Kudos on the review, been playin a saba campaign since the update came out and have been having loads of fun. One thing I'd like to add is that the military traditions for Saba buff thier infantry further, alowing you to make some pretty terrifying armys. Overall, loads of fun.
Yes! VERY HAPPY TO SEE YOU MAKING faction reviews again my channel will be starting soon with a focus on DEI as TW in general but the DEI team has done something truly remarkable with Rome 2. Thanks for the ALWAYS GREAT CONTENT @Immersaholic !
A welcome surprise, didn't expect the Saba to get an updated overview first than the Saka. The strat that worked for me as Saba is consolidating Arabia Felix, then cross the Red Sea and deal with the Medewi. I feel like going through Arabia Magna is a trap because you'll be wasting time that's better spent dealing with Egypt while they don't have reforms yet. Once I established an economic powerhouse at Egypt I set my sights at the already weakened Seleucids, since they're in too many wars (at least in my recent playthrough). And it's all smooth sailing from then on.
Not gonna lie I got caught up in the hype for the new roster and forgot the Saka lol 😆 I recommend the same strat too in terms of messing up the medewi. However my difference is in pushing Egypt. While they get very strong with reforms your pre reform units are really poor compared to there’s. So I’d say the reforms benefit you more. As for taking Arabia Felix I get your point too, if you can take cities at opportune times though it’s very helpful for population
Sorry for the late reply. Probably the caravan guard considering you just need a commercial harbor for it, and you got 2 ports beside you at Arabia Felix. Next would be the light cavalry.
Next up an overview for the Boii or mauyrians, bothgot their overhauls a long time ago. But also the Selucids or Getae havent been seen on the battlefield 😉 But honestly I'm always happy to see a faction overview from you, no matter the actual faction.
Oh absolutely, Odrysians would be the closest and best designed to wreck them. Their romphaia warriors have insane armor piercing and attack so they will slice them up. Parthia and all of the nomadic horse archer factions are also obvious ones. Then to be honest the Hellenic factions that have pikes will also beat them in a frontal engagement
@@Immersaholic true but they got a shield for that. Ultimately they can only be used to support other infantry and calvary and not just win the battle by themselves.
You can never beat the epicness of a Roman Legion though!! It's getting harder and harder to figure out what faction looks the best... Perhaps it's time I finally do a video covering that? ;) @@MercanteEredLuin
I don't have the full patch notes. But some units were added (Caravan Guard being one) and all of them received stat/ability changes in addition to the visuals. On top of that I believe the Marib Dam was changed slightly and the cultural buffs, but I can't be 100% on when that was changed.
2 kinds of 2nd pop spearmen, 1 kind of noble spearmen, 1 pre reform lancer, 1 axe unit, and their top tier swordsman now requires 1st pop and is post-reform. There is also a nerf on their 2nd pop archer unit’s missile block and weapon entry(no longer anti-cav spear but mediocre sword)
Superrrrr common issue mate you are definitely not alone! Those are the most common factions and to be honest, the easiest because their front lines are so solid. I would recommend you focus on trying other factions with great defensive front lines like using heavy spears and then that allows you to be a bit more lazy and just focus on flanking. I recommend you try factions like Maurya, or the Odrysians, Saba are great too since if you screw up you have a massive amount of land the enemy has to cross
Honey wake up, immersaholic uploaded
If I was drinking tea I would have just spat it out :D Underrated comment LOL!

what unit did you find most cost effective? thinking of trying for my next playthrough

Love the review bro, can i ask the details of your pc it seems to run well DEI
Missed your faction overviews, love them!
As did I! Thank you :)
I like to play Sabaens, and started the Sabaens Caliphate
Actually each time I played a little campaigns in East, Armenia always goes to war against Kartli and takes over it. Never seen them being allies..
Interesting! I usually see them team up against kolchis, in this patch I’ve seen it
In my campaigns Armenia never teams up with Kartli as well, but it is usually Kartli who gets the upper hand.
@@frankxiang667 Good for Kartli, lets go Georgia! :)
@@frankxiang667 Kartli has better starting units.
Do you have any factions you see as “Rome Killers” I find I struggle against Rome in the mid-late game no matter which faction I play, thanks!

hi bro! gratz on the new pc. specifications !?!?!
Thanks mate!
GTX 4060 Ti, AMD Ryzen 7 7700 8 core, and 16gb DDR5 ram.
Forgot the motherboard... have a new microphone too :P
horse javliens are technically going to do the same amount of damage as horse archers.
They can but not as easily, the range is what makes horse archers so powerful
@@Immersaholic true but they got a shield for that. Ultimately they can only be used to support other infantry and calvary and not just win the battle by themselves.
Galatia had some changes but really smol
Btw Baktria, Pergamon, Saba, Seleucids and carthage have the best looking units

Or Syracuse
Gotta call out of work to watch this now smh
LOL :D #worthit I think? :D
what was actually changed with this besides visuals troop wise?

If I don’t play as Egypt, baktria, or rome, I get my ass kicked

Pergamom please 🙏
Oooohhhh... I'm not too sure if they have had many changes since last time we covered them.. I must investigate!
