The film title does not refer to Lisa Frank, but to the film L.I.S.A (Weird Science) by John Hughes. The chemistry between Kathryn and Cole is fantastic. But for me Cole is clearly the star of the film, without saying so much, just his physicality is just beautiful to watch.🥰 Zelda Williams' memory of her father in the last scene when Cole wears rainbow braces is also simply wonderful - a reminiscence of Robin's role in Mork & Mindy.😍
this movie is a throwback to 80s aeshtetic and style. they were always campy in hindsight, over the top, and need to generously suspend your disbelief lol

I saw it last night and instantly fell in love. I must've been the most obnoxious person in the theater, it was such a blast and an amazing film in every technical sense too. Not to mention Cole Sprouse's incredible acting, he didn't have any speaking lines yet he still managed to get across so many emotions and thoughts. I loved every little thing about this movie and I want it on 4k blu-ray and digital immediately
So wish you would do more stuff with spoilers just so we got longer videos that have you going into the film a bit more. I have always enjoyed listening to you break movies down and I get not all of them work for that, this one seems like one that would make an amazing video
I dug it. I came out of the theater thinking it was unironically fun. And you're right when you said that it felt like it wasn't being held back by the studio. I remember thinking that it felt like a movie with an actual artistic vision and not a paint-by-numbers, made by commitee product.
it seems like Kathryn Newton has been playing a teenager forever. I remember her on a CBS sitcom from a long time ago, and all these years later, still playing a teenager and she's nearly in her 30s
I think it's all about how you look. Even though she's thirty (ish), she still looks like a teen. Take Nick Robinson, for example. He's damn near thirty and still gets cast as a teenager.
Man Zelda Williams is such an UNIQUE talent, just like her Father, she barely appear in anything, but when she is in something, she STEAL THE SHOW, she is great doing voice action, and a very tiny bit acting, which is surprising she been the daughter of the late Robin Williams you would think she have done several films, but not really, and now she letting her voice as a director, she is simply fascinating to me, as soon I can I will give this film a chance, rooting for her as a horror film director.

Not expecting Chris review Lisa Frankenstein cool.
I had so much fun at my showing of this movie! My audience was so into it. Loved the movie!
I didnt expect the ending and i loved it 😍
Jennifer's body is criminally underrated.
It used to be back when it came out, not anymore not after Gen Z found it lol.
@@ramencat788it came out at a weird time. People are too caught up in nostalgia
I wish Zelda all the luck in the world.
she was born into a wealthy family and a connected name to the industry. she's got all the luck already
Loved this movie right up my alley
this movie is a throwback to 80s aeshtetic and style. they were always campy in hindsight, over the top, and need to generously suspend your disbelief lol
I bet Zelda Williams is watching this review with a big smile on her face and teary eyed. 🥹
I've been seeing ads for this and been tentatively excited to see it (because sometimes horror is too much for me or makes me sad) - now I'm outright excited to see it!
I keep hoping that you will do Nimona, it was nominated for an Oscar.
My fiance and I are seeing this for Valentine's Day and this review made me look forward to it even more than I was before!
I dug it. I came out of the theater thinking it was unironically fun. And you're right when you said that it felt like it wasn't being held back by the studio. I remember thinking that it felt like a movie with an actual artistic vision and not a paint-by-numbers, made by commitee product.
I caught it Monday for the Regal Mystery Movie. I thought it was alright, it has "cult classic" written all over it.
it seems like Kathryn Newton has been playing a teenager forever.
@@rachelmartin5187 she doesn't look like a teenager, at all. she looks like she should be playing one of the teachers.
I love that they used the Chameleons song “Up the Down Escalator” in this movie. I hope it gives that band more attention-they deserve it!
Love your shirt! Love those characters! Thank you for the review!
Any movie with a boost of colors that's appealing to the eye I'm gonna fuckin watch
you've reeled me in
Just got finished watching it and looked up reviews to see if anybody else felt the same way - and its nice to know I'm not alone. This movie left me trying to figure out how I felt about it. And that's because it was unique.
Very intrigued after this cool review
Looks so unique and I was excited to hear about this directorial debut.
So glad to hear it lives up to expectations and am looking forward to seeing it!
~_~
So what grade does it get?
The preview for this one was fun
Robin Williams would be proud of his daughter Zelda.
This movie was so great. It helps that I'm an elder goth who lived through the 80s, but anyone could find something to love about this adorable dark romance.
Who is here for Liza Soberano?
You.
Booooooo
I am
You
I watched this movie a few days ago and I loved it! I love how unique the story is and the acting was remarkable! It was not cringey or cheesy acting like movies nowadays. I recommend watching!
This review sold me on this better than the trailers
Im excited to see this, cause i love when the logic of the movie is just movie logic and thats ok
Just saw it. I really liked it. I only have two complaints. 1. It was too short. It really could have gone on for another twenty minutes. 2. It should’ve had an R rating. It should have been bloody and shouldn’t have held back so much.
Loved the movie! I felt like I was back at every one of my friends houses with the set design, costumes… it was just perfect!
