    This video made me go buy a new USP 45. And while I was at my gun store they had a USP Expert 9mm. I couldn't pass that up. Now I'm broke.....

      I did the same thing, wish I would of got the USP 45 Expert or the 45 Elite instead of the 9mm though. the pistols are huge and the 45acp is a good match for that size of a weapon.

      Just get an old police trade-in if you find them expensive. You'll be hard pressed to shoot it more accurately than it already is, no matter how much holster wear it has.

    I came from a glock 17 and glock 26. I wanted to grab a compact 9mm, and went with HK p2000 v3. in 9. At first I was pulling left, just due to having to re learn from striker fire to the DA/SA. After 350 rounds or so I have that thing dead nuts accurate and caught the HK bug. I am now looking into getting a 45 and was unsure if the Hk USP 45 was going to be too "big" but after this video I am sold.

    i often find myself saying "sometimes you just wanna carry a .45" and ive been thinkin the uspc 45 or hk45c are just my ideal carry gun. i love 1911's and still own 4. sold off 3 in the last few years from sig, ruger, and remington. i love the trigger, ergos, and slimness of a 1911. gov and cmdr lengths, dont mind the weight of steel even for carry, but have a springfield lwco for when i do need something lighter...but i flat out think the uspc or hk45c would be my ideal carry gun. i need to get some trigger time in and figure which one will work for me the best and just get one.
    i usually carry a glock 19, sometimes cz75, or even a sig 226. sold my vp9, and the only hk i have left is a uspc 40 which i just love but i know id love the 9mm or 45 more. one day ill have them all. been also fighting the idea of a p30sk or even just a p30!
    my uspc is a 1996 production gun, i cant even bring myself to let it go!

    Just put a match trigger in my 95 model. Trigger pull was forgot the exact but bout 3.2 and the double action was 6.4 ish...it also took out the nasty grit from the double action...its a tank!! And the accuracy is 1911ish ......i just wish the grip were smaller. Like a USP with that glock short 45acp round. I know down here in florida the FHP was issued that Glock as their standard issue years ago....but i digress....machining is excellent but what really amazes me is the finish.....ive never had a holster for this beast and its been thrown around since 95 and there isnt a scratch on the slide and no wear to speak of. Any other pistol would have been marked and marred from bumps and handling......and a reminder this pistol went through 30,000 rounds of +P followed by 5000 rounds of “proof” rounds (probably +P+) during its US gov testing......remarkable!! No cracks or parts failures.....

    This is a great video! I just purchased one and after 100 rounds I am shooting right on target. I have a CZ SP01Tactical 9mm which is a nail driver, but the HK with the standard trigger is pretty good. I am delighted to own and enjoy this classic extremely well made pistol. I purchased the meprolight sights since mine did not come with night sights. I have not installed yet.

    Hey I just bought this with the UTL light and everything. I’ve read that the UTL battery life sucks even when it’s off. People say they have to change out the batteries on it every month even if they’re not using the light but now having one, I’ve noticed that there’s two switches that have to be on in order for the light to come on. So I was wondering what your take on the light is?

    I totally regret even trading my USP 45 for the Colt LWC 2016 :( The Colt is not a great 1911 at all... my buddy got the better deal. Oh well win/lose. I lost...I asked him if he wanted to re-trade back and he was like, "not after watching your videos on it...." LOL aw well. He's shooting it tons and enjoying it so... I probably wouldn't shoot it much but... I'd like to have it back in the collection.

    • @navyman8903
      @navyman8903  8 років тому

      Thank you sir, you're a gentleman and scholar as always. Before too long, I'll be having a video blaming you completely for a Colt Rail gun purchase. Maybe not in the summer, but mark my words, one day.....I'll have one.
      I will say the USP45 is a fine pistol, it runs and shoots beautifully for a production polymer framed gun. IT's just too good to ignore for what it does. That's why I can't live without them. But, if you don't shoot it that much, or it wouldn't get range outings, then might not be worth having. Which is some advice I should take myself on my serialized pair of HK45c's in FDE I have. But I'd never forgive myself for selling them later in life.

    • @TheOl1911

      Yeah don't sell those HK45c's in FDE! I actually met a guy at the range the other night that had a Colt Combat Unit Rail Gun. He let me shoot it and I was impressed. I like it. Maybe you can add one of those to your collection!!!

    Shot mine for the first time. Had a bit of an odd experience. The slide seems to cycle...slow...like I could feel it on the rails and could feel it reingaging. Almost like an air gun. Am I just limp wristing the high bore acces due to shooting Glocks and the VP9 or is there another issue? It also seemed like some of the rounds were tumbling into the target. Not a newbie to shooting just to the USP..

    Sweet. I just got one of those M2 lights for my USP. I bought the gun about a year ago and just found one of the M2 lights on Ebay. It's in pretty good condition. You don't seem to be having an issue with it on this video, but I've heard some reviews online about issues with the battery compartment coming off when they shoot the gun. Could this be an issue with defective units or something else? I ask because I haven't shot my USP with the light on it yet. Just had to ask. Thanks in advance if you get to respond.

      I haven't ordered them yet for the USP 45's, but I have them on my USP9 SD and I love them. The sight height is about the same as the stock sights which is great. I've noticed the P30/VP9/HK45 sights are taller than the standard sights which causes a relearning issue for POA/POI. But the USP series trijicon HD's are spot on.

      @navyman8903  7 років тому

      I was stationed with a group of Marines in a Security company in 2006, we relieved them from VQ-4 squadron so they could go down range. They called us Devil Dolphins because we had to train to their standards, and also since we were not in their minds actual "sailors" so squid didn't fit. We came from A school straight over to stand it up, so we'd never been underway. They don't like to send MA's on ships that often, which I'm on an LHD now.

      I consider its uncle the P7 series cooler. I wish I could afford those but P7s are pathetically overpriced. Even back in the late 90s, they cost a whopping $1,500 and only held 8 rounds. Considering how tough it was to find the base model, forget about trying to find the high capacity P7M13...
      I gave up and got a .45 USP. If I carry it, I like that I can keep it "cocked and locked" and then just drop the hammer before putting it in my safe.

    It seems a little big. Would you reccomend this for concealed carry

    • @freekingcrazy1
      @freekingcrazy1 6 років тому +1

      Liberty Lover I own one, and they are big. It is possible to conceal carry the USP .45, but there are better (smaller) guns to use for edc. I carried my USP concealed for about a year using either a Blackhawk Serpa owb holster or an Alien Gear iwb holster. I know I’m 2 months late on this, but hope it’s of some use to someone.

    "Socialist banned state"! LOL! But you're correct! Buying guns and ammo in California is a pain in the ass. It's all about tax and fees and not safety. That's how I look at it!

    • @jfr04261
      @jfr04261 8 років тому

      I heard that it's an approved option now. From what I understand they still use HK 45c for a .45

    • @navyman8903
      @navyman8903  8 років тому +3

      We'll see how it shakes out. I know a few of them already do. As far as replacing the P226 it will take a few years. I also don't think the SEALS will tolerate the Glockisms like the erratic ejection and random trigger pull weights coming out of Glock the past few years. They're going to have to make sure those G19's are running 100% properly. SEALS also run their guns harder than most, so we'll get to see if they're up to the task. I know the IDF likes them, but we'll see if they're ready for what the SEALS are going to throw at them.

      That is correct, the HK45ct V3 is what they're running presently to replace the MARK23's.

      +DevilDolphin I'm in between the Hk P30s and the USP 45 right now... $&%##^£€ meeeeee

    • @navyman8903
      @navyman8903  8 років тому

      The P30 is possibly one of the best and toughest 9mm hammer guns out there, and the same can be said for the USP45. I'm a 45 guy so the USP45 edges it out for me. But the P30 isn't something to ignore. It's a wonderful handgun. The trigger on the USP45 is better out of the box, and can be improved with HK factory upgrades in the SA reset department vs the P30. But the P30 is a damn fine pistol. I'm into both pretty heavily if that makes your decision any harder, and didn't offer any definitive leanings. :)

    Nice to see more of your vids. I will probably be particularly ways with my P30L(or maybe one of me HK45's) for a USP9 fs + cash to fund a Scar 17 FDE. Sad but you know it's a Scar. I will miss the P30L but I'm sure I will adore the Scar. These are Gems out here in Comifornia.
    HK45/HK45c's go for $2k and these are not New either. Crazy
