- Star Wars Open World game by Ubisoft has currently entered its game testing phase, Ubisoft is inviting the public to come visit their studio or apply for a star wars open world game testing application where you can now play the game by signing the NDA if Ubisoft accepts you for it. Good part is that Ubisoft Star Wars open world gameplay is accessible by anyone and everyone if requested and accepted, which shows the amount of confidence ubisoft has on their game in terms of how players might receive it. Now the game will obviously be coming to Sony SIE PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X only as they've strictly already mentioned that it is going to be a next gen title. Now I am excited to see what we will get to see with the upcoming ubisoft star wars game that is open world

They need to have a character creator where you can play as a wide variety of aliens, not just the easy humanoid ones like Pantoran and Chiss. Im talking about the ability to create a Trandoshan, Wookie, Cathar, Talz, Bith, Gungan, etc.

There are in universe theories that hypothesize humans as not even originating from the known galaxy, traveling from somewhere beyond, and humans themselves having forgotten or lost that history.
Not having a true homeworld, humans instead are seen as a either a sort of galatic nomad or colonizer, having built their own or integrated themselves into many settlements across several planets, often times using their sheer numbers to instate themselves into positions of power, such as Naboo being ruled by humans despite the gungans clearly being the natives of the planet.

I’m not opposing bounty hunters but I don’t want a game where you can only play one, put both in like the old republic.. I don’t see why they couldn’t

An online mmo rpg with ever expanding planets would be a dream come true. Sith builds, Mandalorian builds, Jedi builds, star pilot builds, scoundrel builds, just imagine.

They did have an open world Star Wars game, it was called Star Wars Galaxies which was amazing in my opinion. I know about the combat upgrades and the NGE that a lot of players didn't like but it was still unique and very kickass. And yes they still do have another open world Star Wars game, it's called The Old Republic which is ok but not as good as Galaxies.

Please make it Skyrim style where you can customize/create your own character and then go on an adventure.. several planets/bases. Like let people choose to be a Jedi, or sith, or a soldier, or scrapper, ir smuggler, or bounty hunter/mandalorian, etc.. fuck that would be epic.

A cool Star Wars game would be if you could start by selecting a person/species to be (Such as Wookiee, droid, bounty hunter, Jedi, sith, stormtrooper. And each selection of a type of people would be its own story and gameplay. And when you complete one you move on the pick another till they are all done

Pong Home Edition(1975) was 2 years old, then Intellivision (1978) then the Commodore 64 (1982) thats what got me started. Have owned every console since. Yeah yeah I am old school gamer. But a Star Wars fan since 1977 after waiting in line for 3.5 hours to get in the theater.
I hope there's an option to be a droid and maybe, an option to be a companion to any player who'd need one. I'd want that.
Disclaimer: the rights have not been transferred to Ubisoft, nor did EA lose rights. EA had a contract that expired but they are still able to make Star Wars games. EA simply will no longer have exclusivity.
I just hope we can travel through systems and planets with our ships maybe like todays space simulators, it would be so cool

I would love to see an open world game where you play as a jedi general during the clone wars. You create your character from scratch. You can explore and reach higher ranks in the order, such as being a member of the Jedi Council. The plot would be very long, namely the clone wars alone could last about 60 hours. The plot at the beginning would normally be a fight against the separatist. Using your own tactics you can win or lose a battle which will affect the war. There would be an option to change the timeline, like preventing Order 66, but your character would have to figure it out on their own, so for example there would be an extra mission where you can find out about the chips in the heads of the clones or something. Your character gets older and if you die which would be hard then you start over as a new character and if you die for example during order 66 you have the choice of either creating a survivor character and having to survive and hide or starting over to re-create your own story.
I hope it'll be a really good singleplayer RPG with a lot of customization! That would be epic. Bonus for coop gameplay.
If it turns out to be a multiplayer / MMO, please do it right as a true next gen game with a good storyline.

Ubisoft often let players test their game so I dont think it says something about their confidene, but this one should be interesting. A collab of two legendary entertainment companies, who both have been in an abysmal state for years. Ive got little hope its going to be good, witch Kennedy most likely has her paws all over this game, though I wouldnt mind to go flat on my face and to be wrong. But its still 2022 and both companies are run by the wrong people.

Unlikely. If it's made with Lucas and Disney it's prolly going to be canon, meaning it can't be anything than centered around 1 character - like Fallen Order.

There was one until Sony killed it with the "New Game Experience". It was called Star Wars Galaxies and was absolutely incredible.

@@rjakiel73 Yeah, nice commercial. I played it too. Sheer boredom and lack of new content killed it for me, as it did many others. The universal problem with "Open world" games is that they take control of one form or another and shift them from one place or another or a different phase of the game. All the "Freedom" you are supposed to have is still regulated by other things and other players as well. I have never seen a player-driven economy that didn't eventually make all but the most basic levels of the game unplayable for everyone but low-level beginners. The prices in the shops mean you have to do nothing but grind to advance. And when you discover that you can't or don't want to spend 14 hours a day gaming, "Open worlds" that really are not all that open lose their lustre fast.
@@rocistone6570 SWG was not perfect but certainly far better than most. Then Sony killed it with the NGE. I absolutely LOVED my Ranger/Rifleman stalking prey and Nightsisters on Dathomir. Dropping a camp for folks so they could rest up. It was fantastic. The other favorite was the Beastmaster which was a game within a game. Then... WHAM!!! Fixed classes, no options and everyone became a medic or a Jedi. Funny thing. Medics could whoop EVERYONE'S ass with near impunity including Jedi.

I’ve been saying since battlefront on ps2 that they should do an open world bounty hunter game in the Star Wars universe. They could have ties to all the famous ones like Bane and Boba, includes Jedi hunting for the empire and just regular bounties. Emphasis on character customization I mean there’s so much you could do

There was an open world star wars game called SW Galaxies, however the tech was limit at the time and a fully realized galaxy wasn't really possible.
More recently there's Star Wars the Old Republic which has been going strong for Round 12 years now, well worth checking out if you want open world Star Wars.

I've always wanted a Star Wars Open-World game, and everytime I want something it ends up not happening or just not being good. This idea is too good to be true.

Open World RPG is what they've told so far, So I think we'll probably have multiple characters to play as with optional story archs changing, Similar to Avatar game Ubisoft made in 2009

I hope there are lots of towers to climb, and in doing so it reveals more of the map. That would be really cool.
And I hope it has three or four different mission types that are copied and pasted all over the map which artificially stretch out the playtime for hours and hours.

I would argue the only bad one they've made is Valhalla. That was still playable too. It was only bad because combat didn't feel fluid and got repetitive, and they went backwards from Odyssey

There actually has been an “open world” Star Wars game before. Back for the original PS, Star Wars Ep.1 was an open world game. This game allowed you to go anywhere & the games outcome was based on what you did in the world. You should check it out.

They should have it to where eventually if you chose the Jedi path you can customize a clone squad that goes with you and if you where a sith a droid squad that runs with you that’ll be cool

On MS-DOS, so I'm old enough to remember that we had a star wars open-world game before. It was called Star Wars Galaxies.
I hope we could choose class and race, such as becoming a bounty hunter, Jedi, sith, Criminal bandit, joining the Empire.
But my main question , is it going to take place in the clone wars or the Galactic Civil war ? Or we could choose to play those eras ?

Well this wont be an MMO game like Star Wars Galaxies that was a sandbox MMO and not considered open world by definition. The game sadly was more open world than the newer star wars MMO (SWTOR) for sure. It should be something closer to Fallout or skyrim, or RDR2, zelda breath of the wild or Horizon. More of a single player game probably not as complex as starfield coming up.

I think the creators of no man's sky should create a star wars game. The world doesn't need to be as huge as NMS having infinite planets, but should definitely include all the planets mentioned in star wars or at least have alot of them that is relevant to the story.
You should have the ability to upgrade and pilot your ship from planet to planet, while getting into actual space battles as well as the risk of having your ship invading while flying where you need to defend it from inside the ship. You can also dock and raid an enemy's ship for supplies.
There can be space stations where you can refuel and buy ammo or gear along the way to the next planet, as well as abandoned space stations with a horror type element where you have to clear out certain types of scary looking enemies.
Once cleared, it can be used as a save point and people you save from other planets can be transported there...I dunno, I'm brainstorming. The world mechanics are there, they just need to work on the gameplay and story. It will be 3rd person, but shooting a blaster will be in first like the resident evil remakes!
But one of the most important things to implement would be an event that took place every 6 months maybe, and it would be a light side vs the dark side, maybe a war that goes on for 2 days on the weekend, that could determine who would be controlling the galaxy….
Ok so you're NOT talking about Jedi: Survivor right? Because we've seen trailers and gameplay (a little) already for that game. I hadn't heard of any new open world Star Wars games other than Jedi: Survivor being released though, so.....I'm a bit confused.
