Seeing the Stones live during Steel wheels, I was mesmerized by all of Mick and his moves. Interview was outstanding and I’ve heard almost all of them over the years.
I remember seeing him on some award show, on TV, a few years back. He was alone on this gigantic stage, and there was nothing as electrifying as this guy strutting along with immense bravado, and taking command of the crowd in seconds just via his body language… it was absolutely incredible.
Mick, trop bon de t'écouter parler de ta vie hors du commun en toute simplicité, et de te voir rendre hommage à tous ces artistes incroyables qui nous ont fait tellement de bien.
Supposedly when Ike & Tina opened for the Stones on their 1966 UK tour, Tina watched some of Mick's dance moves, and told him something like "Uh, boy, you got to let me help you out" and literally taught him how to move his hips in a way that wasn't English white boy dorky.
3 people influenced Mick. First- Brian Jones. At the start, Mick was timid but Brian would get in the face of the audience at clubs and smack the tambourine to rile the audience up. Mick then did more of the same 2nd - James Brown. Seeing him at the Apollo in 64 and then sharing the stage at Tami show later the same year. 3rd - Tina Turner. They were backing up the Stones in 66 and Mick took many of Tina’s feminine antics and made it his own
SS Bundestag I have loved his moves for 45-years. People can say what they want to about Jagger. He's still amazing & has taught us to never stop moving.
Does somebody know if Howard ever had a interview with Jerry Lee Lewis ?? Because … well he’s the killer, last man standing and everything, must be lot’s of tons of stories there 🔥🔥🎹🎹
The facts are ....at the Apollo, James Brown was on First (1st) Keith looked at Mick and each were in awh...the next day James Brown, worked with Mick. Similar to Elvis and Liberace, were liberace, showed Elvis how to dress, clearly Elvis had the rhythm, but needed the show clothing...
Actually Mick did make a consciousness decision to Dance onstage after Witnessing The Great James Brown dancing onstage just before Mick and The Rolling Stones were about to go onstage in 1964.
Jagger is beloved for so many reasons. Being that big of a star and NOT getting caught up in the drugs and drinking is something to be proud of. But that is so not rock n roll!?! Yes and being dead or broke is so not rock n roll either.
Mick Jagger is one of the originals! yeas he studied the great James Brown and others but he also did so much more. He feels the music and dances! Then Michael Jackson, Bowie, Prince, Steven Tyler, Freddie Mercury, Axl Rose and others were influenced by Jagger. I think Mick Jagger is very humble about it all or just doesn't care.
Memo To Howard: Great interview but poor comparison. The Beatles "stood there" because they were playing an instrument. I'm the biggest fan of Jagger's stage presence but, trust me, put a guitar in his hands and the dancing will stop.
" those guys stood there like a stone wall " the Beatles didn't dance around but they certainly weren't still . paul and ringo's head shaking side to side , they felt the music .
For me, the movers were 1) David Lee Roth 2)Steven Tyler and then, there's everyone else, like Ted Nugent, Sammy Hagar, maybe Eddie Vedder, Axl Rose w Snake Dance, James Brown, etc. Of course, Jagger goes without saying, but my favorite frontmen were 1 and 2 right there and I don't listen to that music anymore.
I thought he got the moves from James Brown!!! That guy had some moves. 😮 WOW. They must all have some killer arthritis these days. I read that Prince had a lot of pain with all that jumping around in those high heels that he wore. Athletes too. I worked in a hospital where a famous football player had back surgery and was told to never play again. Of course, he didn’t listen. They some of these guys make pain rub commercials later on. Our bodies weren’t meant to take on that extra stress.
Love seeing Mick so down to earth and being himself.
On a stage Jagger was all but down to earth, he didn't touch the groung most of time :)
Mick's moves where always part of what made his performance so unique.
Mick is so fun. I love how he talks frankly about himself so down to earth.
Seeing the Stones live during Steel wheels, I was mesmerized by all of Mick and his moves. Interview was outstanding and I’ve heard almost all of them over the years.

Thanks Mick for decades of entertainment... we miss you Charlie
Great stuff!!! Mick is probably the best front man of all time! :)
Probably my ars.....he is.....100%.
Love listening to Mick just talking
Someone needs to do an archive interview
Just watched Crossfire Hurricane, a documentary film on the Stones. A must see for any Stones fans, well worth watching.
Thanks for the heads up
Best Rockumentary ever made
Still the greatest frontman in rock n roll.
Really?, he doesn't dance anymore!
@@daviddefigueiredo6018 he's almost 80. Wtf do you want him to do?
@@avinavprasai7940 🤣🤣🤣
But he does dance now. Why would you say he doesn't?
@@daviddefigueiredo6018 He dance. I saw the Stones last year and Jagger still dance all the show
Moves like Jagger 😊
Best Stones song ever!!!!
He FINALLY GOT Mick Jagger!!!!!!
Bababooey finally did his job
Ya but beginning of the show got messed up due to technical error. I bet this just grinded Howard's gears!
How long was he interviewed for??
Mick, trop bon de t'écouter parler de ta vie hors du commun en toute simplicité, et de te voir rendre hommage à tous ces artistes incroyables qui nous ont fait tellement de bien.
i love mick taylor, as for mick j, forget about it, just wow, what an utter f**kin legend, best / greatest rock star of them all.
Such a commanding stage presence!
MICK Nice ....78 Years ...... Super 👍👏👍👏🔥👍🔥👍🔥
Hello, thank you for your love and support.
Hello Evi,how are you doing i hope you and your family are safe!
Mick’s dancing was also inspired by TINA TURNER!
I almost listed here. She's a legend without question. And a real, true Rocker.
Supposedly when Ike & Tina opened for the Stones on their 1966 UK tour, Tina watched some of Mick's dance moves, and told him something like "Uh, boy, you got to let me help you out" and literally taught him how to move his hips in a way that wasn't English white boy dorky.
The absolute best, when Mick and Tina took the stage, it was absolutely on fire and super duper sexy.
A Lot, jùs såyîn ¡😎🥚😎¡
You have to study Mick Jagger as an artist 💜
Exactly what Elvis said about him moving around stage....the music drives me
J said "Prince had that certain mic move down" - Prince had everything down.
Years ago I remember reading that Mick would sing while he ran for exercise to build stamina for all the Jagger moves....
I didn't realize his father was a gym teacher...

Hey, thell be watching Mr Stern's interviews across the mega multi verse 5000 years from now, plus time.
We love you Mick.
Mick is the best performer such a talented rocker 🥇
He needs to give Howard at least two more hours

@Brad1980 He's Howard Stern
@@JustinTNAWWEGuy Exactly. He's Howard Stern. He's not fit to breathe the same air as Mick.
@Brad1980 I agree, he just played the game for the interview as usual.
❤️ mick
Love Mick, he is so humble about his attempt at copying James Brown and Prince's mic stand dance. UK
Love his Jagger moves

I just saw the stones last night, floor seats. Best night of my life
Some of us feel the music, and some of us are the music.
Fantastic

Seeing him on the 17 👍🏿
I saw them that night at Sofi, still the pied piper of R&R
I love that someone SO COOL has a sense of humor about himself.
So bloody great!!
Legend.
So many legends reference Rpince for one reason or another
hes unique.
Hello, it's nice meeting you here, thank you for your love and support.
What a fuckin legend.
Great interview ❤️ # MovesLikeJagger
Only Roger daltrey can whip that mic 🎤
Actually Mick did make a consciousness decision to Dance onstage after Witnessing The Great James Brown dancing onstage just before Mick and The Rolling Stones were about to go onstage in 1964.
I heard Tina Turner taught him how to dance
Jagger is beloved for so many reasons. Being that big of a star and NOT getting caught up in the drugs and drinking is something to be proud of. But that is so not rock n roll!?! Yes and being dead or broke is so not rock n roll either.
Got mick on a zoom call. Great.
😂😂😂
Come Back Mick!!!!
i thought it was "COME SEE MICK!!!" (live version of midnight rambler)
Even Bo diddley did great moves
Fascinating

Wtf? Michael Jackson was not influenced by jagger 😭😂😂
Doing so much more than James Brown on stage...????? Impossible! The great Mike Jagger would agree with me.
He doesn't care :)
Question answered. (Thanks)🙂
Very disappointed this interview was so short, was hoping for an epic discussion Howard usually gets from guests. What a life MJ has led.
they are going to perform at ACL in a couple of days, Im def going for sure, idc if I sit miles away,
When Mick Jagger dances I immediately think of a rooster.
❤️💪🏻
he seems pretty down to earth
Yes he stood on the shoulders of some. But he also wrote the book on performance from the 60s to today
More souple and unpredictable.
I love mick jagger and if it wasn't for him we wouldn't have Axl Rose
Memo To Howard: Great interview but poor comparison. The Beatles "stood there" because they were playing an instrument. I'm the biggest fan of Jagger's stage presence but, trust me, put a guitar in his hands and the dancing will stop.
Nobody wants his playing though
Look at Jimmy Page how he plays guitar and moves and dances at the same time.
is he going to upload the whole interview?
Weird Mick Jagger trivia: his father was a gym teacher.
Why is that weird?
Make sense to me
@@facundopor2 Totally. He is super fit
It should be, where did Mick get his running around, chicken moves?
From Tina Turner.
@Hash Schmark 😊
Beatlemania lives!
TRES Cool
There's 2 guys who imo are THE MICK, MANTLE & JAGGER..
Great talk! Just way too short!
You can tell Mick loved The Killer
Mick Jagger is a University
I go to MJU and I never want to graduate!!!!
Im not surprised he got inspiration from James Brown and Chuck Berry
Did Howard ever interview Robert Plant?
Nice!💃🏼🕺🏼👍
can anyone explain to me how i can watch howards show in europe?
0:10 , it’s sorta hard to dance when holding a guitar or bass, or behide a drum set,
" those guys stood there like a stone wall " the Beatles didn't dance around but they certainly weren't still . paul and ringo's head shaking side to side , they felt the music .
I mean compared to dancing they were a stonewall, head moving isn’t dancing 😂
David Lee Roth had the moves too..
Leaning heavily on the marshal arts, too. Dave was/is great fun to watch.
He had some moves but he wasn't a singer
♥ ☺ ♥
James Brown for sure
MF absolute Legend!!! So humble !!
The Beatles so overrated... sorry 🤷🏼♂️! Howard called it!!!
Every Beatle was holding an instrument that’s why.
And it was about the music … Not the circus.
Chuck Berry and Bo diddley had moves too,it's not just about the instruments
For me, the movers were 1) David Lee Roth 2)Steven Tyler and then, there's everyone else, like Ted Nugent, Sammy Hagar, maybe Eddie Vedder, Axl Rose w Snake Dance, James Brown, etc. Of course, Jagger goes without saying, but my favorite frontmen were 1 and 2 right there and I don't listen to that music anymore.
You missed # 1....as stated by Jagger
"well, we all can't move like Peter Wolf"
Is Howard back in studio or still working from home?
Re: Beatles and Oasis....hard to dance round with a guitar in your hands.
Liam didn't play the guitar
Angus young disagrees
@@victorancelmo2549 Said it. was hard, not impossible.
It is indeed but then some manage(ed) it pretty well like Prince and Pete Townshend.
@@eastonsmith8129 tbf as much as Liam seems like an idiot, he was actually still a captivating performer
Howard needs to interview Axl Rose! I bet that would be amazing!!

Was Howard expecting that The Beatles would dance, with their instruments?
1:08 No, Mick.
That's part of being a 'performer'.
Being a singer is whole 'nother story.
how are you gonna try school mick jagger on being a singer and performer
Of course he can dance around like that he’s not playing guitar
We all know you got your moves from Tina, Mick
Don’t even have to watch..already know it’s James Brown
He forgot to mention the great Elvis Presley but I will for him.
His band mates made fun of his prancing about…I think Keith mentioned Poofter once.
Everyone of the Beatles is playing an instrument while performing and you want them to dance? That's a great comparison. LOL
I wouldn’t call what Pete Townshend did dancing, but he certainly moved a lot while playing.
@@66gtb Keith do it very well.
My Useless Opinion Is He Got His Moves From Howling Wolf .
Dont care to see Babooey / JD / Ronnie or the others after this opportunity. Friggin "Class A" STUFF!!
