Hey Youne! I am a Mechanic as well. I watch other’s videos as well. You can really learn a lot of tricks and make a hard job easier. Thanks for the comment’
Good video, FYI, Oil is lighter than water. Water will be on the bottom where the gears are and will burn out the gears. When you open the drain plug, you will see only water drainging first.
I take it you have had a bad experience before🤪 haha. Good tip. I like doing it this was and you can tell if the vent in the diff is plugged at all by the way the oil drains. Good tip.
@@Schneids15 Yes i've been caught out on a 35year old suzuki SJ410. :-( In the end I had to use and angle grinder to cut a notch in the old drain plug to remove it where it rounded off. I see what you mean about the vent though. Maybe loosen the fill plug then pinch tight, then do drain plug and check vent isn't blocked. Thanks for all your videos. Really useful. I have a 2001 KQ300 in the UK and enjoy using it.
I figured as much👍🏻 at least suzuki made these plugs a big size and not a small 10mm strip easy plug. Thanks for the comment and i am glad i can help people in the UK also😁
Thanks for this as well as all your other videos . Awesome. I need to replace my throttle and choke cables on a 93 King Quad. Do you have any tips or videos for that?Cant seem to find any on line. Thanks again
have you ever come across a front diff with a factory torsen locking type center instead of having a manual diff lock, I am rebuilding mine and the selector in the front diff only has 2 positions 2wd and 4wd no 3rd notch for diff lock. bike year is about 2000 as it has round headlights but still has drum front brakes, I can e-mail you some photos if this is some kind of odd ball set up and you would like to see it, I cant seem to find any info about this type of front diff.
Question ;;; i have a 1995 king quad , the rear tires ( the bottom pushes in towards the engine in the off position but they get aligned when on and running …. Now it quad wobbles on first gear …. Do have any tips or solution for this problem.
Hi Schneids15 Excellent video series on the Quad King 300 - they have helped me enormously. Recently I did a carb and valve clearance service from your videos. The bike ran great until I had an oil leak that I traced to a split oil cooler. I have a new used one on the way - but I wanted to ask - do you think I should apply a thin film of RTV on the mating surfaces of the oil intake and outlet flanges as well as the o rings that are there? Or are the O rings sufficient to seal the mating? Cheers!
What marine gear oil brand did you use for your front differential change? Can you post a link in the description for the product? I am drive through a crap ton of water in mine and having trouble finding a good GL5 rated 80w-90 marine gear lube
I just bought one of these king quad 300 the carb was off when I bought it took apart let soak in parts cleaner I installed and it runs. But idles rough and has like a back fire issue but only when idling. Also seems to be running hot on the exhaust
Sounds like your idle circuit and more are clogged up a bit causing it to run lean and produce a lean pop and hot exhaust. I would clean the carb very well pull it apart and do it proper and i bet it solves your issue. These also have to have the intake on to run proper
I have all the rubber connected proper and air filter on. I will have to pull it apart again and let it soak in my carb cleaner for another day or so and make sure it's clean. Could the choke cable not having a good seal with the rubber cause it possibly? I seen that earlier when messing with it. Looks like the rubber boot doesn't sit very well on the part that screws into the carb for choke cable.
@@lutz7001 The choke can cause issues yes. If you just soak the carb it usually never works. You need to pull the jets and clean them with air/carb clean
Hi, is this normal if my front diff smell super bad. Like some kind of burning. I've remove a driveshaft and it stink a lot haha. Maybe this is because water got in?
Great quality videos clear instructions no rock and roll music. I am a mechanic and I like to watch how to do it before I start. Thanks from Quebec.

Just bought a king quad that is 90% restored just needs some tinkering. Watching all your vids to learn!!! Thanks alot

Quick tip, ALWAYS remove the fill plug before the drain plug. If you drain the oil but cant undo the filer plug you might be shafted for a while!

Picked one of these up this fall. No manual came with bike. Great series of videos. Very helpful! Thanks for sharing. This is an awsome little atv.
How do I adjust the 2wd/4wd selector. Mine won’t drop all the way back into 2wd
Thanks for showing step by step. I don"t have any manual, the table was very helpful....( Mex.)

Good video man, my only critique is water is heavier than oil. Oil floats. Water goes to the bottom, always.

Thanks for the video. I'll be doing mine soon.
I realize it is kinda randomly asking but do anyone know a good site to stream new tv shows online ?
@Lukas Ahmed i use Flixzone. Just google for it =)
Hey bro how do you get the front diff shaft off that connects from the engine to the front diff
Think I may have an extra skid plate not sure if you're still looking for one
Hey! I just got a spare parts buggy and scored one. I really appreciate your offer though. Thank you! Josh
Would I have to do this on my 93 as well ? I heard the engine oil serves as all the fluids in this unit but I could be wrong.
This is the front diff. Rear is shared with engine. Correct
@@Schneids15 thanks

Whats the plug on the top of the differential for?
Would like to see front brake master cylinder rebuild. Mine needs rebuilding.

I may have that screw that you turn out 2 5/8 in your other video in a little too much I will check when I take it apart again

If the gear oil is old and black it is completely normal for it to smell horrible. If water got in it would be milky in colour.
@@Schneids15Good, thank you! It is not milky colour. But I will change the oil by precautions.
Good to hear. It is normal for it to smell horrible. I hate the smell of gear oil.
Could you not quickly bend some metal to make a skid plate? I can take some photos of mine to show you the dimensions if that helps?
I could. I have one off my blue one but i would like a proper one.
Man perfect good job 👍 I was just looking for this!!!!
Thanks for an excellent video.
thank you.. from alna maine
re watching , cheers
Cheers from another suby from New Zealand.
Thanks for the Sub. Would love to make it to New Zealand at some point in life😁
I have a skid plate if your still looking.....
