It's even more specific than that. Vinnie is literally on camera saying that you can't just have Zakk Wylde play guitar and it's Pantera. It's not Pantera. I doubt he'd be smiling at something he refused to be a part of. I get it. It was his brother. He was never gonna feel like anything but a cover band without his brother. Now it's neither of them.
Pantera are one of if not the best band of all time to me. As much as I would kill to see them again I can’t because there is no Pantera anymore just Phil and Rex.

@@skxj i saw them 3 times on the farewell tour. Gary is a nasty fucking guitarist. Just saw pantera 2 nights ago in Jersey...HOLY FUCK man. Ive nevet seen a crowd reaction like that in my life and ive been to about 30 shows. Phil sounded absolutely incredible. Zakk was tearing it up and for sure made Dime smile down from Heaven that night. Charlie and Rex had great energy. The lights, the pyro, the crowd going totally apeshit and singing along to every word. It was magic please go see this show

Not only that for a guitarist that got a lot of experience in Ozzy and his own band BLS & fill in Dime bag Darrell and I wonder how or Zacks kids Love watching their Dad on TV or Live on stage I know I would.
The best part is that Zakk made a video very clearly expressing he's not Dime. His style is a bit different but hesdoing a god damn good job filling in.

It's not just notes, it's nuance and expressiveness. Quality of songwriting isn't based on how complex a song is. Something can be simple and much more amazing than a song a million times more difficult to execute technically.

I’m not saying this because of Zakk Wyld or Pantera, but any band that looses one of the original members is no longer that band. It might sound close to the same, but it doesn’t have the original band memebers influence behind it anymore. It’s not wrong to replace a band mate though, obviously, the show must go on, and usually the person who replaces them does pretty close to what it might have originally sounded like.
When I saw them live I couldn’t believe how good the band sounded and especially Zakk !! Literally nobody better to play Dimes parts than Zakk Wylde himself. His solos were killer.
