I could say fun facts about vaginas and not worry people thought I was being inappropriate. Even if it's telling your friend "You can't sign your name on this project because you didn't do anything." SAY IT BECAUSE THEY DON'T DESERVE FALSE CREDIT EVEN IF THEY WON'T LIKE YOU ANYMORE. I'm going into high school next year but I've learned this after years in elementary school trying to be popular... What made high school better than middle school was that in middle school, you had to take all electives, but in high school, you don't. Also in middle school, you couldn't just leave the cafeteria, you had to be dismissed table by table, but in high school, you can leave the cafeteria whenever you want. Freshman year was my least favorite because I was miserable in my elective, which was chorus because the class was stupid and i hated the songs. Sophomore year got better because I took more satisfying electives which were level one wood shop and a word processing computer class. What was better about junior year is that I completed the two year second language class requirement so I was ale to take level two wood shop, metal shop, and desktop publishing. Senior year was the best because I completed the three year math, science, and history requirement, so I took electricity, auto shop, and a couple of business classes and now I'm no longer in high school anymore. I graduated in 2006.

Oh wow. Your high school is way different than mine. We don't have honors classes in grade 9, and we only choose two electives. My electives are drama and buisness technologies.

For my school, my friend that's a senior told my friends and I that most people carry their backpacks but some choose to just bring binders! I plan to bring my backpack around the first day and throughout the year. Hope that helps!
Do it! Some teachers even make you start working on the first day. My english teacher my freshman year made us do work. But if you have textbooks, don't bring them. But make sure you have your pens/pencils, binder/notebooks, and bckpack with you. Better be safe than sorry. (:

And be prepared to have many major grade projects all due at once. I'm not trying to scare you, but it's the honest true.

They don't look "extremely hard" at your grades then. They mainly look at your transcript and your final grades on your report card. Junior year is the most important year to keep your grades up.

Your FRESHMEN and your SOPHOMORE are your most important years in high school. The first two years in high school determine your rank and GPA. Your Junior Year is the year you start applying for colleges so if your GPA sucks or is really low from your freshmen and sophomore year than the universities will see that. So try your hardest your freshmen and sophomore year.
Best tip, if your school has a JROTC program, join that shit. JROTC is a military program that teaches you a lot of stuff (both for military and civilian life.) You will meet your best friends there and look badass doing that, as a USMC O-3 Cadet Captain I have learned so much about respect, honor, and what its like to be a good team player and leader. I have met so many people I can call my brothers and sisters today and am doing it for my final year. Plus you get to wear that sexy uniform that almost everybody loves.

Yeah, mostly us Canadians have that. we have elementary, middle school/junior high and senior high. Senior high is pretty much the start of real high school for us because Jr high is mixed in with middle school and elementary most the times but some just have elementary and middle school by itself.

Honestly, it doesn't matter if you go to a party or not. I have successfully been to 0 parties in the 4 years I've been at high school. And it didn't matter at all. And it depends on what kind of people they are. But a lot of 9th graders early on have a tough time finding a dealer for drugs...just my advice.

At my school, the first day is just getting our schedules, so I don't bring my bookbag. The second day, we get our lockers etc so I bring it then!

+Alexis Silver it depends how many classes we take here... If were to take no free-periods all of highschool and pass every class, I would graduate in 3 years. If I failed a class then I would have to take that class senior year.

At my country, it's elementary (is it right?) is 1-5, middle is 6-9 and high is (again) 1-4, or 1-3. That's how we do :-D

Yeah, mostly us Canadians have that. we have elementary, middle school/junior high and senior high. Senior high is pretty much the start of real high school for us because Jr high is mixed in with middle school and elementary most the times but some just have elementary and middle school by itself.

I need advice on high school parties...I'm in grade 9, never been to one, but a friend of mine (who I'm not really close to) is throwing a New Years party, and I know there will be drugs and alcohol and all that and I've never been involved in any of those. If I don't go, am I missing out? Should I go? I don't really want to do drugs or anything... I'm a good student and don't want to jeopardize any school work or family relationships, I'm just torn I guess. Should I go? Please offer me advice it'd be really appreciated, thanks :)

Honestly, it doesn't matter if you go to a party or not. I have successfully been to 0 parties in the 4 years I've been at high school. And it didn't matter at all. And it depends on what kind of people they are. But a lot of 9th graders early on have a tough time finding a dealer for drugs...just my advice.
Yeah, and I'm defiantly not the type of kid that is into drugs and stuff...I'm a straight A, goody two shoes. Lol

Honors & regular r really the range thing. Honors just has more work. AP is completely different & is on a college level. The only class tht was different in my state (or school) for honors was math
you know what, everything is fine unless you have a class like my honors english class because it was literally college work but guess what? freshman year is over kids we made it
