, so true Mick is fun to hear, the sound of the Stones plus Mick s voice is magic. Plant is so boring, that s why i ve never been in Led zep, music is good but that voice, it makes me falla asleep, while with the Stones, i jump, dance, shout, well try to
Mick is 80 -- He looks road-worn, but his energy level is more like half that age. Amazing. Glad the Stones are still at it, and great to hear that there is yet another record in the works.
Brilliant interview, thank you Tom. Mick is so interesting, and one thing that touched me was Mick talking about Charlie and saying 'we had lots of interests apart from the band, cricket, football, antiques and beautiful things'. This showed how much interest the Stones have in all of life - and this 'roundedness' comes out in their music.

Fabulous interview with Mick , we are so lucky to have these brilliant musicians in our lives ….. good news that this new album will be followed up with further material .
I'm younger than Mick, but I totally relate to what he's saying about how easy it is to find old, rare or obscure songs it is now thanks to the internet. We're spoiled. Even UA-cam seems to have damn near song I've ever searched for. It's great.
It makes it possible to constantly find songs I hadn't heard before from 30 ,50 , 70 years ago rather than trying to find the rare interesting song that has been recently released. It's very nice to be able to dig into the catalogue of any artist or band and hear things you would have NEVER been able to find before the Internet came into being
Before the internet everyone would have those one or two friends (usually someone with an older brother) who consistently introduced you to non-mainstream and fantastic music. At least that was my experience.
A brilliant interview by a 36 year old and an 80 year old legend. Timeless. Very relaxed, open and honest.interview. Staying abreast of the times for more than 60 years - incredible! Cheers from N.Z.
Mick, you have given me 60 years of better than great music and I thank you for that. I saw the Beatles in '66 and your last 5 or 6 tours in several states. ALL WERE THE MOST FANTASTIC TIMES OF MY LIFE. I feel bad for the newer generations. We really had it all and WE STILL HAVE YOU! Many thanks and much love to you and the band. .
Really enjoyed the interview , brought up listening to the stones in the 60s on vinyl , now back to vinyl again in my 60s! Good questions and Mick seemed to enjoy it as well, thanks Tom.
Well done Mick and the gents, all involved. A great ROLLING STONES album you should be very proud of. Uncompromising, unabashed and heartfelt. I love it.
Great interview, you both seemed very relaxed. A rare interview when the interviewer doesn't seem overwhelmed that they are talking to a living legend.
What a fantastic interview! Great questions and even better answers. Mick is so insightful, humble and funny! I think the key to the longevity of the band and the members themselves is all of them seem to “live in the moment”. I wish this interview was longer!
Wow, that was one of the best Rolling Stones Mick Jagger interviews I’ve seen. It was so comfortable to watch. I didn’t want to see it end. It was 100% living room. it dug deep into everything that you wanted to hear about rock ‘n’ roll roots and the people who made those roots. I swear I saw a twinkle of the light flash off my telecaster. I think you’re gonna have to dig deep to top that interview. Good job.
I felt I attended a class at RS University. Thanks for the great interview and thanks Mick for being so down to earth and talking still with such excitement about your music.Wait with interest for the other songs from the new album.
Thoroughly enjoyed that. It was special. Mick could easily be tainted and coarse after all he has been through. The haters and negativity he has weathered is immense. But yet somehow he remains genuine, honest and open about life and where it takes you. Respect Mick even more after this interview. Great work Tom. You have a new fan.
What a inspiring old aged young at heart man.very smart man in such good shape.we can all learn something from you.your drive to stay young is incredible. Absolutely love your personality ❤️
A brilliant interview and a huge part of this was the prep and engagement without sucking up from Tom. Loved this as it’s a great interview of Mick. So revealing and enjoyable. Great work.
@@GEDDY37he always is! He’s so cringy and always has to include himself in the interview. The last two interviews I heard him do, Paul Simon and Robbie Robertson, he said the dumbest things I’ve ever heard someone say.
What an amazing life Mick Jagger has had. He gets more wrinkly but never really changes otherwise. It's brilliant. Some people get old in their 40s. He's 80!
Look at this style. Incredible. Articulate. The ultimate Entertainer! For Decades! Everyone knows Mick! From the elite to simple music lovers across the ages! I’ve got to hear Anger” yet. The creative spark is iconic!😊😊
Regardless of how the album turns out, it's an absolute inspiration how healthy and articulate the remaining Stones are for their age. This was a great interview, Mick seems like a great person to have a sincere conversation with - you're a lucky guy to get to sit with him for so long.
It's amazing, after all these years, Mick still remains, more or less, the same. I remember first hearing "Paint It Black" back in 1966 and it blows my mind that it was so long ago. Became a fan at that time. I always felt it was a shame they didn't add that song to the UK album as well as the great B side "Long, Long While", which is a fantastic song. They should have left the track "Goin' Home" off instead. Anyway, going off track a little. It's great that Mick and Keith are still doing all right.
I first heard Paint It, Black in 1981 or '82 when I was just before Kindergarten age, and it blows MY mind that it was so long ago! Timeless classic and it translates well into punk :) ua-cam.com/video/Ai-0_NoNit4/v-deo.html
Thanks a million Tom for the brilliant interview with Mr. Rock N Roll, can hardly wait to hear the new album, Oct. 20/23. Tom, you are a national treasure listen to you every day and find your work so rewarding.
I was never a great fan of the Stones, but I have some of their albums and much of their music is certain classic. I love it that they are still at it. Seems to me that Mick and Paul have real talents in talking and dealing with people. I think it makes a huge difference with a band. He's got a great smile, and face. Without Mick I don't think they'd still be at it because he is a great band leader. Thanks for posting this - it's nice to see.
Fantastic interview 😊♥. Thanks so much for this. Mick is so talented and interesting. Tom did a terrific job of asking intelligent and unpredictable questions that brought out the fascinating character of Mick Jagger. Well done.
Mick seemed much more relaxed and open. Nice to hear him reflect on Brian’s sad passing. 17:30. Love the Stones, but Brian’s always been my fave. Health and happiness Mick.
Most of the interviews I’ve seen with Mick Jagger, it seemed as if he would rather be somewhere else. In this one, he seems really enthusiastic and into it. Great to see and listen to.
This is a great damn interview! I am new to Tom Power, but he obviously has enough experience to relax and chat with Mick Jagger about things that matter. This is wonderful and rare. I will add you to Rick Beato and one or two others. Mick is in great form for this interview as well. Wonderful.
Mick looks great not only considering his age but that it seems he's had no plastic surgery. The guy can still move on the stage and he's still co producing his records. He mixed Tatoo You pretty much on his own. One of the best Mick Jagger interviews I have seen Tom.
Such a thoughtful interview, Tom! All your prep work paid off! I just want to comment on something related to what Mick said about not wanting to be retro. Over the last 20 or so years I’ve seen a lot of bands that were popular in my youth, including the Stones. (I’m a few years younger than Mick). I really enjoy them still touring! What I truly appreciate about the Stones is that you never get the old age jokes so many other bands seem to thrive on. I would get so tired of these jokes! The Stones just carry on the way they always have. There’s no sadness when you leave their concert. You don’t feel like … oh gosh, wasn’t it great in 1960… and then leave wistfully. No. The Stones still project vitality, relevance, hope for tomorrow. You kind of wonder what will they do next… something to look forward to! Very inspiring!
What a great interview! Tom and Mick were awesome. Could have made that interview twice as long and still would have only scratched the surface of the career of Mick and the Stones.
Yes, you bet, he does his research and is well prepared to bring out the best of his guest. Brian May of Queen stated a great big thank you to Tom for the excellent well thought out questions. Brian was surprised at the high caliber of the questions.
Wonderful interview. And, of course the absolutely marvellous Mick Jagger. Well done Mick, Keith, Ronnie (and Charlie), and thanks also to the other musicians and tech people on this new album. So glad the guys are back and fighting for music and humanity!
Tom Power is an excellent interviewer. And I think a bitta that is because he's a fellow Newfie. He has a certain charm about him, and is able to put the people he's interviewing at ease. Well done, Tom. Newfoundland is proud of you. Mick seems to really enjoy himself here. ❤
In 1976, I bought the "Black and Blue" album, my first new Stones release. I looked at the gatefold and thought "This is what a RnR band should look like". Decades later, Mick is still the coolest guy in any room. Thank you Glimmer Twins!

I think age and improvements in production values have worked wonders for Robert Plant's voice.
, so true Mick is fun to hear, the sound of the Stones plus Mick s voice is magic.
Mick looks his age but people think he looks old because he’s not full of plastic like most other celebrities, etc.
Why the comment on how he looks? That’s a what an 80 year old looks like, especially if one is thin. #ageism
What? Road worn!? Don't think ive seen a better 80 yr old
@@dondamon4669 I have not seen an 80 year old with more energy and liveliness or sharpness, certainly
Mick is the friggin proverbial fountain of youth. Amazing in so many ways.
Yeah but who does his hair? Sherwin Williams
Looks like he is a lucky one, and doesn't need 'paint'!@@cevinwillson9113
@@cevinwillson9113Who cares? It and he looks fabulous at an age when most are barely getting around.
He never judges other music and stays with the times. It’s so amazing that they keep coming out with new music after all these decades. I last saw them on their Voodoo Lounge tour where they not only played their classics but new songs that were so great. I think they are the all time greatest rock n roll band of all time with their longevity, classics and forward releases over all these decades. Hardest working band of all time! There wasn’t a decade of my life where the Stones weren’t a part of my life’s soundtrack.
Easily one of the best Jagger interviews I’ve ever seen… he’s relaxed, open, honest… thanks, Tom!
Mick is a world wonder! So full of life, knowledgeable, vibrant and smart. It is a joy to listen to him and I hope he and guys will be around for some time.
One of the best chats with Mick I've ever seen. Very relaxed. Jealous you got to hear the record already. Great job Tom!
Great interview....Mick is brilliant and it's great to hear the Stones are two thirds through another album.
What a great interview. Congratulations Tom, you did lots of prep for this and it shows as you've brought out many things we all wanted to know!
Canadian proud of Tom Power and his interviewing skills and shout out to Stephanie Horak at Universal for making this unfold so perfectly😘
Canada proud of Tommy? Naaaaaaaaah
The best frontman in rock and roll history. Always a legend.
And the best rock singer. It's time he got credit as the best rock vocalist ever.
Hell yes , a lot of copy cats, New York Dolls Aerosmith Inxs even Prince copied some of Jaggers moves.
❤SOOOO GOOD!
Love to listen to Mick Jagger talk about his life . The interview was great. Thank you for asking all the pertinent questions.
Fabulous interview with Mick , we are so lucky to have these brilliant musicians in our lives ….. good news that this new album will be followed up with further material .
Hello Paul 👋
Mick Jagger has been an idol for most of my life . His musicality, ability as an entertainer and personality eternally engaging.
Great interview. Mick seems a little more relaxed and open than a lot of other interviews I've seen
Mick always keeps his finger on the pulse of what"s going on now in music.
This is the best interview I’ve seen with Mick. Great job by Tom Power. Looking forward to playing the new record
I'm younger than Mick, but I totally relate to what he's saying about how easy it is to find old, rare or obscure songs it is now thanks to the internet. We're spoiled. Even UA-cam seems to have damn near song I've ever searched for. It's great.
So how do you find all those rare songs?
It makes it possible to constantly find songs I hadn't heard before from 30 ,50 , 70 years ago rather than trying to find the rare interesting song that has been recently released. It's very nice to be able to dig into the catalogue of any artist or band and hear things you would have NEVER been able to find before the Internet came into being
Before the internet everyone would have those one or two friends (usually someone with an older brother) who consistently introduced you to non-mainstream and fantastic music. At least that was my experience.
@@brambaas999 the best way is to find a band you like and look up the bands each member was in previously and check out their catalog.
Mick remains wit quick. Paint It Black an all time favourite. Musicians like Mick is the reason music rocks!
Such a great interview!!! One of the best with Mick ever. Well done, Tom, well done CBC!!
Very good interview! Mick Jagger really opened up here and it was nice, relaxed, and in-depth on interesting topics. Thank you!
It is so interesting to hear a man who achieved his life talks so humbly and genuinely. Thank you ✨
Heard the CBC radio version today and came here to listen again. Great interview, nice relaxed vibe. Thank you CBC and Tom Power.
I love it.
I can’t imagine Charlie and Mick talking about antiques, love it
Great interview.
I definitely can. If you ever heard Charlie being interviewed and see Mick behind the scenes, it, makes perfect sense.
I can.
Never seen Jagger this open nicely done... i think he was very comfortable
I love that Mick doesn’t stop talking after he starts talking about Charlie. He really loved him ♥️
Classy Canadian interviewer with English royalty. 🇨🇦 🇬🇧
This interview will be an historic treasure over time.
Great interview, you both seemed very relaxed. A rare interview when the interviewer doesn't seem overwhelmed that they are talking to a living legend.
Amazing interview, mick is notoriously had to interview and you got some really insight..thanks
Huh? He’s a smart guy and always has interesting things to say.
Such an articulate and intelligent frontman, Mick is truly great.
Good job.
This is the BEST mick interview I have watched - thank you!
Great interview. It was so much deeper than just a promo for a new album. Really good job, sir.
Best interview with Mick that I’ve seen in years.
My darling Mick Jagger was in Jamaica where I live 😳 I adore him and would give anything just for a glimpse. He’s a legend 😎😎😎😎🤩
Great work.
Touche.
Totally, the anti-Jimmy Fallon. Great job Tom.
Mick’s great, Tom is lame
@@GEDDY37he always is! He’s so cringy and always has to include himself in the interview. The last two interviews I heard him do, Paul Simon and Robbie Robertson, he said the dumbest things I’ve ever heard someone say.
@@tasha6144 yeah that Tom guy seems a little self-absorbed. The best interviewers out there right now are Joe Rogan and PBD.
I could listen to him talk all day long. He and Keith chatting together? Gold. It's only rock and roll but I like it. 🥰😛
Very Amusing part in Gimmee Shelter .,…
Keith plays interviewer , “ Wat sort of guy are you ‘ Mic Jaggrr.,,,!”
What an amazing life Mick Jagger has had. He gets more wrinkly but never really changes otherwise. It's brilliant. Some people get old in their 40s. He's 80!
Look at this style. Incredible. Articulate. The ultimate Entertainer! For Decades! Everyone knows Mick! From the elite to simple music lovers across the ages! I’ve got to hear Anger” yet. The creative spark is iconic!😊😊
I feel so lucky that Mick & the Stones have been there all my life…they feel like family.
I love Goin Home. It’s so loose and all the sorta improv Mick does. Fan since 1967. Cheers from Montreal
I first heard Paint It, Black in 1981 or '82 when I was just before Kindergarten age, and it blows MY mind that it was so long ago! Timeless classic and it translates well into punk :)

Thanks a million Tom for the brilliant interview with Mr. Rock N Roll, can hardly wait to hear the new album, Oct. 20/23. Tom, you are a national treasure listen to you every day and find your work so rewarding.
I love how laid back but also brilliant he is.
Yes
I don't know if Mick jagger will be on stage aged 90🎶🎶🎤🤓😱🎼🎼🤓🤓🎶🎶🎶😃😃
Well done.
Mick is much less guarded with the press as he’s aged. It’s great to listen to.
Mick seemed much more relaxed and open. Nice to hear him reflect on Brian’s sad passing. 17:30. Love the Stones, but Brian’s always been my fave. Health and happiness Mick.
Thank you 🙏🏻 This AmerICAN 🇺🇸 Lady truly appreciates these Amazing Brits London boys
Wonderful.
Also try Professor of Rock, great interviewer!
Mick looks great not only considering his age but that it seems he's had no plastic surgery. The guy can still move on the stage and he's still co producing his records. He mixed Tatoo You pretty much on his own. One of the best Mick Jagger interviews I have seen Tom.
Don't mention the syrup.
Tom Power never fails. Always the best interviews.
Yes, you bet, he does his research and is well prepared to bring out the best of his guest. Brian May of Queen stated a great big thank you to Tom for the excellent well thought out questions. Brian was surprised at the high caliber of the questions.
Tommy never fails? Naaaaaaaah

Always love the stones, great new song. Love that Jagger still does what he loves. 💕🇨🇦
So impressed that another album is coming out, unbelievable really !
looking forward to it.
Thanks for the likes folks !
In 1976, I bought the "Black and Blue" album, my first new Stones release. I looked at the gatefold and thought "This is what a RnR band should look like".
Decades later, Mick is still the coolest guy in any room.
