Jagger is multi talented. I love the way he plays this character.
So, true!!
Mick's disapproving face is gold.
Who can’t love Mick? He is just so phenomenal!
He's got a very poor quality voice, and he moves around the stage like a clown.

Mick has such a great sense of humour and a smashing personality.
A "smashjng personality"? Do you live in 1950?
@@dfgadfgargargadfg I lived in 1978 and we still said it then. In Australia
Like you know him....?
I've always respected him for being able to laugh at himself.
If Mick had chosen to be a banker, this is how he would look.
I want to say Mick’s degree was finance or something along that line.
@@scsmiff I think he attended the London School of Economics, which is no joke!
Or maybe an insurance salesman?
Well, he did study Economics at college 😁
He is a banker
Hes trying not to break out laughing...love it!!
Hello, how are you doing? It is nice seeing you here.
Having quit watching SNL years and years ago, I admit to missing moments like this where it can still have a glimpse of it's past brilliance. I missed this and it's brilliant. Well done Mick and SNL. This is the kind of skit that you'd see routinely on SNL when it was still great in the late 80s.
If you don't watch it any longer, how do you know how good or bad it is?
@@generalyellor8188 You know. When you have Dan Akroyd and John Belushi through the last of my generation in Dana Carvey and Mike Meyers to live up to, well, everything else just sucks. End of discussion.
well put
"Not Ready for Prime-Time Players" were Great!!! 🎼🎬👏😉
S.N.L. Went "woke" and political and it's NOT funny anymore and hasn't been for some time now.
If your not watching it for comedy and like watching "woke" stuff, then I presume it's a pretty good show then.
This is a humorous statement and it jokingly shows just how great of a performer Mick Jagger really is. One of the best
So funny… the first guy out is hilarious, impressive that Mick kept a straight face throughout!
You're right. How does Mick keep a straight face. He does some acting, I know, but to keep a straight face on live t.v !!!
@@Lynn-rf1kc It was Mick. I saw it live when it aired. Are you speaking of the nerdy insurance guy? That was Mick. Closer than close. A typical sort of skit for the show Saturday Night Live. Trust me. It was Mick.

Mick Jagger cannot blend in like an ordinary person. He was born a star.
Wait a minute, didn't he go into some bar in SC a couple of weeks ago and have a beer without anybody noticing? And I don't guesss he did no karaoke, neither.
@@jezebeljones659 It was in NC and he's shown outside with a cap. Even though the other patron's are not looking at him in the photo, there is no confirmation that no one noticed. Lastly, the picture looks like an album cover, which confirms my point. It would just look like another picture if it was me.
@@VinnyDrysdale Ok, well, good for the N. Carolinians for leaving him alone and giving him space.
Can you be born a star? I mean, isn't it a social construct?
@@gerardodoherty9178 A more accurate term would be star quality or charisma.
This is brilliant! Mick's persona here reminds me just a bit of Moss from IT Crowd, so funny. I could tell he almost laughed a couple times but kept it together. I wonder how many painful karaoke episodes he's had to endure in real life with drunk people destroying his songs, lol. This was great, thanks for posting. Also RIP to our one and only, and forever treasured Charlie Watts.
Yep, sounds like Moss! Nice post.
Think about Mick Jaggar if he couldn’t sing. 💩☠️💩☠️💩☠️☠️

good to see another side of Jagger ... great dry comedic acting, and fun to see him be so self-effacing without cracking up even once ... lol
Great dry comedic acting? It's SNL over the top bullshit which not one person this side of the Atlantic finds funny.

Thank you for posting all these gems ♥ I am always surprised how much fun Mick makes about himself !
Right now is the first time I ever saw this SNL clip. Back in 2000, my late older brother, Charlie, was playing guitar with his band at some club in New England, when Keith Richards showed up and got on stage with him. Way back in the day, I used to sing with my brother's band; one of the tunes was-'Under My Thumb'. My brother Charlie and I saw The Stones perform live back in 1966. Their opening number was-'Under My Thumb'.
Yeah, that's so awesome that you saw the '66 Stones tour
which was their last tour until '69 and the unfortunate events of the last show. They were dumbstruck when they saw the U.S. audiences of '69 because it was the first time that the band played for audiences that were sitting down and actually came to LISTEN to music instead of coming just to scream like f****ng banshees, piss themselves, then pass out or they'd come to fight. I loved when they opened with 'Under My Thumb' but I really dug when they opened with 'Live With Me'. Nice memories brother.
@@thack57 I've seen them twice. In 83 they opened with Under my thumb too. That song has stood the test of time. She's the sweetest... pet in the world.
I doubt it Thomas. (just kidding you were asking for that) Never saw them. My room mate went to see them and Keef got electrocuted. Said Charlie threw his snare at the microphone which was improperly grounded and saved his life. Rest of the show was canceled around 70-72 ish.
@@oatnoid : My earliest childhood friend worked for The Stones on a few of their tours. His name is John, just like yours. My late brother Charlie met Keith Richards on an island in Caribbean back in 1992. He was just sitting there, playing his guitar, when Keith Richards walked up. They found out they lived near each other, so they exchanged phone numbers. He never expected to hear from him, but, lo and behold, when he got home, he got a call from him: "Come over and bring your guitar with you."
My brother Charlie was also a pretty fair drummer, too. I miss him.
@@thack57 : Yep, my brother Charlie and I saw them in '66 (Forest Hills Tennis Stadium, NYC), and Charlie saw them again in '69 (Madison Square Garden, NYC; the 'Get Your Ya-Yas Out' show). The following year, 1970, my brother Charlie played Madison Square Garden himself as guitarist for The Buddy Miles Band (they opened for Ten Years After that night; remember them?). 22 years later, he was on an island in Caribbean, playing his guitar, when Keith Richards walked up to him. They found out they lived near each other, and they exchanged phone numbers; and, lo and behold, when he got home, he got a call from him: "Come on over, and bring your guitar". Charlie virtually lived at his house for most of the 90s. Yep, 'Live With Me'; I was with my brother Charlie when I first heard that song. He was also a pretty fair drummer, too. I miss him.
I thought he'd get up there at the end and show them how it's done. And they would all say "no, that doesn't sound like Jagger at all". Or something like that LOL
Yup! I thought so, too !
me too i was so expecting it lol
I was waiting for it!
Ever since my wife and I first saw this sketch years ago on SNL, I have always referred to Mick Jagger as "Kevin Miller"

How many years ago for god sake ? He already looks 80 in this video.

This was one of my favorite sketches, I also loved Mick in The Californian’s, that was a great episode of SNL,bc of Mick. Fred Armisen does an excellent Mick impression, I don’t know how Mick kept a straight face, he’s such a good actor.

Back in my day, that's a way we separated the good girls from the not. If a young lady preferred The Beatles from The Stones, you brought her home to meet mom and dad. Stones women...well, let's just say panties were more of an option than a requirement.
Hello, how are you doing? It is nice seeing you here.
Love the choreography.... and the ending was delightful...... Rock on Mick and friends. :D
Mick is a good actor... and a good sport.
Very cool and refreshing. Great to see our world-class entertainers such as Mick Jagger kind-of out of their usual element or comfort zone. Man, he is very cool to do this skit!

Are you kidding? I'm a Stones fanatic and that embarrassed me. The guy made his 1st movie in '69 or '70 and made several flicks since then. He was on promoting an album so he had to do it but that was terrible. The concept was funny but they actual skit was bad. Bring back Mad TV. MadTV and 2nd City Television were both much funnier than SNL. However, SNL had the power of NBC/GE/RCA/Universal/Comcast/The White House/ and the dozens of Democratic Congressmen + Senators that NBC owns. Mad TV was only on FOX - which was still a new channel and 2nd City was syndicated out of Canada. SNL never learned how to END A SKIT. Still the worst endings.
Mick has got A LOT more in his box than people realize
