Love the fairing John.. matches perfectly.. love the cam comparisons I really think if you try some more cam comparisons the redshift 468, max cell 818or 821 is an awesome cam for torque and star racing 30-30 cam is a must… keep up the great content John and Dave
Excellent video; thanks John. That S&S 475 Cam really shines in the 114 M8 engine, darn good all around cam; adding bit more compression to the 114 cu. in. displacement (example: from stock 10.5:1 to 11.0:1) would no doubt pump up the power some more. It would be very interesting to compare the S&S 475 to the Redshift 472, and super fascinating to then compare to the new 485 cam designed by Moonshine Harley (uses stock HD springs, and has very unique timing). I also believe that Moonshine Harley also has a 492 cam they designed, not much info right now. 2 days ago, I received my S&S 465c Cam Chest Kit (complete kit; Oil Pump, Cam Plate, Lifters, Lifter Cuffs, S&S Pushrods, etc.). I originally was leaning towards the S&S 475 cam but decided on the S&S 465 cam to get the Torque hit coming on strong down low (1850-1900 rpm-ish) and carrying out flat in the "normal" riding range for 2-up on a Road Glide (basically 2000-4000 rpm). Wonder how that 475 cam would be in my other HD ('22FXLRS 117)? Tom M.
Both of my M8s are 107s and went 2 routes but got great numbers. 2018 Heritage, 33" fishtails, SE cleaner, SE pushrodss, 447 cam with SE tuner and autotune...100hp and 117fp. 2017 SGS, Tormentor header and 4" Rinehart, Reaper 465 cam, SE cleaner, s&s lifters, pushrods and oilpump, PV tuner..108hp and 126fptq. Both run like Champs, and I'll be retuning the heritage with PV this summer. (Warranty is up in July) Great vid man, scoot looks damn good.
I’d question those numbers on the 107 with the 447 cam. That’s significantly more output than Fuel Moto gets out of a similar setup, tuned with a PV and did I mention it’s on a 114”. You’re not getting 126 with that SE setup.
Me too, looked at alot of cams and the red shift 468 is the one I have the most interest in, dyno numbers I have seen look good on a 114, had what I want for how I ride and would sound amazing with my Tab Zombies!
I have the 472 with s&s grand nationals fuel moto head pipe and air cleaner. Still have to dyno it but running the power vision. Zippers makes great cams and want to see it vs a 475 in the same bike etc.

I really can't decide on what cam to get but this video definitely pointed me in the right direction So thank you
Hey John! She looks AMAZING!!! My only question is this….. when are you putting on Legend suspension? I’d really like to see a video of you guys installing it!! Love everything about the bike!! Great video as always!!
I like it . I wonder what some kind of pin striping/ air brush would look starting on the front & side panels of the front fairing...and finished flowing on the top edges and backlip of rear fender. .something subtle that matches the flow of the tank emblem...maybe Harley could send out one of the 2022 CVO painters to do it
I’m impatiently waiting for someone with a 2020 117 to do some testing on it. It’s supposed to have almost a stage 2 torque cam and better intake. I’d love to know what can be done to improve it without wasting the goodies.
My wife has the same bike just black and orange lowered an inch from back with a full black tin sit on the front forks eliminating the accordions it looks sick
Loving the vids! Hey idea for video, use it or not, what would be recommendations on building a used bike like mine with 70k miles on it? How many does your buddy build with higher miles on them. I don't see this addressed at all.
Hi John love your eye with the color on the bike , and the last choice on Cam that works for me on the bike all most 120 HP and 131 Tourque I think those are great numbers for that cam and exhaust
Bike looks great.. bars and risers are clutch. That 475 is impressive... that 2 into 1 has a big dip prior to 3krpm... I think the stock exhaust with slip ons is better than the 2 into 1.
love the thrashing set up! I have a 2020 low rider s with a thrashing riser / bar as well - but I'm also mulling over a proper cam upgrade. S&S 475 may be the way to go.
Hey brother, that Blue Angel is really coming to life for you! S&S 475 was definitely the cam to go with, and I understand why you guys tried two others to give people options to consider. I would love to see the Red Shift 468 compared to the S&S 475… I believe they’d be super close, think the Red Shift gets you even a bit more torque early to mid, and HP close to the same. That would be a fun one to compare. Digging the blue fairing. Can’t wait to see this Christmas-Come-Early delivery at the door. That delivery had to put your delivery driver in traction!
Big John great video. Bike looks and sounds ridiculous. Great stuff for your subscribers who need a comparison on camshafts. Can’t ask for more. Looking forward to seeing more stuff on the Street Bob. Ride safe and burn rubber but not ur soul. Ha ✌️
John, Maybe I’ve missed it in your videos, but what tuner do you and Dave use?????? Also have you or Dave ever tried the screaming eagle cams or does Dave go straight to aftermarket?
I'm looking at Cams for my 114 Fat Boy that gives me the best acceleration from a rolling start. I want to keep the stock headers, and use slip on pipes with thundertorque inserts, or I'll swap to SE Street Cannon pipes. I also want to stay with the 114 Air box with the SE K/N Filter. I have a PowerVision as well. I want a cam where I can be cruising on the freeway at 65~70mph and I wanna pass some joker or go for a high speed run against a sportbike or something like that, and twist that throttle and feel that bike climb as fast as possible to 145mph. I don't care about peak torque, I dont care about peak HP, I don't care about sound. I wanna fee that bike rocket like a monster to illegal highspeeds. Right now I'm looking the CR480 Cam, or the Star Racing 30/30. I'm 128lb rider. Will be installing an SE 2021 Oil pump system, and will be willing to buy the TargetTune for my powervision as well. I'm really looking for that 2200 to 5500 RPM hard as possible pull.
@@dougboom6793 This is the cam I'm most interested in atm, and I do have a Powervision from Fuelmoto. Debating if I should get higher lift tolerant springs because the Star 30/30 is 485 lift.
@@FranBunnyFFXII I'm running stock springs with no issues. Per star it's the max lift before needing to upgrade springs. I've got 5k miles on it problem free
One comment on the sitting on the bike portion. I find that people that get professional tunes, want to see numbers and that’s it. The tuner’s weight is different than the customers so why not just get the numbers off the bike alone which is what it actually produces instead of adding random other variables that can change it. No need to sit on it I agree
Awesome video and very informative. Simply stunning looking Harley. I love your comments to the trolls " well no shit" I'm still laughing about that. You are so right about that, keep these videos rocking.
@@CYCLEFANATIX I understand but it pulls different and every one has a ss 475 it’s nice to be different dont get me wrong those are great numbers ss is a great cam
