The Black Crowes are a band that won’t be truly appreciated until they are gone. Then everyone will say, “those were the days. That was real rock n. roll” They should be a first ballad rock n roll hall of fame band
The studio Albums were terrific as well . Last Vinyl I ever bought Amorica white vinyl in 96 . A truly shamanic band . Plus that deep South Americana mystic as well !
I appreciate your enthusiam for this Genuine Rock band. But they are not the first. Not by a long shot! You REALLY need to listen to some old rock from around 1968 - 1979. The BC's have a true appreciation of Genuine, REAL ROCK and do it so well!! The Black Crowes are a nod to the roots of rock & roll. Not everyone can do it because it requires TALENT and practiced SKILLS! Which the Techno, computer, glitz, sex, pop charades calling themselves "music" nowadays have faked their way through. It's even disintegrated the Country Music genre. **Go have a listen to old Led Zep, Iron Butterfly, Chicago (early stuff), Pot Liquor, Humble Pie, Bad Company, Allman Brothers Band, Santana, Steve Miller band, Robin Trower < esp. this one! I strongly urge you to give a good listen to Chicago's 1969 Album, and particularly the song "Poem 58". This is stuff that the Crowes are channeling, and it is pure rock heaven!** When I first heard the Black Crowes in the 1990's it was on my car radio. The best band I've ever seen live. Between 92 and 95 they were untouchable. Saw them supporting The Stones in 95 at Wembley Stadium and they blew them away. In another era, they would have been appreciated more. Absolutely sublime!
I saw them twice in 91 and again in 95, by 95 they'd gone too druggy, long extended jams which were not crowd pleasing. They were mind blowing live in the early days and they were appreciated but they were their own worst enemies. Great band, lousy guys.
This is one of my favorite songs by black crowes , and this was one of there best performances in my opinion, everybody done stellar, from keyboards to both guitars, sound effects, and of course tha soulful vocals ...good vibes !!

Absolutely tragic how they ended it. They were headed into rock and roll history as one of the greats. The way Chris ended it was heartbreaking. No less than 20 shows starting with the high as the moon tour (still got the shirt) front row. So sad
@@michaelgreene4816 its just the Robinson brothers and the bassist they hired in the late 90s. i love this new incarnation and am glad they're back together but this ain't the glory days of the band
The talent of this band, both lyrically and musical excellence has had me a fan since CD's first were offered back in the eighties. I know that because I bought the first three albums and listened to them tirelessly and have recently been re-investigating them. I went to a local concert in 2001, at a Woodstock like concert called "Livestock" answers they were one of 40+ bands there. Alice in Chains vocalist Layne Staley was supposed to be there but was found deceased that April weekend. The main group I was there was to see The Black Crowes and after the way Chris Robinson treated the audience was so rude I didn't pick up those CDs for a decade. People have their moods, understood. I waited 16 yrs to see them and it was a let down The band never had a chance, after Chris 's tantrum, sad to say..but I LOVE THE MUSIC.
These fantastic musicians play so they were an enormous influence on my playing style when I first bought their CD and did covers of their songs slot because I liked them but also because of request from people in the audience
I never appreciated this band until I saw them on the Furthur tour. It was this song that really drew me in. I’m not a super fan, but damn, they could really play.

I have seen this band since they put out their second album and have always left saying “Now that’s how a rock & roll show should be! They really give you your money’s worth. Even though they have had some changes & hard times they seem to put it back together and come out with a great show or album!
+Mike Stocknoff Greene's solo was definitely mountain jam to a T. The whole intro was a very psychedelic take on it, but Greene's solo was quite distinguishable.
Truly the last time the Crowes were great...and authentic. The Lay Down with #13 World Tour. Marc Ford, Luther Dickinson, and...Jackie Greene. God bless Steve Gorman.
Yeah, I experimented with delay and reverb back in college….hell, I experimented with a lot of things! these guys did it better with their intro. rock and roll baby!

He did a bunch of session work during his break from the Crowes in the early 2000s, even some stuff with Slash that was early VR stuff. I could go on but the point is you’re right about him being incredibly underrated.
He's ok and great on a lot of stuff but I think he just falls short for the BC. Seen em a couple with Greene and there were some serious school boy errors but that said the Crowes are obviously happy with him so good luck to em. Rich has really started to shine out and some of the jams have been epic. Still one of my favourites.

Some rich hippie rockers need to start their own Rock HOF, the one in Cleveland is 50% bogus.
The Crowes will be one of those bands you will listen to 30 yrs from now, the full hippie vibe with the southern rock kick. Never gets old..
Why the f**k would you guys dismantle this band??? You are the most organic band around... The world needs more of you!

It was about paying the drummer.
Chris was an ass
Read Gorman's book. It's all there. Basically, Chris is a giant ahole.

By far my favorite Black Crowes song 🎵
Incredible jam!
Marriages and rock bands. Very hard to “maintain.”

You lucky duck.
this is the jam band of these days.lots of blues and great music.Chris voice is smooth and easy.keep it up brothers of the blues and jam bands.
when Jackie's eyes roll back in his head, all hell breaks loose
Saw them open for the dead in the 90’s. They blew the dead away… and I’m a dead head. Greatest band ever.
Great Jam! This is how it is done. These guys are timeless, their music always takes you places. A very soulful band.
Rich Robinson...if not one the best, certainly THE classiest guitarist ever.
Real rockstars, yes please

Brothers!! 👍👍☮️☮️
Jacky Greene's China Cat tease was great
Most underrated band ever
Agree looking back they fully kicked @ss. Great Musical Band!!! Love the Southern rock style with the touch of the Grateful Dead.
I don't think they were ever underated. They just quit too early ..
Aerosmith should be honored
Even on a bad day I would rather listen to this.
Keep coming back to this one! An amazing version of a great tune:) enjoy
i swear...i am going to show the world the power of music...
I love this Crowes lineup.
I don’t remember what year I was at the vibes but I sure do miss it.
I just miss concerts & live events without masks & social distancing... when life was normal... sigh...
Thank you...April 9, 2020...Needed this today...

Around 17:30 it sounds like the legendary Rory Gallagher!
Saw him 76 at Jack Murphy Stadium. Smokin"!

SOUNDS LIKE FKN PURE ROCKN COSMIC ROLL BABY....LOVES IT :)''''''
6:42 - they just roll into wiser...sooo good
Eddie still the best keyboard in the black crowes.
I like screaming guitars with a cool rhythm section. Could have done that jam for another hour
sweet corporate oriental rugs!
There's only a few bands that can make me sit on my ass for 20 minutes or more watching a one good fucking song from 'em. And this one is one of ' em!

perfect song
How was your day today listening to the sounds of the crows
Rich may have the most eclectic collection of unusual guitars
The Abalone guitar is crazy
what a band...
I want the guitar...😮🎼😉(but seriously...) Soo much talent here🎼...

Jackie Greene with the Robinson Brothers, Helloooo!
Jackie Greene solo! Wow, got a little Frampton tone in there...
Rich = GUITAR GOD= musical genius
True that
5:59 Jackie plays dueling banjos and smiles at bandmates.
Fantastic! well done for noticing!
Too silly for me. Made me go "yuck". I'm sure Rich thought it was super cool, look at his face afterwards, haha.

He wasn't bad. But did you catch the "Dueling Banjos" moment? Not cool, Greene.
Who was the guy that did cabin fever with them?? I liked him to,, great show cabin fever..
sorry but this guy is not good enough to be in The Crowes. Weak solo
I dunno, he lost the vibe of the song and went a bit too Judas Priest here. Marc Ford for me, Luther was good too.
The Cabin Fever guy was Luther Dickinson. Mississippi All Stars later on.
