Marc Ford and the Black Crowes were a marriage made in heaven... His playing bought something to their music that other guitarists have not managed to do... His tone and execution is sublime... Southern Harmony and Amorica are two of my favourite albums... period. The musicianship on those records is out of this world
I could barely get through two minutes of this . . . before HAVING to jump out of my chair and do the Chris Robinson Mojo Sway Dance. Amazing, awesome, brilliant. Super thanks for the upload. Peace and Light,
Rich is incredible. I had seen the Crowes many times in the past but never this close and was VERY VERY impressed to be able to really see with my own eyes just how good he is!
Indeed. And Gorman puts on a clinic. A rhythm section extraordinaire. And Rich--Lord have mercy-- he starts the turn for home @12:35, and you hear several fans starting to whoop it up, and he gives the double nod acknowledgement @ 12:46--just a frickin awesome player--
Im a revovering alcholic and addict ,you never num are kill the pain are run from it.no human power can relieve the obsession but god can and will if Sault.the crowes my escape thank for the music.
After the shattering revelation of Southern Harmony? I waited for Tall... & kept waiting... when Amorica rolled in, it was worth it for this song alone.
Chris & Rich - you have to know how magical you sound together & if not, please watch some of these close harmony videos of ya'll - Family is everything, especially when you share such a heartfelt spirit & the love of music! Your expression of such is natural-born - can't fake that shit. My life was enriched by you & I want to Thank You. Life is so short - Die with no regrets.
Woooooowwwww…. Magical rendition!! And Steve Gorman makes them float with his big ears!! He is constantly truly listening and anticipating! What a band!!
Who the F~€K gives this a thumbs down?!? There is nothing “thumbs down “ about this!! This is a well written well played and performed song!! Hey 60 people go back to listening to Cardi B or Drake or whatever the hell you like better!!
Chris and Rich, you guys made some of the world's most amazing music together. Your band changed the world of rock and roll. Thank you for your contribution.
+ThEyOuRsApA lol...you thought noel and liam fight? watch the Crowe's Behind the Music. Rich and Chris's strife and fisticuffs were things of legend. Chris seems to have gone all Rock Star. Can u imagine him telling Steve he could hang around as a contacted drummer. Rich wrote a heartfelt open letter, sad sad sad.
Jackie Greene's tone is incredible. I saw him play with Gov't Mule at the Royal Oak music theater about 10 years ago and was amazed by both him and Warren Haynes .
jimmy page weir jackie greene the dickerson bros charlie starr ttb everyone knows how much talent and positive energy the crowes exude it is unreal after one of their shows i am walking on air for days the magic fresh in my mind please brothers make that magic your separate endeavors are fabulous but the crowe sound is unique and we need this beautimous sound to lighten our hearts
Their best song? A point be argued, but seeing the length and the word JAM in the thumbnail, no brainer of a click. Loved it, I've seen them do this live, wouldve loved to see 10 more minutes played on this theme.
Damn! Rich cuts the wah at 12:35, that note could level the building! I haven't felt inspired by longer jams for a while, but this takes the cake. BTW, this exact recording from the board is available on the Black Crowes website, well worth the buy.
Chris Robinson is probably the finest vocalist of his generation and up there with rock's greats. I've seen the Black Crowes in their pomp( fanfu*kintastic) and CRB this year, ( fu*kin amazing) both were incredible concerts. I missed Rich this year due to work which was a real shame but saw Luther in the Northern Mississippi Allstars (brilliant). I hope the Crowes come together in the near future for a world tour as they are an absolutely amazing band with an impecable musical taste. The ex-members are producing some of the best music out there but to deny the Crowes and their fans would be a real shame.
ParatodalavidaVideo Before I ever heard the Crowes, I was, and am, a Skynyrd and Allmans fan. Love my southern music. Turned 13 when Skynyrd’s plane crashed. Saw the Rossington-Collins bands last show and have seen the Allman Bros play multiple times in the Carolinas and Florida. Will never forget their shows. Well, the stories might get a little warped with time but I’ll remember most of it. I saw the Crowes in south Florida several years ago. I just love their sound. They rose to the top of my charts. I’ve seen alot of bands play, bluegrass (my first concert, the Seldom Scene) rock (Foghat my first rock concert), classical music at the Kennedy Center, marimba in Guatemala, ranchera in south Florida (Vicente Fernandez, an amazing man) and everything from Aerosmith to ZZ Top. Blackfoot twice at a theatre , whose name I can’t remember, in Baltimore that had amazing sound. I miss the Crowes. For me, they filled the void of the original Skynyrd that left when I was 13. Different sound but same southern charm. Ronnie, Allen and the boys who’ve left can’t jam together anymore, for now, but Chris and Rich can, and should. I want to hear me some new tunes from the old Crowes.
@@mauallen4234 I was about to be 4 yrs old when the plane crashed in my home state. Crazy I wound up dating a girl some 30 yrs later who was from Gilsburg and her Dad was one of the 1st responders. And not the EMS kind. He was the ol country man that heard the crash and jumped in his pickup to head to the scene. It was like 45 min to an hr before the trained paramedics found the crash sight. The 1st time I met him I had to ask and all he could really muster up was something like "we just went down there and started pulling people out and loading them up and driving to the hospital". It wasn't until much later that they found out it was Lynyrd Skynyrd... As far as the rest of your story it sounds like we share the same tastes. I've seen more live music than I can remember. CRB is a killer live show and especially in an intimate setting.. RIP Casal.. But here comes the BUT.. There will never be another Rossington, Allen Collins, Steve Gaines and Leon Wilkeson on the stage together sadly.. I can't even imagine what those shows were like in the 70's.. Thank God we have UA-cam to show us!!
Man - it is so funny how people can hear things and appreciate them so differently, yet I have been on both sides of such things so there you go. Thanks for checking it out anyway. I think they are on fire this tour
Can anyone explain why no-one makes music like this now and my children are fed a diet of 'RnB' ridiculous rubbish? The Crowes are a throwback to when the music REALLY mattered and this tune is just about my favourite.
Definitely my favorite thing they ever put together, just about gets me too. Such a beautiful progression of notes so well done. Love it to pieces☮️ God Bless 🙏
Unbelievable video, well done. I was at this show and Wiser was far and away the highlight. Thank you for posting so I can relive it over and over again..
definitely a bad ass jam!! I've seem them a few times and the black crowds are definitely one of the BEST live jam bands ever!! love them!! great vid quality too!! 👍 thanks!!
Saw them in N.O. two days ago with my lady. She totally hooked me up with a ticket that night. All of those dudes killed it! So awesome!!! Thank you baby.
Eric Slater William Wright died this morning from a massive heart attack it was 61 years old with heart failure cancer and diabetes his legs are black from the knees down bass beat I really miss my Uncle Bill Aura raise me from a child he was a kind man and a good person
I saw them last night in St. Augustine Fl.-and they did the best version of this song I've EVER heard...and we used to play it in my band-which tends to ruin it for me,getting that intimate with any song.....but wow....they played it SO well. so frsh ...with lots of twists and turns and surprises....best concert ive seen since.....the LAST Crowes tour...lol... i'd go see 'em again tonight-
Hope I'm wrong, but I heard they are on stage just barely over an hour with this current tour. 😢 How long did the Crowes perform when you saw them a few days ago? Genuinely curious!
Seen these guys a lot just over a decade ago. Put their songs down for a long while and picking it up again. I wish they were together. Can't the Robinson brothers just eat some mushrooms and get along??!! Life is too short.....
Loved hear/seeing Jackie Greene! And Rich Robinson...love his unpretentious style and the beautiful inlay he's got at that magical 12th fret. Peace through passion.
I've lost count how many times I keep coming back to this clip, thanks again man for posting. Still & Always one of THE greatest live acts there is, god bless the Crowes.
One of the true anthems of we latter Gen-X’ers whose coming of age years were the mid-90’s.......
💯👍
Agreed, but it isn’t a true anthem unless Marc Ford is playing along side Rich. They are our generations Keith Richards/Ron Woods.
A true anthem for this boomer.
Steve could replace Charlie in the stones
This. All day. This was our wedding song.
Best Crowes song ever gives my chills, harmony's are great.
"OH Sweet Nuttin" is pretty damn close.
Great song. Love the Crowes
I love it, a post 2000's crowd cheering a guitar solo, it's a rare and beautiful sound.
I need more people to talk about how cool and great Rich's playing is!
Indeed. Seems like after about 2010 or so Rich really started stretching his legs out with leads.
Oh sweet nuthin was killer 👍🤘
Rich's playing a laid back style coming directly from the soul
Bring back Marc Ford!
He's Tight !
I swear to God...one of THE greatest songs EVER written...glory, just beyond our reach.
14 seconds till sunriiiiise

Amen bruv
agreed
Yep
Those 2 albums are my favourite of the 90’s
Chris Robinson's voice is like a fine wine and gets better with age. So much more soul in his voice compared to his younger days.
I haven't been near a place of worship in years...After seeing this video, I feel like I just went to church. The Crowes were flyin' that night...
preach, brother, preach
I could barely get through two minutes of this . . . before HAVING to jump out of my chair and do the Chris Robinson Mojo Sway Dance. Amazing, awesome, brilliant. Super thanks for the upload. Peace and Light,
Chris' smile says it all. Awesome.
Rich is incredible. I had seen the Crowes many times in the past but never this close and was VERY VERY impressed to be able to really see with my own eyes just how good he is!
I’ve seen this song played in concert countless times over the years but damn this one brought me the good feels right when I needed it.
This and "Soul Singing" are genius jams live. They make me want to grow my hair out and tour the west coast in a VW van.
Let’s do it!!
Amen brother

Rich Robinson is the most underrated guitarist of all time. He and Mark Ford were the most underrated duo of all time.
Have you checked out Oh Sweet Nothing? - Velvet Underground cover. It's magical. Luther Dickinson murders it multiple times.
Have to agree this is just magical.
Rich is a guitar god
@@oldchickwouldnt go that far but he's damn good
🎉
This is probably my favorite Black Crowes song ever. I wonder how many times I've listened to it....? Whoa. Kids, don't do drugs.
right no one wants to say it but please.. he looks so very old.. and hes not folks.
Roxxane D'troyt It might be cause of the beard

Oh. That summer of 95...
Wiser time . Good God I LOVE this song
All these years and I still crying when I see this. I wouldn’t be able to play this without crying, this is a fact. This is AMAZING!
I've listened to this over twenty times so far. I just keep going.
After the shattering revelation of Southern Harmony? I waited for Tall... & kept waiting... when Amorica rolled in, it was worth it for this song alone.
This song transports me back to 95 every time I hear it! Was a great year.
SUCH A GREAT SONG..!
so under appreciated for what they offer this day and age of music.

I don't know how I stumbled onto this, but my face melted off at 13 min. Un-real.
One of the best jams! Been coming back here since this vid was posted
Sweet. When Chris comes in at the end, he belts it. And his words seem to take on a new meaning.
BLACK CROWES PLEASE COME BACK!

Superb performance and recording. It truly sounds like being right there is the crowd.
That was spiritual. Thank you.
Absolutely love Rich’s guitar. It’s a beautiful piece of artwork
from Marietta GA.... this is how we do it down here! LOVE these guys, going back to Mr. Crowes Garden
Raw talent! Rock n roll at its best! The Robinsons are so underrated! This group together is rock magic! Can jam on this over and over…🎸

Most bands have a song that ‘gets me’. This is it with The Black Crowes.
