You had my clothes changed without permission 8. You refused to let me see my friends or family 9. You had me dragged on a plane and tied up on said plane 10. You restrained me in the bedroom without consent 11. You murdered some guy on the front lawn 12. You're super controlling 13. You watch me sleep 14. You sleep in the bed without asking 15. You wait in the dark for me to arrive 16. Oh, and you're not so secretly a part of the mafia!!!!!

If he wanted her to fall in love with him in a year, why not just "accidentally" run into her and then ask her out on a date like any other normal person 😶😶
Maybe that's what he was trying to do when she first bumped into him but he just got shy and lost his nerve when his babygorl pick-up line didn't work? 😂
More like: let's take a director known from being non able to accept any criticism and a writer that read only 2 books in her life and she thinks that she's brilliant. I can only say that Poland is sorry for this crazy duet.
Why should we apologize? Americans didn't apologize for "50 shades of Grey" or "Twilight" :) I know, it's like the most stupid movie I've seen this year, but i'm kinda glad that thanks to Netflix we're not suffering alone.
some tucan yes because people find healthy relationships boring because everything is nice and happy and in reality most relationships aren’t like that so people choose watching a story they could be more invested in, which is messed up and sad at the same in this society 😕
Azraa C I have to disagree, a healthy relationship doesn’t have to be nice and boring all the time. Take firefly with the solid couple Zoe and Walsh. The characters were a,axing the stories that kept being introduced for each episode kept you hooked. The couple had disagreements and faced external dangers.
I'm a polish woman named Laura, which makes this movie extremelly uncomfortable (I haven't seen it, just some reviews). During the video Alex used the english pronounciation of the name, which allowed me to disassociate myself a bit, but when Massimo used the polish pronounciation (11:13)... man, it got 100 times worse.
How this movie would be quicker: Laura: *turns around* Guy: Hey bby gi- Laura: *pulls out pepper spray and sprays him in the eye, and runs away* *Credits*
Well you know how the Ansel Elgort is a rapist thing recently came out. The amount of people saying "hOW LucKY she IS" is actually alarming... and that's not a fictional dude.
At least that was believable since relationships like that do exist irl. But wtf was 365 Days? Any woman in this situation irl would wind up dead and at the bottom of a lake.
yeah and tbh i wouldn't even say what happened was Stockholm , it was just a lot of manipulation on the guy's part (in terms of power) and on the director's part (in terms of story). I feel like saying it's Stockholm puts some blame on the victim ;-;.
Kaylee Lam I dont even think it was true manipulation. the movie was so rushed and i was confused on how she even fell for him. I feel like she has no personality
lov. ell yeah I understand that but there were still many ways the dude manipulated her (isolation, control, violence) ,, there’s actually an interesting vid (ua-cam.com/video/t8xL7w1POZ0/v-deo.html ) about this trope
Alex neglected to mention that Laura "ruined" Massimo's business deal by nearly getting SA'd and Massimo had to intervene. Thats honestly the part that disgusted me the most
Imagine falling for a guy who's dangering your whole life... fucking disgusting. Also, this mafia boss romance trope is so common in teenage Wattpad fanfic stories. No wonder the movie's so bad.
@@charliepea it really does my head in how pretty much every single ridiculously popular wattpad book is about a mafia don charming a woman. Like shut the fvck up already.
Yeah but when you're in a foregin country and you're literally a 5'3'' tiny woman, you know better than to go out at night alone. Plus, we always bring a friend to the bathroom
Mafia Dons would shut down the entire beach so they can bask for 2seconds, plus it just looked off , a building in the beach , and the bitch doesnt question why are there so many big cars , am sure the gunshot part she would have heard . But hey , terrible authors + terrible directors= Shitty movie
What ticked me off about the author’s defense of her work was she tried pointing out the audience’s hypocrisy when they praise stories like Beauty and The Beast but criticize 365 Days. One story is about genuine love while the other is literal romanticized abuse. I think her goal was to call out the critiques people had regarding the Stockholm Syndrome by comparing the story to the Disney tale, however the latter had nuances that set it apart and actually had a healthy romance in it. Belle doesn’t fall in love with Beast until after he lets her go and she realizes he’s truly turned over a new leaf and learned how to be kind. In 365 Days. Massimo doesn’t grow as a character in the slightest.
Yea and also he did not throw that onto belle and force her to fall in love with him. She CHOSE to take her father's place. Beast never hurt belle physically. He wanted her to fall in love with him, but she was more important to him than his freedom so he let her go. He truly loved her and gave her space. She never knew she had to fall in love with him she just did.
100%! Belle willingly makes the choice to save Beast because he actually... gives her a choice. Massimo hardly does the bare minimum and doesn't even give Laura a damn choice at all.
EXACTLY!!! Creep: you're gonna stay here until you love me Beast: get the f*ck outta my house Creep: im not a monster. you'll love me Beast: im a monster you'll never love me Creep: ill never hurt you *proceeds* to hurt her Beast: ill tear you apart *can't even raise his voice without feeling bad*
No, she's got a point. Those classic disney stories are creepy as fuck, the difference is it's marketed to kids which makes it better (a little less creepy) and worse (it teaches children harmful things)
I mean from the comment section a summarising what happened in the books..this guy actually killed a dog to take revenge on his ex and then sent the dead body to her in a box. F*** this guy.
JennyM1998 This is the logical conclusion of the idea that men and women are equal, and should be made equal, and considered equal, no matter what; every tendency gives birth to a counter-tendency; the tendency for a long time now has been towards equality; now, the counter-tendency is beginning to surge; and it doesn’t help that equality is impossible to achieve either; making everyone equal is as impossible as making every star in the sky equal in size, or making every tree and leaf and flower equal in color; and it’s interesting that women are the ones who are at the forefront of this trend towards a kind of primitive tournament world where the strong and the vicious and the powerful get everything they want, and everyone else gets nothing; this proves how futile and ill-conceived all of our modern ideas are.
JennyM1998 In the past, it was considered customary and natural and just for women to sleep with and fall in love with the men who were directly responsible for slaughtering their kindred in battle; the ubiquity of this phenomenon back then gave birth to a tendency in the feminine soul to fall deeply in love with murderous men, and turned this tendency into an evolutionary adaptation; this makes it universal; the popularity of this movie is nothing but a reflection of that evolutionary tendency in action; it’s quite disgusting, actually; if you take this tendency to it’s logical conclusion, then what you get is a fascistic world order, where the top tier is inhabited by sociopaths and the middle tier by their slaves and willing concubines and the bottom tier by everyone else; the realization of an order like this might be possible given how much technology is advancing, and especially biomechanical and biophysical control technologies; you have reason to be concerned; your intuition is in the right place; and it goes without saying that this is also part of the reason that the male suicide rate is so damn high; of course, for obvious reasons, no one in the mainstream will ever admit of a connection there.
capri corn as an Italian person...I’d like to say that the entire country is not sorry....cuz we fucking have massimo..and that’s why I’m changing country
It actually would have been kinda good as a horror movie... where she doesn't fall for him of course, but plays along and escapes/kills him at the end.
You kidnapped me, held me against my will for 365 days, away from my friends and family, just to try and force me to love you, then called me disobedient like I'm some slave rather than a kidnapping victim... but then saved me from drowning?...A little 'ole disobedient, job ruining, ungrateful girl like me?" *Stockholm syndrome activated* "....I love you."
this movie makes for sure even less sense.. but you can at least enjoy the sex scenes lol I'm not sure about what to enjoy in Twilight to be honest lol
Nothing is a worse love story than Twilight. Not even that movie. Or did they e.g. started sparkling, played "vampire baseball" and always stared at each other without saying anything looking massively constipated and I just missed it? Seriously, in this movie you can at least fast forward to the soft porn.. there is nothing sexual in Twilight, and if there was, I wouldn't want to watch it
Whoever wrote this movie definitely has a background in fanfiction Edit: this comment was not meant to make fun of fanfiction, only to point out that the mafia kidnapping thing is a very common theme amongst fanfic writers. I have read my fair share of fanfiction and there’s some really talented writers out there who have written material much better than this.
You wish. I've read an interview just yesterday with an actor who gave a long rant about how women are no longer women, and men no longer men, and he felt used as a young actor because he was typecast in such roles, but then "he accepted the responsibility".
I feel like movies like this wouldn't be as bad if they actually portrayed the horrifying actions of the male love interest as horrifying rather than sexy. The main issue with movies like this is "Yeah these are red flags, but good thing red is my favorite color!"
Mae Llg Spoiler I am sorry to disappoint you but: No, she just get kidnapped again. There're 3 books and the first book is the first movie. There will be more...

This movie is trash downright creepy with a woman having a serious case of Stockholm Syndrome . It’s like romanticising toxic relationship.
Like almost every romance story seems to do these days. Healthy relationships apparently aren't sexy enough.
some tucan yes because people find healthy relationships boring because everything is nice and happy and in reality most relationships aren’t like that so people choose watching a story they could be more invested in, which is messed up and sad at the same in this society 😕
omg ik that stockhom syndrome is a serious thing, but of course my mind had to go to la casa de papel and monica and denver lmao
ssisna same 😂
Azraa C I have to disagree, a healthy relationship doesn’t have to be nice and boring all the time.

In short: consent isn’t necessary when the guy is hot, romanticized Stockholm syndrome, a woman is hot when she has no personality
yeah and tbh i wouldn't even say what happened was Stockholm , it was just a lot of manipulation on the guy's part (in terms of power) and on the director's part (in terms of story). I feel like saying it's Stockholm puts some blame on the victim ;-;.
Kaylee Lam it’s never the victim’s fault, this syndrome is a defense mechanism
Kaylee Lam I dont even think it was true manipulation. the movie was so rushed and i was confused on how she even fell for him. I feel like she has no personality
lov. ell yeah I understand that but there were still many ways the dude manipulated her (isolation, control, violence) ,, there’s actually an interesting vid (ua-cam.com/video/t8xL7w1POZ0/v-deo.html ) about this trope
Kaylee Lam he was controlling and her isolation played against her because she was alone and he was the only one there

EXACTLY!!!
Creep: you're gonna stay here until you love me
Beast: get the f*ck outta my house

Beast: ill tear you apart *can't even raise his voice without feeling bad*

i am very worried about this trend of each movie getting creepier than the next and they still all pretend its romantic or hot
@@jennyms1998 I didn't watch this movie but I don't even have desire to watch it😂
@Winston Smith that is what concerns me so much, it is such an unhealthy trend

You wish. I've read an interview just yesterday with an actor who gave a long rant about how women are no longer women, and men no longer men, and he felt used as a young actor because he was typecast in such roles, but then "he accepted the responsibility".
It originally was on Wattpad, but then later published and is the first in a series. So yeah, Mafia kidnap love stories are huge on Wattpad.
