Caesar's favorite legion is Legio X Equestris. Use them instead. Also you named Legio X Cisalpina when it is Legio X Fretensis units you are hiring. Other than that great video. Very entertaining.
I haven’t found where to recruit them yet sadly haha. Also I changed the names of the legions to suit where they were originally recruited to help people know where the legion is based. Over time their names will evolve though
What an excellent campaign created by DEI.. about 100 turns in on one myself now. Thanks for putting out such great content!! Even though I am playing it myself I still love seeing your journey!... I had grand plans of Ceasar being the Gaulic conqueror and forging the empire as well, but accidentally got him killed off in Thrace... I nearly rage quit the battle and started fresh, but decided it felt too cheap. I decided to live with my actions and to instead make Marius my main focus so that he can be the restorer of the republic.. in my timeline the republic will not go into darkness but will instead be strengthened by the blood and sacrifice of its honorable generals!
Oh wow that’s a sad ending in Thrace haha. I’m glad your having a good time though! Have you fought against Pontus yet? I’m wondering if it’ll be hard or not
@@Immersaholic Yes I sure have. They are currently on the ropes with 1 settlement left in Armenia... by the time I consolidated in Greece they were pretty powerful and had expelled Sulla from Asia and had grown into Armenia and Syria. I played defense in Thrace while I built up a couple of navies. They seemed strong on the land so I went on a giant looting and naval rampage in all of their black sea holdings. I looted around 5 settlements without any attempt to hold, and then I liberated 2 of their Black seas cities to get a few allies to guard my northern flank for anticipated invasion of the east. This gave me a ton of cash to really build my economy (tough start with that empire maintenance) and recruit a few more armies, while damaging their income and giving them some headaches with new factions. By the time I invaded they had retaken 2 of the settlements but my armies were superior... they were still a fun challenge though with some good units. Not the most historical plan of attack, so you may prefer a different strategy but it worked well. The navies looped around to help in Cyprus and Antioch so I got good usage out of them on 2 fronts. Not to give too many spoilers because these may be hard coded into the game, I had some other surprises from other factions that added to the overall challenge of maintaining and growing the Republic, think you will love the campaign!.. I like the naritive style you are using in this video, very enjoyable to watch and well done!
Wow that sounds super fun and interesting man! Navies can definitely be super powerful so I quite like to your strategy. I’m not sure how I’ll handle this one, it depends on how hard things get lol. The additional mods I’m using make this pretty difficult too
Muy buena la campaña, me gustó la forma en que está diseñado el contenido que permite disfrutar cada paso de las legiones. Muchas gracias por tan buen trabajo.
One could also interpret the forced bending of the f the Kartli as the support Pontos paid for. One enemy removed from the board almost entirely, if I understand it right
How do you manage to make Marcsums realistic Legions submod work in the Mithridatis campaign? The modder himself saif he wouldn't make a version for this campaign. I'd love to use it in it though...
I was given a custom copy by one of the other mod authors, I'm not sure why they are saying they won't release it publicly. I'l look into it and see if I can post a public one at some point.
For a typical DeI playthrough I recommend focusing just on using Graphic mods :) All of the graphic mods I listed don't affect gameplay at all. All of the other submods I usually use focus on making the game harder/more immersive.
i remember when i first got DEI i remember i was told not to go above average difficulty or medium or wahtever it is. is that still a thing? because idk if im jsut fighting bad factions or its just easier. like im mostly fighting east, like from greece, upwards to kaliningrad. havent went into germanic tribes. would it get harder fighting those factions?
Who are you actually playing as? But as for difficulty the typical recommended settings are normal battles but hard campaign difficulty. You can def go higher but it’ll make a large difference
@Immersaholic well im with rome, so i obv have some better armoured troops and in general better attack now that ive been checking them out which makes sense why i find the battles relatively easier. i suspect, the far middle east, egypt and massalia will probably be a struggle.
No mod at all mate, it's a vanilla feature that is usually only reserved for Multiplayer battles. To turn it on for the campaign you need to change a ini file setting. I'm not quite sure which one as I did it a while ago but you can find it in a pretty quick google search :)
@@ImmersaholicPretty please post a link or something for us to download the “small custom mod”, via Google Drive or something please 😂 It would change the whole campaign for me since I only use the names legions… Dig your content 👌🏻 it is wry entertaining 😀
Heya, do you think you could share the MARCSUMM DEI Realistic Legions mod so that it works with the campaign? its something I have always used for my main campaign but never did this one because I play with similar rules to yourself, and NEED.. the correct legions
@@Immersaholic Also i recommend swapping out rivers of blood and the orbis mods / particles for Para Bellum weather, & effects.. i made the change and havnt looked back! Give it a try and see what you think (all three are on steam)
@@andrewburton3051 Thank you for the suggestion mate. For now I prefer to use my current setup as the Para Bellum setup was very saturated for my own taste. I might try it again for my next campaign if I adjust my reshade preset, but I also love using the preset I made for DeI :P
@@Immersaholic yeah i use reshade as well, makes a huge difference, if you do use para bellum just use weather and effects, the combat module breaks the morale system

I'll be honest, once I went back and played TW1's Roma Surrectium III, it was so mind bogglingly better than Rome 2 or any of its mods that I dont think I'll ever go back. It's a shame, Divide Et Impera is incredible for what its worth- and the mod creators should be proud of their work, but I unironically think TW peaked with Roma Surrectium and has never again reached that level again.
Why do you prefer that over DeI mate? I’ve tried to go back to the older games and I just can’t get passed the clunkiness and terrible graphics. The mods are amazing but they can’t do much to fix those issues
@@Immersaholic Well, one its far far more complex than any system Rome 2 has to offer just due to being based off rome 1, and the units are far far more varied due to the expanded modding capabilities on the older titles. Secondly, I dont really mind graphics too much- and Roma Surrectium III has graphics that are comparable to Empire TW despite being based on a 20+ year old game. As for the clunkiness- once you learn how to control the camera with the keyboard and a few shortcuts for unit commands its just as easy to control as the new titles imo. The biggest problem for me is always getting the thing to work- the newest version comes with it's own installer which greatly helps but it can still fumble and crashes still occur- and if you own a multi-core processor that has more than 6~8 cores then getting it to run at all will be nigh impossible with exception of low units and low detail graphics. (since the games before empire all ran on 1 core) But fear not- the old team which worked on Roma Surrectium III and another modding team which worked on Total Realism joined together to bring the mod to the remaster- which is about 50%~ of the way to implementing all the changes put in by the original mod. That means it comes with all the remaster's improvements and has graphics equal to or even surpassing Rome II now.
I’ve actually tried the remastered version, was definitely a lot more accessible but I’m going to wait until it’s more complete to give it another go. May try a campaign or two. I also love the Europa barborum series but need it come be brought to newer games too haha
@@Immersaholic Sadly Europa Barborum was abandoned many years ago so chances of it coming to the remaster are slim at best. But yeah- I'm holding off from the remastered version as well, since the original has far far more content.
@@Immersaholic Same here men. Rome remastered with the great mod Imperium surrectum is great.. Buy pathfinding is sh*t. I love dei for Rome 2 and it's the best total war imo. And really this campaign so great that if someone told me it was made by CA I would believe it. It's the best campaign for me. Also the Macedonian wars I like. DEi keeps this game alive. And they do a great job. And you as a great content creator deserves more subs. It's like a documentary that I watch. See ya for part 2. (Hopefully soon😉👍)
