good for the bluegill too I will have to implement that next time

Just so everyone knows the truth. That is not the Sacramento River. That is some small off shoot somewhere. The Sacramento River is much bigger with current. There is no current where he is at.
There's a lot off shoots to the sacramento river...Nor cal is full of creeks, rivers, lakes, and marshlands

No I do not... This place does not have a address I just pulled on the side of the river and started fishing. There is bluegill and crappie all along the sac river
