- Smoked Chicken Fingers with Doritos Breading is a new twist on the typical Chicken Finger dinner so many kids like. Instead of just serving the same old Chicken Fingers you can smoke them to get that one of a kind Hickory smoke flavor into the chicken but then you can add your child's favorite chip into the mix by creating the breading out of whatever it is. Im a big fan of Cool ranch Doritos so for these Smoked Chicken Fingers I used Cool Ranch Doritos.
Smoked Chicken Fingers with Doritos Breading is VERY easy. Set up a dredge with seasoned flour.I Seasoned the flour GQue BBQ the rub and then made an egg wash and crumbled up Cool Ranch Doritos. Smoke until the breading is crunchy and at least 165 degrees. I made a dipping sauce with cayenne and Ranch. It's a must when making this as it really adds a lot of flavor.

A very *_TASTY_* general recipe idea that I fired-off in our barrel smoker just yesterday!!!! 👍
Here down S.O.B. we have nice lump *mesquite* charcoal.... PLUS..... oodles of mesquite wood chips, pre-soaked and set atop the coals... 👌
We also fry our own 'chips' from fresh tortillas, spice-um with a combo of powdered guajillo chilis, garlic and finely crushed-n-dried ancho chilis and a dose of American Chili Colorado. *THX* GQue for the welcome "inspiration" for what became some REALLY KILLER Finger Food!!!! 🤪

Jason, what charcoal were you using? Any issues with lighting? I’ve used prime and had issues with lighting it since it was so dense.
Yes it was something that was sent to me. Wouldn't stay lit so switched over to Lump after 2 tries. I had thought maybe it got wet but after reading your comment its clearly the charcoal.
@@Gquebbqco ok. Yeah it’s the charcoal. It’s super dense so it’s extremely hard to light and keep going. I switched back to lump too.
