@@levondarratt787 Actually, due to earlier influence of Indian immigrants/yoga practitioners in the latter 19th century into the early 20th century, by the 1930's the more modern-day yoga exercise practices started being implemented U.S. health, bodybuilding magazines, as well as by many exercise teachers in classes. Starting in the '60's, Americans like Richard Hittleman used television, books, lectures, etc. to teach many Americans how to do yoga; he was very popular. In addition, the hippie counterculture, New Age movement, and others, helped spread this practice dramatically by the late '60's, so by the "80's, when VHS and the whole workout movement exploded, yoga was well implemented and alive in America. I love the music of The Rolling Stones.Mick is amazing. If you look at early videos,he wasn’t a very good dancer. That has come with time. Now he is not only a fairly good dancer ,his energy is amazing especially for his age. Long life to Mick! Awesome!
Mick had heart valve replacement surgery in New York. I believe it was in 2019-2020. Aortic stenosis, calcified heart valve. Mick Jagger suffered from aortic stenosis, which is a narrow heart valve. The aortic valve is responsible for managing blood flow through the heart to the rest of the body. Jagger’s aortic valve was calcified which limits its ability to open-and-close. I love The Rolling Stones and I still listen to them. It amazes me that Mick can still dance and move around after having heart valve replacement surgery.
I'd say the surgery was a success, and for this we are so thankful. Never stopping is how we continue. Steve Miller sang, "I don't know, but I been told, you never stop dancin', you'll never grow old,". Mick is vibrant, living proof!

So true. Henry Kissinger is about to turn 100 years old. Overweight all his life and never exercised. There is an element of randomness -- i.e., simply luck -- regarding who lives long and who doesn't. We can actually control only a very few variables. All the rest is a roll of the dice, fate, whatever ...
Was it his 2nd album, Cocksucker Blues, the one that makes HIM, your role model? The fact that he is a devil owned 'secret society' Freemason warlock, the fact that he's a pedophile or the fact theat he's on adrenachrome? that's alot to look up to, for what?
I put Jaggers fitness regime to living next to to an olympian gymnast when he was 14 years old. That gymnast was my french teacher and even at 80 years old was always doing paralletes and other gymnastic exercises during our lessons and using our desks as support. His recollections about Mick were always less than complementary.
Hats off to Mick for his discipline in terms of staying fit and healthy (easier when you're obscenely wealthy), but time still has him resembling Don Knotts more and more with each year.
@@bigfletch8 True, virtually any man can be fit & healthy, but statistically, success & wealth increase the chances. Success in all things comes to those who don't procrastinate.
Calcification of the aorta, open heart surgery often linked to excessive cardio exercise, I don't call that being healthy, even if the appearances are good.
Aortic calcifications are mainly caused by cigarettes and alcohol abuse, which causes lasting damage to the blood vessels. Drug abuse is also harmful. He did all this in his younger years and some of it is irreversible. However, it can greatly slow down the progression of vascular damage through a healthy lifestyle. Without modern medicine, he would probably no longer be there today. But he has a very good chance of living to be 100 years old, I wouldn't be surprised if he even gets older 😁
This person is a model to me. Energetic, active, thin, good caracter, incredibly professional, genuine, good and responsible father and a living leyend. I wish he reaches 100. I admire him.
The Rolling Stones are many wonderful things. One of the greatest joys is to see Mick Jagger D A N C E. Oh, and his eyes still sparkle when he smiles as only he can. Excellent vibes.
He is amazing… for an 80 year old to be in that shape is unbelievable! He does really work hard for it though… you need a lot of discipline to stick to that strict, somewhat punishing routine.
Discipline, sadly is an old fashioned value alien to many very much younger people because it involves hard work and sacrifices. Nothing worthwhile is ever achieved easily.
When people look at my 71 year old self and still plenty active I tell them you your sights set pretty low. Mick the man I emulate. Looking forward to riding my mountain bike at 80 years old!
This is a great video. Good advice for anyone. I’m 75 and run 10km races. It’s not easy but I don’t run fast. I try to eat healthy and I drink one beer a night. I go to the gym. I really admire Mick. Oh and I make violins so I have to get off my butt
Makes sense to me. I adopted a vegetarian diet at 52, ran three miles a day and biked to work. After I quit wage-slavery at 55 to live on a poverty level pension, I switched to mixed martial arts. I quit martial arts when I got to 70 for fear of haematomas, especially in my brain. I still stand on my head in the morning, do 30 sit ups, 30 bar bell raises, 30 squats and trot (aka jog) for 30 minutes on grass. I read great novels, "The New Yorker" and the current online news and am still active in the retired members division of my union. I do continue to drink real ale (Coopers Mild Ale) and have an occasional toke. I'll be 79 on January 8th 2024.
That's pretty amazing to have that discipline. The way I look at it is you have to really enjoy whatever you do Biking,Swimming, Running etc. I don't do those, I lift weights and to me it's fun. I got to hear good music. I'm 65 been lifting for about 30 years. the important thing is don't make it like I've got to do a certain amount of reps each time that takes all the fun out of it. Obviously, 1 or 2 days any weak you are going to be more tired, stressed, and not as strong or focused. just do lighter weights and feel it.
@10Queiroz10 In 2019, Mick had the aortic valve replaced. It was a TAVZ procedure. It was NOT open heart surgery, a HUGE difference, especially in recovery time.

I think the authors just made up Jagger's diet and other health practices--it all sounded too "pat" to me. Sounded like they just listed their own opinion on what was healthy to eat and do. I doubt they ever talked to Jagger about iit.
Being in the sunshine and maintaining your circadian rhythm is key, Mick knows this is the way to maintain energy through optimum mitochondrial function
Impressive, makes great sense. I dont care about any of his music since 1980, but I admire him. I'm 62 and pretty much a couch potato with the high sugar diet. I'm in such pain and hard to move. It's hard to get going a much needed change like this.

Recently I was diagnosed with hepatic steatosis. Along with high glucose levels (pre diabetic) creates not a good combination.. I decided to make some changes in my lifestyle: I started to cut bad carbs and alcohol and engaging myself eating the right type of food (proteins, vegetables, fermented milk products and good oils) with regular exercise and it starting to work: No more “heaviness”, less arthritis pains (almost none, actually). I am going to wait for a couple of more months of doing it right way, and do another liver ultrasound and hopefully see the improvement. Many people have recovered from similar condition. Good genes is helpful too. But determination is even more important. Mick Jagger caught it on time. Good for him!

One thing he doesn't have that most of us his age do, is financial stress. My old b.friend was the keyboard specialist (perfect pitch) & sound for Chicago for nearly 20 yrs, then worked with Prince. Yeah, they get time off, but when they work it's 24/7. But I agree with you, picking up healthy diet and exercise at ANY age is good and absolutely worth doing, as your results show. My point was, the earlier you start, the better your results.
All power to Micks elbow. His discipline is amazing .Think the endorphins play a big part too.The concert in Liverpool last year was spectacular.❤️
Whatever he's doing good for him he's brilliant
I love the music of The Rolling Stones.Mick is amazing. If you look at early videos,he wasn’t a very good dancer. That has come with time. Now he is not only a fairly good dancer ,his energy is amazing especially for his age. Long life to Mick! Awesome!
Running all over stages up and down ramps into and out of the audience and singing at the same time. Try it. The guy has always been amazing😉
Yes Mick gets surgery ….while the rest of us die waiting
@@DonnaLLoyd-lt6ot Donna, no one is waiting in the US. Other countries? That’s another matter. Open heart surgery, cancer surgery and the the like are priority and has been even over the last several years. Stop the rhetoric.

I love Mick Jagger but he must have great genetics. You could never do all that without it. Exercise doesn't prevent many diseases. It does gives you stamina but his is unbelieveable for his age or any age. A gift. Most people in the world can't afford the foods he eats. Expensive. Many are without excellent healthcare. We are not all created equally. Talent to do what he loves, no stress about money, excellent care by the best doctors his entire life. He's been blessed. 🤸♂️
So true. Henry Kissinger is about to turn 100 years old. Overweight all his life and never exercised. There is an element of randomness -- i.e., simply luck -- regarding who lives long and who doesn't. We can actually control only a very few variables. All the rest is a roll of the dice, fate, whatever ...
@@stevethomas2094 I totally agree.
@@stevethomas2094 I'll take quality over quantity. Henry is alive, but is he enjoying being physical?
In fact, exercise *does* prevent many diseases.
Exercise helps prevent the disease that kills the most people in the world by far. But I agree that there is some luck-genetics- involved, too.
Yeah, Mick is a good role model, We learn as we live. Those who do go the distance and not burn out the machine.Way to go Mick.
Wow. I'm such a fan and so proud of our lovely Mick! He's such an inspiration. What a guy!
Lovely. 🤮
@@sharksport01 No worries! 😄
Hats off to Mick for his discipline in terms of staying fit and healthy (easier when you're obscenely wealthy), but time still has him resembling Don Knotts more and more with each year.
In a free society, the level of wealth has nothing whatever to do with fitness activity. Thats one of the many justifications for the procrastinators.
Who cares how your faces looks so long as you're fit, and alive! Like, who cares???
This person is a model to me. Energetic, active, thin, good caracter, incredibly professional, genuine, good and responsible father and a living leyend. I wish he reaches 100. I admire him.
Yeah Jose, Mick is an absolute saint.
What kind of beer? As long as it’s not American made, it’s ok to drink.
Sounds good. And good for you keeping in shape and reaping the benefits

In 2019, Mick had the aortic valve replaced. It was a TAVZ procedure. It was NOT open heart surgery, a HUGE difference, especially in recovery time.
I love how this man looks. His face has so much character and gets more so the older he gets. I also love the way he moves and dances.

I think the authors just made up Jagger's diet and other health practices--it all sounded too "pat" to me. Sounded like they just listed their own opinion on what was healthy to eat and do. I doubt they ever talked to Jagger about iit.

I'm 1 year older than Mick Jagger. It is nice that Mr. Jagger never had to work a job that required physical labor, like building houses, or roads, or putting a roof on a house. He was lucky, lucky enough to fall into being a rock star, and good on that, one in a million thing. Just sayin.
My old b.friend was the keyboard specialist (perfect pitch) & sound for Chicago for nearly 20 yrs, then worked with Prince. Yeah, they get time off, but when they work it's 24/7.
