This was the best lineup The Black Crowes ever had... I can listen to the entirety of Southern Harmony and musical companion all day, not a bad song on that album.
I don't know how to describe it, but this band live is a unique thing. It's like the song exists apart from them and they're going along for the ride. To be able to create, produce and perform a song like this... I can't imagine it. Music is an amazing thing.
One element to it, i believe, is that you can't quite put your finger on it. Gives is some mystery or something, then you are on another plane. This song does that, so it takes you there...wherever that is...
Fuckin Marc Ford is so much the shit man...He was so responsible for their brilliant sound back then. They just never captured it the same way since those days....this was just pure magic. They really need to get him back in the studio again!
If anyone is underrated it’s fucking Rich Robinson. Dude is mainly a rhythm player but man he can play. Some of the best riffs ever in rock we’re written by that man. This really shows off his lead skills.
" Kiss me baby on an Easter Sunday day , and make my worries go away " Man were they in total sync or what? I liked when they had Chris Trujillo on percussion ( from the group TOTO session player ). Thank you !
Is the the tour for Souther Harmony & Musical Companion? They should've brought the background singing ladies out with them. I miss their sound in this tune. Thats my fav Black Crowes album.
Get The Black Crowes back to Glastonbury as quick as possible Damn they would blow every fucking band off the stage Gutted I wasn't there for this 🤠🤓🖤🖤
I was there that year,The Stone Roses were supposed to headline the main stage but John Squires fell off his bike and broke his collarbone,Pulp were a late replacement. The Crowes however were consistently fucking brilliant as they always are, completely lose my shit to this song every time i hear it.
i just gotta say, yeah, Marc Ford is the shit and the best of the Crowes was with him, many would say. but sheeit, when i see Eddie Harsch, i think wow, what a weird motherfucker, and i think fuck yes, THIS is the Crowes!! and to hear some of that soulful keys (Descending!), you know that band was deep!
One of the few times Criss's voice may have been strained. He obviously dropped the Octive to a pitch that fit into that zone.... Definitely Worked !! Here It Is Late 2023 And STILL AMAZED ! Fuckin Loved These Guys !!!❤😅
They were sidestage (at least Noel was) and followed, the Crowes probably concerned they couldn't follow well. Same thing with Pink Pop '93. Word was Kravitz and the band were sweating bullets realizing they weren't going to be as good.
sometime they'll give a war and nobody will come, because everyone likes to listen to music and love peace and animals Mother's Friendship 5 X 5 Mother's Friendship 5 5 5 5 5 Fran Records Costa Rica, USA and Germany
I was living in London at this time, and remember very clearly the slagging these guys got in the reviews for this. They were being unfavourably compared to the band that cam on after them - Oasis - so the review said the Crowes jammed too much and were boring. Looking at this video you have to say what a load of shit! Plus I saw them supporting the Stones at Wembley around this time. Everyone around me was criticizing them whole time they played. Those were strange times in the UK..spice girls!
Luther repeats his solo's methodically in time and never misses a beat except for soul. Speed can kill (a song ) Marc is so underrated and helped to put this band on the map. Listen now with Magpie Salute or his band The Neptune Club. He makes everyone around him better. I love Luther but the note you don't hear is the space that makes the solo
Too bad about Marc. I heard from an inside source that his playing began to suffer to the point they had to turn his cabinet mics off at times. Playing on heroin 'FEELS" great but the reality is you're so far gone that you don't realize how badly you're playing. Heard he's cleaned up now. Wish he hadn't had the problem to begin with. Luther is a great player as was Audley Freed. Each new member they had come on board brought a freshness to the sound. I miss Marc's playing too.
Luther was the perfect guy for the later era, the way the band's sound and songs evolved. He's a badass. The MFF Crowes are undefeated, though. There's a reason the best TBC records are the ones Marc plays on - not to mention the giant pile of incredible unreleased material he's on.
Extremely hard to put into words, isn't it Chuck? Cosmic experience
Well put. Best live band ever
One element to it, i believe, is that you can't quite put your finger on it. Gives is some mystery or something, then you are on another plane. This song does that, so it takes you there...wherever that is...
The mystery lies somewhere within those Les Paul's.
I Love U Pete 🦶 🦶
The Black Crowes, highly regarded yet still underappreciated.
Wow Marc - he was kissed by heaven - his playing is otherworldly
Marc Ford made this band special
Fuckin Marc Ford is so much the shit man...He was so responsible for their brilliant sound back then. They just never captured it the same way since those days....this was just pure magic. They really need to get him back in the studio again!
Marc Ford era.. the best years of TBC.. Eddie Harsch RIP
1057 views? best morning song on youtube. I truly feel sorry for people who don't experiance the sounds a great band can make.
Agreed man
Best morning song Koln November 1992
Jack White may have taken some inspiration from this song. Can’t blame him if he did…
2022 here and watching again ⚘
I remember this like yesterday.
They came on before Oasis. Blew them manc twats clean off the stage.😉🤘😎😎
This line up was the best. They oozed cool from every groove.
If anyone is underrated it’s fucking Rich Robinson. Dude is mainly a rhythm player but man he can play. Some of the best riffs ever in rock we’re written by that man. This really shows off his lead skills.
RiffMaster-In-Chief. Plus he will def catch you by surprise with a solo from time to time
He's not a lead player. He's a rhythm player like Keith Richards. He can play a lead here or there, sure.
This band is the last of the greats...they were good looking ..still are bring back Marc Ford n Jeff and Johnny Colt.n drummer Steve,,,RIP ED
Correct. The slide line on this track is something very few people on this planet could have written. Soul, harmony and power.
Yes, it was REALLY that good in '95 - pure magic - pure Crowes.
The whole crew is putting in mad work you can hear it hands down
there is not words to describe this
awesome comes to mind
first class baby!
A tepid version...you can tell the energy isn't there, and where the band was heading...and it's freakin' Glastonbury. Bummer.
Marc & Rich's flow is like magic. 😎
So insanely special and underappreciated. A top 5 all-time guitar duo
I was there! Fantastic concert and agree - get Marc Ford - they've been missing him ever since
Doesn't get much better than this.
Look at old Ed on the keyboards rocking out I love it man ✌️
I love the black crowes....I don't smoke anymore but when I listen to these guys I feel stoned..Its great thank you guys.
You can't go wrong with the Crowes. Class in every way.
Last great rock band straight up
My favorite crowes line-up
They need to forgive one another ..great talent and love between them all...Jeff needs to come back .this is the best line up no doubt about it
Keep coming back to this. Magnificent! What a great weekend this was.
I would pay good money to have this entire show in HD audio quality
What a performance, total class. Thanks for sharing this.

" Kiss me baby on an Easter Sunday day , and make my worries go away "
Man were they in total sync or what? I liked when they had Chris Trujillo on percussion ( from the group TOTO session player ). Thank you !
April 93 in Worcester.. mesmerizing show
I saw them headline the HORDE Festival that Summer. Awesome show. I miss that lineup with Marc, Eddie and Johnny. Those were the days.

Keep coming back to this version. For TBC fans check out The Magpie Salute RR new band with Marc Ford etc..
Many of us caught TMS 10+ times live. it was so special
@@amoricans Nice! I watched twice live and I liked it but it was a little hard not to see CR on vocals and Eddie obviously. Cheers!
Is the the tour for Souther Harmony & Musical Companion? They should've brought the background singing ladies out with them. I miss their sound in this tune.
Thats my fav Black Crowes album.

Marc Ford was to the Black Crowes what Mick Taylor was to the Rolling Stones!
and the best goddamn drummer in the last 30 years
Get The Black Crowes back to Glastonbury as quick as possible Damn they would blow every fucking band off the stage Gutted I wasn't there for this 🤠🤓🖤🖤
God I love it when they went through their Allman Brothers phase
Marc Fucking Ford. I was at this show.
I was there that year,The Stone Roses were supposed to headline the main stage but John Squires fell off his bike and broke his collarbone,Pulp were a late replacement.
The Crowes however were consistently fucking brilliant as they always are, completely lose my shit to this song every time i hear it.

Very true he was good looking as well as Rich and the rest of the band
Dude @ 9:59 still gets it.
One of the few times Criss's voice may have been strained. He obviously dropped the Octive to a pitch that fit into that zone.... Definitely Worked !! Here It Is Late 2023 And STILL AMAZED ! Fuckin Loved These Guys !!!❤😅

I just keep fucking coming back.
Was there amazing weekend
Massive
Oasis on their best day could never pull this off...
They were sidestage (at least Noel was) and followed, the Crowes probably concerned they couldn't follow well. Same thing with Pink Pop '93. Word was Kravitz and the band were sweating bullets realizing they weren't going to be as good.
Dude at 9:59 gets it.

i DANCE LIKE CHRIS ROBINSON! GOOD, BAD, OR UGLY! CHRIS ROBINSON ROCKS!
Luke Kocan Damn straight!!
Luckily, I wasn't stuck in a field five miles away, bursting, before the outro I'm going to relisten to now, courtesy of Barracuda
Marc Ford sounds incredible even though he looks like he's jammed on some heavy drugs.
holy shit
Just added to f yeah playlist. Might add it twice.
Love how Chris is so intense on doing his little drumming and cymbals routine...added sooo much to song #sarcasm. They are way cool no matter what!
hermoso el cantante me recuerda la mejor musica pesada de los setentas.
Marc hands down....not taking away from Luther , but Ford plays with waaaaaay more feeling. On comparing Rich to Marc...please.
Nugget ☮️🎸🙏
Definition:
Good music (Gud Muz-ik): this fucking song right here.
Two words: SteveGorham & MarcFord
Can we maybe have three words? Steve Gorman, Marc F'n Ford, and Eddie Harsch? that's a W every night
9:00 This....
Dude at 9:58 gets it!
I disagree so much with what you said...you don't think Ford could come back and capture magic?? wow crazy talk.. unreal
I found 🫵 Pete 💯🙋♀️🫸🫷🥰🫶🥰

Sound like allman brothers in parts of it
Back in the day when guitar players didn’t have pedal boards…..
Pedal boards were quite alive at this point.
@@brandonlbartlett Yep, but they weren't used like they are now. Players maybe had 2 or 3 pedals. Now, they have a dozen.
that intro reminded me of little miss fortune
I agree...sort of. their thing with Luther ispretty sweet. Not the same--mellower--but sophisticated and impassioned.
Chris is the shit man!! I luv him!! I want to trip on shrooms naked alone with him in the forest!! In Oregon!
Fuck, could Marc Ford play a Les Paul!
still can!! That leopard print Asher he's rocking now is like a LP on steroids
Garry Viviano will never cheat imma a Viviano Sharon Mary Marie Norton Viviano
...a *little* more gain. :)
Sting ME ""
Reminds me of yo bongoos
Incredible band, incredible song, need a little work in the harmonization here, too loose in my humble opinion.
marc ford and luther were so far advanced that how the fk do you lose both of them? robinson brothers not a walk across an open field is my guess
Cant keep my pants up sorry
Too bad about Marc. I heard from an inside source that his playing began to suffer to the point they had to turn his cabinet mics off at times. All lies. Find me one recording of one show where Marc isn't in the mix. I dare you.
whatcha you sayin?? you speakin so difficult! honestly i guess this video is only about 3 damn'd ffuckin thengs: pot, whiskey and r'n'r ...
I would master it with more gain to Eddie Harsch.
Jack White
Noel Gallagher has the audacity to say Oasis were the best band in the world at this period!? 🤣 Think again my friend...
No question Marc was awesome, however Luther can jam and grime with the best of the Crowes guitarist. Much respect to both
Luther was the perfect guy for the later era, the way the band's sound and songs evolved. He's a badass. The MFF Crowes are undefeated, though. There's a reason the best TBC records are the ones Marc plays on - not to mention the giant pile of incredible unreleased material he's on.
Garry Viviano is not going to use any of my life I spell Viviano with GA Viviano s ding Wong
who was marc ford? their pusher?
Yes. He pushed their music to incredible heights.
