Dude.... I'm so happy I came across your video! I have been looking for a way to do the switchback turn signals and keep the DRL for a while now. Every video until now has been nothing but a DRL delete. Never thought I'd be able to do it on my 2004 Chevy Silverado. You figured out how to do what I've been wanting to do. Thank you for putting out this video. 👍

I'll be wiring mine to be legal while low. low beams, yellow/yellow sidemarker/turns. On high will be dioded to low, DRL. Dont want the DRLs on in the day so under the fuse box editing the auto circuit to drl relay an adding the diodes there. Next is getting the driving light harnes and adding the high diode there too. high- low, drl, driving.
But I want my white driving lights where my hooks are and yellow fogs in the normal spot.
Thats where I need suggestions on what light to use in place of the hook.

I want to do this with my switchbacks I purchased but mine is a bulb with a harness and resistor built in and a plug and it has 4 wires red and black and white and yellow got to figure out what is what before I can do this but I love the idea

Did you ever try it with the flasher relay? And did you install the resistors you have in your description?
I used a led flasher relay. No issues.

How much offset do you have on your rims and do you ever get pulled over for them sticking out to far?
-44 and no. In Nevada there is no law to my knowledge about how much tire can be exposed.
