Please tell me where you're headed on vacation and how long you intend on wearing your wig for? ☺I find 5 days of wear is my favourite because otherwise I go a little crazy with something being stuck to my head LOL. But, there has been times where I needed to keep my wig on for longer, which is how I know this method works like a charm! I hope it helps you guys too 🥹
As a companion to this great video, can you do one about how to sleep, shower and style a wig you’re keeping on for days at a time? Plus also how to remove after? 😊 I spent a week in London this past spring and would love to know how to do all this for my next trip!
Awww thank you so much!!! ❤ We are having a lovely weekend, the weather is beautiful and we are out enjoying ourselves! I hope you’re having an amazing weekend as well :)
I’m pretty new here, so if this isn’t too personal, can you tell me how and when you made the decision for alternate hair? I know everyone is different and everybody has different reasons. I guess I’m asking how did you find your courage? Love your content and love your brave soul. Thanks❤
Great tutorial Steph! Would this process for gluing be used on a bald head as well, or would you just glue directly onto the scalp without the nylon wig cap?
@@paula-mw2ux thank you so much! 💕 I personally would just glue directly onto the scalp for a bald head 🤗 and in that case, I would only use the ghost bond glue at the front if you want it to stay for days, and not even bother with the Got2B. Unless you’re wanting a lesser intense glue down, one that will come off with water, you can use the Got2B in place of the Ghost Bond
Really great vlog Steph. You are beautiful no matter what you do!!! Thank you for sharing these amazing tips! I guess I just want to know how to keep the lace front from itching. Sometimes the lace by the ear tabs itch. I want to be able to wear the wig w/o scratching, pulling and adjusting the lace front. I would love to be able to wear to work, to look more professional. I’ve learned to pull the tabs tighter, since my wigs slide up, small head and my sub occipital bones are very small, so doesn’t hold in place. Also, the one size fits all wig cap rides up also, silicone down or up. Any advice is greatly appreciated. 😊
Steph, I always wanted to be able leave a piece on for days and not be afraid it will fall off etc. Thanks for sharing! I am willing to look into this company and purchase a wig. Is this a company that you would recommend and/or are there other companies that also offer real wigs and great wigs? Also, how long do they last? Trying to take advice from someone that has a lot more expertise than I do. Thank you!

@@charlottelargacci great question! I personally just use the straps but you can totally use glue or tape at the nape. I have hair back there and find it uncomfortable to wear a glued nape for a long period of time. If I was just doing it for a couple of hours, I could stand it, but if it was a glue down for a couple of days, I’d go crazy. Lol 😆
One of the main reasons I wear a cap when gluing a wig down for an extended period is because I have dark bio hair underneath. With a light blonde wig, my dark hair can show through, which takes away from that natural scalp-like effect. Wearing a cap-and even adding a bit of concealer on top-helps the wig look more realistic, especially in certain situations. For instance, if you’re swimming or getting the wig wet around others, the cap ensures your dark hair doesn’t peek through as the wig lays flat. Additionally, a wig cap provides protection against friction, which can occur if you sleep in your wig. Without a cap, the lace can tug on your natural hair and potentially cause breakage. A cap keeps your hair tucked in securely, reducing friction and minimizing the chance of damage. Hope this helps! 😊
@@apacur oh! Sorry! They must have re-arranged their site. Here’s the link: jadorasecret.com/products/harper-s?_pos=1&_sid=31861cfc4&_ss=r Yes, you can definitely wear it with a wig grip. Thats usually how I wear it when I’m not gluing it down. The glue is so that it will last through swimming, sleeping and showering and not budge. The glues adds the ultimate security. If you intend on taking your wig off every night, just wear your wig grip and don’t worry about the glue.
I dont know if anybody will respond to this, but I recently cut my hair short to a pixie cut style because it was so heavily damaged and there was nothing else that I could do. However I hate it and no matter how many times somebody says it suits me I just cant bring myself to like it and it’s really destroying my confidence and self esteem… I’ve been wearing hats and hoods ever since. Im going on vacation for two weeks in February and it’s gonna be a horrible experience if I have to deal with this ugly haircut that entire time, so I’m looking into what I can do and thinking about getting a wig, however I’m a total beginner and don’t even know where to start, if anybody could respond with some tips or where to look or what to watch it would be amazing ❤

So excited to hear a wig can be glued on this long!!! I thought it was a huge no-no sleeping in a wig.
@@paddypaddy2834I agree, I was surprised to hear that gluing a wig for an extended period does not cause her issues with her hairline receding .
It’s a no-no for synthetic wigs. Sleeping in your synthetic wigs will wear them out quickly. Human hair is better which is what she’s wearing. ❤

Do you use glue or tape on the nape or just the elastic straps to tighten at the back?

I was wondering the same thing! At some point it would be really cool to see a wig removal video after you've done this kind of glue process.
Can you do this without a synthetic wig ?
So technically yes but should you? No absolutely not. You will quickly ruin it with all the friction.
Wow, I didn't know you coluld leave coconut oil in your hair for so long

And could this also be worn with a wig grip band instead if gluing it?
