Is 30/30 like a 475 which is a Hp cam or torque cam?

Very nice bike!!! I did a cam install in January on my 2017 Ultra Limited 107ci M8. Wood 22XE, Wood lifters, S E 55mm aluminum intake manifold , SE Ventilator Plus air cleaner, and S&S Sidewinder 2/1 exhaust. 113hp, 118 ft lbs . It's interesting to see how all the different cams perform. Great video. Thanks for sharing this, and again, GREAT BIKE!!!
I had the same set up as you…dyno tuned it made 101/128…I’m going full 2:1 D&d, ported s&s mani, woods cam and tman intake. Can’t wait to see the new numbers

The Bike is SWEET !!!! Thank you for showing it. Not bad numbers at all. I bet that's a very dependable motor even with the upgrade. You want something to ride and have fun with, not something you have to always be fixing.
I remember doing those mids in my garage last year with our tuning issues 😂😂 that 30/30 cam changes any bike

I also have a reef blue 2022 road glide. Bassani 2-1 mid length, zippers 468 cam, Arlen ness big sucker. 110 hp and 119 ft/lbs. I love it. Also got the budget tbar set up. Drag specialties 8.5 pull back risers with thrashins mid bend bar. I had the La choppers cage fighters originally so I could still see my gauges but lost all view of my infotainment. So I swapped to the pull back risers and blocked the gauges instead since the infotainment has its own speedo. Until I spring for the gauge relocation.
Those don’t seem like mids, just a peg swap where the floorboards were. Idk. I’m no mechanic.
Curious how the Star Racing 30/30 Cam performs in the longer stroke (4.500") 114 and 117 M8 engines? Stock OE engines static compression ratios are 10.0:1 (107), 10.5:1 (114), and 10.2:1 (117). I would imagine that the higher compression of the stock long stroke engines (specially a 114 with 10.5:1 c.r.) would yield much more power & torque with this cam. I'd bet that a 107 with the HD-SE 107-to-119 Stage-3 Kit that in addition to the +12 cubic inches has 11.0:1 static c.r. It would haul the oats for sure! And of course, the 114/117-to-122 Stage Kit would yield even more.
Recently researched the Zipper's Sleeper Kits [107-to-124 and 114/117-to-128 Kits, Stage-3] have monster torque (150+ at the wheel, with around 132hp) with the Redshift 468 Cam; more with the Redshift 472 cam. Their Stage-4 Muscle Kits have even more.
I have about 500 miles on my 22 RGS with the 114- MHP 485 (basically same cam) with MHP mufflers, KW free flowing header and 55mm intake running 132 tq 121 hp. Smooth and quick from 2,500-4,800 rpm's
Check out George Bryce he to bikes now with 30/30 cans, I asked him the numbers on 117 engine 120 hp and 140 tq
@@williamrose8944 Hello. Those are nice numbers (120hp / 140tq) on a 117 that can be an everyday, go anywhere HD touring bike. Curious what bike (touring or softail), what intake (air cleaner/intake manifold/injectors); exhaust system; & Tuner those numbers were for? Or, stock bike with just the cam (& maybe slip-on's & high flow a/c?).
Tom Miller i have 2019 107 streetglide i bumped it to 117 with Cycle Rama 480 cam 55mm intake 5.5 injectors V&H power duals exhaust titan 450 mufflers the thing put out 135 HP 147TQ on dyno here in Australia
Nice. That cam is really solid. And for 2 into 1. The thunderheader is performing really well. Of course D&D, and it seems like kromewerks has had good results as well. Imo go with full length it’s far superior for all around tq and hp.

definitely not mids. Looks like the harley pegs mod I put on my softail. Harley makes the mod parts for softail and baggers. I like mine much better than the stock floorboards

I'm going with a trask assult ventilator and basani road rage 2-1 exhaust. I really want that potato potato sound but deep thinking a s&s 475 cam chest??

For a 107 , S&S 475 or the 3030?
Neither, but the 3030 is still better. However on a 107 better a cam less performance pushed, look at an rs 468, or a s&s 465, a fueling 465. Even a SE power cam 462 would be good on a 107. Just preferences.

Funny I re-watched this video after the weekend of doing a 1K in a day and heading back west afterward across an empty 80W sunday morning at higher speeds than the average citizen would approve of and thinking to myself "I don't think it would hurt for my 107 to have a little more power..."
But i digress, last Friday afternoon i was finishing my 1K in a Day and my goal was to get my final gas receipt at the gas station beside the best tool store in the universe in Totowa New Jersey (New Jersey Discount tools) and the whole trip the GPS kept saying "we found a shorter route" and kept messing with my numbers so i realized I was going to be about ten miles short of my goal i googled a couple destinations that would give me the extra mileage and "Torque motorcycle shop" was the perfect mileage addition so i did a quick drive by, i was going to stop and get a shirt but id already screwed up my time by falling asleep at a rest area, get caught in endless road construction all over the midwest and hung around one gas stop to listen to a very high barefoot chick argue with the cops that it was her constitutional right to be barefoot in the gas station she got thrown out of.
Next time. Googling this cam though.

Wicked cams that's for sure but if you're planning on doing a 3030 with stock valve springs, pushrods and rocker arm I'd suggest against it. Anything above a 475 lift should be done with all the extra strength in hardware. Just my opinion anyway. Always hear about guys putting 485's or bigger in their m8s with stock or adjustable pushrods and it never ends well

Bike is a 107 dude …. Compared to the stock numbers the bike comes with this is pretty good

My old high mileage 103 with cam, pipe and cleaner (tuned) made 117 on torque. That’s why I’m saying the numbers are very low for a m8 with that cam
This bike increased by over 30ft lbs of torque from the stock base run almost 20 horsepower. I’ll take that from a bolt in cam.
DO NOT go with D&D. Their quality has gone downhill so badly since the pandemic and they don't stand behind their products. I went with the Bassani Road Rage 3 full length and I get it back any day now. The khrome werks pipe is wonderful as well with a lifetime warranty. Unfortunately Bassani and Khrome Werks came out with black chrome 2-1 pipes like a week after ordering mine. Im putting in star f35 cam, bassani 2-1, HPI 62mm TB&M, 5.3 injectors, and trask air cleaner. Hoping for 127hp atleast.

I think this just goes to show how the special just isn't worth the money especially if you're building a performance bagger. Hands down the Bassani pipe is the best pound for pound quality, price, and performance. HPI is great but its almost 2k, thunderheader is the same price but the bracket is garbage (sounds amazing though), TBR is great if you're on a budget but the welding is sub par, and all the rest are just copies of other pipes. My only criticism of Bassani pipes are that the new "superbike" pipe just looks like they copied the HPI. I have never ridden a bike with a D&D so cant really comment on them but I like what I see.
How do you think that cam compares to the S&S 475c?
Depends on the bike, 475 on a softail all day, for a bagger 107 or 114 the 30/30 cam

Numbers are for bankers …a lot of these high number bikes being done by famous tuners are getting rebuilt motors here from blowing up.. I’ll take a smooth power band over inflated peak #s all day
I did the Star 30/30 with a S/S 55mm aluminium intake, Arlen Ness Big Sucker, modified stock pipe with tab4.5 mufflers/ 2.5 baffles 2 into 2 got 117 hp & 119 tq , I almost went with the s/s 475
That sounds about right for a 117..I’m doing mine next week so we’ll see. I’m doing the star .572 ..expecting more hp and slightly less torque. I want that highway power 😂

2:1 pipe HPI, but bassani works for me. Solid numbers and the but dyno is what counts. “Does not give up….”, “ will pull to the rev limiter” proven!!!!

People don’t understand you can create whatever numbers you want on the dyno lol. I can get another 10hp by running lean af. Do I want that as a daily cruiser ? I want my power but also don’t need to blow up my motor just because …some dudes egos show with their “high dyno #s” but don’t tell their subscribers their motor blew twice 😂😂
If I overinflated the tires and slide the bike slightly forward on the roller I can increase numbers sometime by 10 points. This bike has an honest dyno with a perfect 13.5 A/F front the start of the pull to the end.
