God, those delays are gorgeous. The drives don't sound too bad on your demo, either. Great work.
I think the distortions sound pretty good.
@@tacomadc I think they sound really good if you dial them in a bit with an EQ. The hate that M13 drives get is a mystery to me. Maybe a lot of people didn't keep on top of the updates, but I updated as soon as I got mine and everything sounds really good to my ears.
basicly, you can have 48!! pedalboards set up with the new update, dude, the update is amazing, demo it for the people here!
I still want one.. even in 2024
I'm so looking forward to get this!
Wish we had a good music store near where I live. They are a bit thin on the ground in Cheshire where I live. Soon as you go in they want your money and out of the store again. Was thinking of buying one of these but would like to try it out first before handing over my cash. Will have to wait a while I guess. Nice video many thanks. Would love to have a play in your store for an hour or so!
You use some amazing chords and I love your playing style, its not your basic 'showing a guitar' sort of music :) It really sounds great!
love your tones bro!
Hitting us with the Holdsworth swells
We filmed this using a Canon 500D with a Tamron 17-50 f2.8 lens. The audio was recorded on a Zoom H2 placed halfway between Dan and the guitar amp.
Great demo mate. Is it possible mix effects for example an overdrive+delay+phaser etc and assign that combination to a single switch/bank to avoid the old tap dancing routine?
2020 now, you think this is still worth getting?
Yes I think so. Great effects and easy to use.
100%
The foot switches look the same as the HD500 that Ive had I think 8 or 9 years now and they are starting to give out. You have to push them so many times to get them to work from overuse. Im now looking to upgrade...this looks ok but no expression pedal and same swwitches. The sound these line 6 devices produce are amazing though.
I just picked up one of these and have to say I'm pretty disappointed in it even at the $100 I got it for. It's meant to be a "stompbox modeler" and it has all those foot switches so it looks like you have 12 stomp boxes on your board. But line6 made it so as you can only engage 4 effects at the same time. I get that that's fine for some people but why even make the M13 if it's basically as functional as the M9? I thought this might replace my pedalboard but I regularly engage 6 effects, so the M13 sucks for me.
@@Quetzalcoatl999 ya that would be a dealbreaker for you. You could also set it up this way...
The first 4 front switches change to a new patch, so you can have 4 effects in each 4 patches. Yes only 4 can still be engaged at a time. But one patch could be a "lead" patch with delays and such.
I just finally got an M13 after wanting one about this long ago because my guitarist in Holland had one and I always thought he got great sounds through his Koch combo amp and half-stack. Now I have to learn how to use it! May be a bit outdated now but still lots of possibilities, and I'm going to use it for vocal effects when recording too. Into my ADAT, lol, can you tell I like vintage gear?
@aenima187 No it can do almost the same, but the interface is much smaller, so it is much harder to change settings. Its a choice you have to make, the space, or the ergonomics.
AWESOME SKILLS MAN!!
NICE SHOES BY THE WAY BROTHA!!
Nice Sounds !!!
Guitar is turned on into the pedal box and through an amp? 🔥
Dude, Dan has got some nice riffs with those delays.
@Born2RiffRock GT-10 has amp models , the Line6 M13 is more designed for use with amps
I'm confused by how may scenes I can store on the M13. The manual states it has 12 scenes, but the website says 48?
"A scene is a pedal board arrangement on your M13 Stompbox Modeler. You can create and save up to 48 different scenes. Create one for your metal band, one for your punk band, one for your Top 40 gig…you get the picture. No more tearing up Velcro® just to change one or two pedals."
Or am I totally missing something here?
Hi!! wich is the right direction of the signal of the preset? from 1 to 4?
They are good. The reason I don't say great is because the best thing about this pedal is by far the DL4 settings (delay) and the reverbs are also top notch. I owned one for a week but I took it back because the overdrives aren't quite there yet, they are good at best. They don't compare to any of my analog overdrive pedals even the cheap behringers. Through a tube amp they sound better (I tested it in 4 amps). Good for gigs but a bit fiddly. The synth mods are good too.
I'm a really hands on fx nut, does this multi-fx unit allow the user to blend together numerous changes of a single effect? Or does it only allow an effect to be used once in a scene?
Nice Demo my man... I have a lot of pedals, and although I will never sell them, as they mean to much to me, it would be handy to have a bit of kit like this for home use, I can still take my pedal board to gigs, but I need something like this for the house, as rigging my pedal board up to my Vintage Vibrochamp is pointless, as you need to give it a fair bit of volume to compensate for the loss of volume cause by many in the chain, something like this may be the answer to my prays, and it's cool
Does the M13 have a 4 cable method of routing some things in front of your amps pream, and then some in the amps fx loop, similar to how you can do with the Boss GT series?
Do those shoes come with the unit mate? If so, I'll take it!
10 years later and I nearly spat my coffee out reading that !!!!!!
Emmanuel Goldstein those shoes are probably in landfill by now. P.S. The last 10 years has been hell waiting for your reply!
@@pepachet The fact you replied 10 years later awesome. Hope lifes been good for you this decade
Thinking about getting something like this for in-doors, not sure I would use it for a gig, as I love my pedals to much for that to happen LoL, My tube screamer goes no-wear without me ha
M5: one of the 144 at a time, M9: three at a time. M13: four at a time
What does the M13 offer that the Boss GT-10 does not or vice versa. Both seem to be amazing effects. What is everyone's opinion on the two. Thanks
could you use the stomp modeler with any amp?
2:21 name of that effect? pls answer..that sounds so awesome
auto-volume echo
Is it portable for bass guitar???
What amp are you running into? Are you running all effects straight into the front of the amp??
he looks like that patoshik guy from prision break! lol
Great sounds out of that M13, good work!
dan was playing the M13 straight into a Fender Bassman combo.
I dont understand why i get no sound from my amp..im plugged in From my guitar to( L mono:input )and then (L mono:output to my amp...WTF IM SO FUCKIN FRUSTRATED..CAN YOU PLZ POSSIBLY HELP ME BRO THNX
Great job dan !
Hi.. can you also edit the speed of the delay in the m13?? thanks...
I love how the Aussies say Thirteen....Therdeen
I dont
So does less buttons mean less functions?, but presumably its a newer one and they wouldnt make the new one worse than its predecessor would they?
Could I hook this up straight to a PA system ? Where I play I can't really have an amp and my current set up isn't working well.
I did not
Yes it's also a preamp
haha, well yes. it does a bit doesn't it. we now have in stock the M9 which is is a bit more compact and less buttony.
Where did you get your shoes? I love them.
What kind of Camera did you use to flim this. It looks great!
@kylemuirr nope, not possible. comes with a power supply :DD
what was the one at 4 30?
0:37 what kind of shoes are those???
Are those the EHX B99T Shooz?
probably a stupid question but is it powered on batterys
No
what kind of amp are you playing through? it sounds amazing.
Hey! I've been using line 6 m13 for quiet sometime. Lately, few of the foot switches are not changing in real time. Could you please help me on this?
Joel Kothapally there's a dude and a site where they can be repaired and "modified" for around $135.
From all accounts, he's the "Guy" and it's a killer fix/upgrade for a stellar pedal.
Check 'em out www.jhv3.com/m-series-mods/
This should get you there and keep you happy!!!
Best
M
what the hell is so good about delay
how much money for this fx in 2017?

i also wanted to right something about shoes but i see its already has been done by a lot of people:)
so can you combine effects? and does it have wah?
Yes
Is that a es-336?
so? yes you can use a 2 sets of delay?
looks like a foot controller for a fancy sewing machine
"I dont even know what that is" HAHA.
Is there away to set the time between the echos in the delay effects??
why'd the clean sound is louder than the drive sound??? it's kinda funny you know...
ES339?
muito legal mesmo ...
@rockinitout2012 Wizard Slippers.
Why the background music? Much easier to hear you without it.
I just googled that, all it came up with was the wizard of oz slippers! you troll!
how do I set it to get the dotted 8 delay?
Tap Tempo it is the easiest way all the dotted eighth note is an eighth note plus a sixteenth note so it's really three sixteenth notes
what is the price...
ELF SLIPPERS!
Can't hear anything you are saying.
turn this f...in Backgroundmusic off!!
This guy is annoying to listen to,like a mosquito buzzing in your ear
