As a former teacher assistant in China... I will pray for all the other asian kids whos parents stumble upon this story.
I didn’t think of that 😭

LOL. That’s funny.
But on a serious note, let’s not stereotype Americans of Asian decent.

Edit: Mama, I did it! I'm famous!
he's the type of guy who can actually get jobs from online jobseeker web
I don't think he is getting those degree to get a job. I'm assuming he will try to get more college degrees and masters degree and PhD next.
Right 😂
Hahahaha I see these ads.. We need 20 years experience and you were in diapers at that time yet they are looking for new graduates...
😂 for what? To work 70 hours a week until 70. For a college dropout worth billions. 😢 😂
This kid is special, even many grown up do not have this level of self-control and motivation. I hope people around to support him, let him become special and bring many great things to his community
No he is not special. Associates is a very easy degree to obtain like a GED even your dog can get a 2.0 at the end of it just for trying.
He is not special. He's going to be severely burned out even before he reaches adulthood like many before him.

@@Creations-hj2kq wouldn’t say it’s easy, still requires work, and while it’s a lot less credits for an associates than a bachelors, he’s got 5… look at it from a different perspective. What do you think it took him to accomplish that? Discipline, regardless what his reason was he had his reason and to him it was bigger than anything else that’s why he was able to succeed.
It is actually simple to just be happy for others.
Congratulations to the child and his parents for valuing education to the point that he is taking college classes at the age of 12!

Inspirational. I’m mad my community college highly discouraged me going for a dual degree, meanwhile Clovis out here with five degrees. I am going to bring this link to a meeting with them Monday morning because. Why Clovis gets to have five degrees when I can only have one. Go ‘head Clovis!!! 🥳
He got associate degrees. Those aren’t really going to help you in anything.

@@aj-sz8mu he definitely got scholarship
He's obviously very gifted mentally. It will be interesting to see what he does for a career, hopefully it's not wasted. I'm an adult in college. How did he even have the actual physical time to attend classes....? Like how is it possible? Id like to see the breakdown of the schedule.
I was thinking the same. And just doing two at once can collide in exams and obligatory seminars.

@@NadeemAhmed-nv2br 2 yes that's duable. 5?
Yeah, I’m so confused. How is this possible?
I hope he is doing these things because he wants to do them. I can definitely see a smart kid getting bored by public K-12 education; it's unfortunate they can't meet his learning rate needs in typical public school. If his parents are pushing him into this, I hope they realize that the kid will not have a lot of the priceless memories and experiences that one has growing up with his or her peers in the teen years and early college days. Being in college at 21 is truly an experience.
"it's unfortunate they can't meet his learning rate needs in typical public school"
He got into college after the 2nd grade. There is no way the typical school system could meet his learning rate. He skipped most of grade school, and high school entirely.
I never thought about this before but the law says you have to attend high school until a certain age, does this apply to him still? Or maybe he can still choose to participate in high school stress-free and be able to chill out before going back to university for another degree.
I'm about to be 21, and my college experience has been lame😭😭😭
@@lovyluna3792 How was your IQ determined? Curious what method you used to find out.
I would keep an eye on him especially as he develops and has less in common with his peers as an (young)adult. I can see feelings of resentment and alienation from within and outside his professional and personal spheres along with his own feelings of resentment for not experiencing a more typical childhood. He can risk not learning how to cope with stress the right way.
Way to go, Clovis! Don't just dream but take actions to turn it into reality. You're incredible. Best wishes on the road ahead.
I'm genuinely happy for this boy and his mother. He seems well-adjusted and enjoying his endeavors. 🙂Congratulations to this young man and his mom. May you both enjoy good health, happiness and, continued success. 🤲🏽😊❤👍🏽👨🏻👩🏻
That's not 5 degrees. It's one degree with 5 concentrations. I assume he chose Fullerton so he could get the associate's degree then go somewhere like Berkeley for his bachelor's.
No question this kid accomplished a lot, much more than many adults already. I don’t want to diminish that. If I could give one piece of advice, it would be focus on one subject.
That is amazing. So proud of this young man.
you know you've made your parents proud when they tell you to relax and take it easy from study
Most of the majors he described seem to be actually doable.
Some colleges like for an associates in mathematics tend to be light in the amount of classes you have to take.
In my college, to get such associates in math, you’ll need 3 calculus classes, 3 units from the list A, and 3 from list B. (Basically one class from list A and list B)
These majors seem to make quite some sense and can be done if you have the determination of only focusing on studying.
Yeah i was thinking it was going to be at least one proper bachelor's degree in a STEM field.
Sill impressive but not what i expected.
@@P.90.603 basically that, but one problem is that such “gifted” people who are really skilled and talented at a young age, will then start to deteriorate later on.
I have seen many young talents outperforming the rest of their peers, but later in life as they get older, they get into some bad stuff. I hope this kids is conscious about his life decisions…
@@P.90.603 or they look at the realities of life not some fantasy perfect world. Better to standing on firm ground than loony clouds.
@P.90.603 You're putting people down in a rather negative way... Ironic!
It is just terrible advice to say do not be realistic, though. You sound like you are just doubling down...
These people are just right: there is a big difference between an associates and a bachelor's. I got 4 associates in a year and a half and double majored in math in physics. The latter two get much more complicated at upper level.
For a 12 year old, this is better in my mind, loading up on associates, since he can get his feet wet and see what he wants to do. Maybe too rushed still, idk. I have stories from my youth I love telling because it paints a different picture of what you see today. Being impressive with degrees can make someone 1D... Dang that was kinda negative
I heard that as well with gifted study not developing study habit, but he seems fine currently and hopefully he has support systems like his parents.
I love his mom! ❤ She’s proud of him but wants him to remember how to be a kid too
His talents fit extremely well into what our society demands right now. This is not the case for most people, he is very lucky, I wish him a successful and happy life.

What an inspiring story. I hope to learn from this and make studying my hobby as well! 😊
Hes moving too fast. I knew a friend in high school that banged out 4 degrees before he got his HSD. About a couple years ago I had seen him walking the streets in California & asked him what happened, he said he suffered from burnout, got drunk & was caught in a domestic abuse incident.
Right from the gate the kid might have an unstable future if burnout doesn't get to him.
I agree these kids definitely burnout fast.
He was so eager to start school he decided to be born premature, that is definition of dedication ❤
Proud of you kid. At 21, I hope you are having fun.
Aww I love this, some ppl say he missed out on his childhood but some gifted kids are going to be bored at a regular public school education. And he doing higher levels classes and still doing actives other then school
Good to see such a young person make the most out of his time.
and then I bet someone's gonna reply to this saying "but he missed out on his childhood - 🤓" LIKE BRUH WHO CARES, plenty of people missed out on childhood including me, at least this kid has something to show for it

The best job for this dude is motivating people with adhd like me. He has so much energy & self-motivation! So weird for adhd people..
His parents must be super proud! This little guy is a genius. Glad that he is so successful now. Glad that his mom is not a tiger mom, but she does not need to as he is so self sufficient.
My mother ABSOLUTELY CANNOT find out about this kid
this is sad, this kid will grow up without the joy going through grade schools. e.g. Playing Hooky, painting the neighborhood with arts, having a laughter with CBD, physically mentor other kids and reading that graduated level of maxim magazine under the desk.
Holy Cow...God Bless this young man I hope he goes on to be great
The boy's performance is a reflection of his effort!
While other people were wasting their time, he had been studying hard enough to get that feat!
I love kid prodigys. They're like some of the smartest kids around.
Congratulations 👏. You are a remarkable kid and should do very well in your future . I do hope the US & his parents nurture him in a positive way because I know there's a country right now taking notice and the US can't allow for him to fade away.
Thanks for my siblings, cousins & friends helping me making my homework & essays to look made by pros.
The other 12-year-old are still trying to find out their true genders in the U.S.😂
Don’t hate him because he is successful at such young age. Many will think he is missing an entire “childhood”by spending all his time studying and learning. But that is his childhood and he seems to enjoy it. For most people childhood is playing in the dirt running around and screaming mindlessly, or playing video games.😅😅
He saved himself from being smothered in students loans. Great strategy.
Congratulations to your academic achievement I am proud of you earning those associate degrees is a great accomplishment keep up the good work!
He’s very very mature for his age

But what do they do with all those degrees, smartness? Serious question. I guess just being smart is enough.
Kids gonna feel like he didn't have a childhood.
I mean if study makes him happy, then so be it. We drink beer and hang out with buddy since those make us happy. As long as they're happy and not hurting anyone, then so be it.
Wrong. Why would you want him to hang out with normies? This kid will only hang out with other geniuses his age.
Nah he's gonna be grateful for the hard work he did as a child when he is older and making millions.
He’s been to 23 countries and is in plenty of after school activities, believe me he’s living his childhood
What is childhood compared to a successful adult life? You are definitely living paycheck to paycheck.
I applaud the mother for not pressuring him, but supporting him.
Incredible young man with a great mom 👍🏻
I can't believe they're still doing this after the many child prodigies who had such bad experiences. Look up the story of William James and how sad his life was. There is no need to rush. Stay in your grade and study on your own so you can develop socially with your peers.
Wow! That is incredible...5 degrees and has not even reached puberty yet!! Bravo!
Congratulations Clovis. You are quite the inspiration 🎉 🙏
This is amazing. Good job. Wow, 5 degrees for sure you can get more degrees. You're a talented man. You're a man.
I'm happy if he's safe and happy. I hope he rememebers to still be a kid and not work too hard :)

Congrats Clovis!
Even if they're associate degrees, he is on a very good start to upper div university courses. The civil air patrol stuff is probably also great for extracurriculars/community service when he applies to those places.
This kid is amazing. And I honestly feel like there's a lot of other children who can achieve similar results. But I personally feel like the school system holds children back from their potential.
How does he have 5 degrees at 12 when the work and hours it takes alone to get one is staggering? Are you allowed to just take finals when you get there?
Staggering for most people. He is definitely not "most people".
He doesn't sleep...........like, at all.
@@martinc.720 Yeah I know that. But the sheer amount of hours it takes to study, class, and test is enormous. If you pulled up all the hours and multiply it by five. It’s completely unrealistic and unhealthy to be up that long working that hard, kids can’t do that period. So I’m wondering if his schooling is structured differently because he’s gifted. I hope I don't seem like I'm stereo typing about Asians eating rice , but , that is their main dish . My ex boyfriend is Chinese and he ate rice at least twice a day , everyday. I can't go 2 days without Italian and Mexican food because I don't feel satisfied or happy and I end up dreaming about it in my sleep . Sorry for such a long comment .

Does this surprise you. I lived and studied in Taiwan, China, and Japan. The kids there compete and work hard for the best places in city high schools and national universities. The system is based on merit and hard work. I retired after 26 years in public education in Texas and was shocked at how far behind the American kids were. I pushed both my boys and found a good Catholic school for them. Both got scholarships to universities and were on the dean's list as honor students. One was a commended National Merit Scholar and recently got his Masters from the London School of Business after almost ten years as Expat in Asia. The other holds a good productive job and is looking at law school. Both were Eagle Scouts.
