With my wig i can totally see the wig grip underneath it, and it drives me crazy. Thank you so much for this advice. I will be putting an order to Amazon with scar tape in it. Also, the idea of using eye shadow is genius! Thank you so much for this video. You are amazing!!
Congratulations on your new baby girl, love the name! Good to see you again😊 Question, the scar tape… do you have to replace it every time you wash your wig❓
@@anni1937 Hi!!! Thank you so much!! ❤️🥰 With the scar tape, I usually just peel it off the wig and place it on my dresser. Then wash and dry the wig, and put the scar tape back on! When the scar tape becomes less sticky and begins to come off, then I just replace it. The scar tape comes in a big roll, so I just take a piece of it again and reapply :)
This was super helpful for making the part look more natural...thanks so much! Do you have any tips for the front hairline on lace front wigs? I have a Raquel Welsh Well Played and find I struggle with making the front lace invisible and the hairline more natural but maybe I just need to go in to pluck and create baby hairs like you mentioned?

Thanks for this really good tutorial! A question, and I may have missed it in my first viewing of your video, but what is the purpose of the silicone strip placed on the inside of your wig?
@@debranagel8261 Great question, and thank you for catching that detail! I didn’t cover the purpose of the silicone strip in this video, so I’m glad you asked. Essentially, it’s an add-on after placing eyeshadow down the part line to make the part even more defined, giving a faux scalp effect. The silicone strip helps cover dark knots and fills empty spaces beneath the lace, especially after additional plucking, which makes the wig look incredibly natural. Another advantage of using the silicone strip is that it covers any visible edges of your wig grip. If you’ve noticed where your grip starts and ends when looking down, the silicone strip creates a seamless, skin-like effect along the part line. Hope this helps clarify! 😊
I’m a natural redhead that is fading to blonde and white. How would you make the darker roots of a wig lighter along the hairline? I’m not a fan of darker roots, but it is so hard to find my natural color. I’m naturally sporting an ombré of auburn growing from my scalp to the brighter copper that it used to be. I’m 56 and so VERY new to this wig journey. The wigs that I have purchased are synthetic. Thank you for ANY help! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🫶🏻 My reason for wigs is because I have several autoimmunes, one being rheumatoid arthritis. I have very long, now thick, naturally curly red/auburn VERY frizzy hair. And it is very painful to do all the steps that I have to do to make sure my hair is not frizzy. Most of the time, I am always in a bun. But I do get sick of the bun. It won’t help me any if I cut my hair, because then I would most certainly have to do something with my hair. So this is what I’ve opted for.
Hi, I have a lace front wig with a monofilament part. The part only shows a bit at the front because of permatease in the part line. Can I pluck it back further? Or can the permatease be plucked? My part line is only about 1/4 in visible before it hits permatease. Thanks.
Steph, I tried Beverly Hills Bell Tress and it was to small. I think that cap is sized average. I’m new and ordered it just to try and get my feet wet. It was beautiful but it kept sliding back from the front scalp. Help?
I need a larger wig too, not many to choose from though. But I really like Tempo Large Ellen Wille, fits well and actually looks good after plucking the parting.

Do you use the silicone tape on a hand tied wig? Is there a way you cover the shiny scalp of a hand tied?

How do you flatten a wig? I would rather not thin it. Lots of wigs I get have too much hair and didn't know that until I got it.
