I met Mick when I was 16 and working at Soldier Field for the Chicago Park District in 1978. I sneaked backstage just in time to catch him coming off the stage. Then, unexpectedly I met him again 35 years later while he was walking in Lincoln Park here in Chicago. I had taken the rest of the week off after Memorial Day and just happened to be in the park as he passed by. He was very cool.

I always want to hear bands new songs. I also judge the shows greatness by how many obscure deep tracks they played. I'm an oddball for sure. Had 2002s " don't stop" came out in 1980, would have been huge, but like he said, nobody wants to hear new songs from classic bands
I saw Paul McCartney in the early 2000s, and he played a few new songs. If he'd written them in the 70s, he'd be wealthier than he is today.
I saw the Stones play at the Los Angeles Coliseum in the early 80's...great time!
I was working at a party and l heard Mick was upstairs so me and a waitress snuck upstairs just as Mick came out of the room, the waitress and l screamed at each other while Mick just stood their laughing at us until we ran downstairs.

1974 or 19755 Toronto, tickets bought from scalpers, Stevie Wonder opens for the Rolling Stones, and I was there, 2nd time to see them, first time being at quite a small venue on their first tour, in a hockey rink seating about 6,000 in Ottawa. So thrilling, being young and seeing the Rolling Stones, when Ed Sullivan said they'd never darken his stage again--yet here he is again on the same stage.
