This cop is a pro. Nice defuse defuse defuse.
He's far, far, far from the only one that would have been able to handle that situation.
Way too much defuse. Once you tell them to chill out, they need to do it. The second time he started threatening the other guys, he should have been put in cuffs. He was basically asking for it when he continuously said he was gonna mess them up.
@@okstate999 she didn’t say he was the only one. But he did a great job. He obviously knows Gary and knows how he is and how to handle the situation. There was no reason for him to go to jail, he wasn’t being out of control. The situation was diffused and everyone went on about their night.

Edit: we need more cops like this man. Yeah the meth head was pushing it, but this officer didnt taze, detain, or shoot anybody and finished with both parties resolved
That's why it's always important for an officer to get to know the community, once you make a name and a respectable title in the community and with people, you earn that respect from them. Maybe not all people, but a large majority.

This cop is "one of the good ones" even though I watch a lot of these videos i have never commented. By a lot I mean I watch it every day when they post a new one LOL. And I see tactics by police that they might be legally entitled to but aren't necessary at the time. I think this officer proves that you can use actual judgment and just diffuse the situation and let it go. Even though the guys an a****** getting in a cops face doesnt equal assault on a policeman. He just got on with his day. What an actuall hero.
It's a lot more common than you think....idk why you think this is so rare. Any cop worth their salt is capable of handling that situation. It's not rocket science to determine someone is mentally ill.
This cop is basically every cop in the Netherlands lol :) But i understand either way. Im glad when a cop is chill, but there are cops who just dont take any chances and you have to respect that too. And even they will not tase you unless youre not cooperating and fail to listen to the warnings. If you havent done anything wrong and you just cooperate either one will treat you fair. This cop is really gorgeous btw :)
The officer literally defused the situation by distracting Gary the whole time the car was being delivered. He’s an amazing cop and is one of my faves!

What an amazing cop. He could have easily escalated the entire thing and found a reason to put him in cuffs. I love how cops like him can show restraint and give people a chance to be emotional without flexing their badge power. Very appreciated wish more had his mannerisms

I prefer the old school cops the are a little quicker with the baton and pepper spray. You get one warning not to approach the truck driver just doing his job. After that you go face first into the pavement. The cop on LivePD are too touchy-feely.
