hey guys: I'm looking for a 2001+ denali front clip, in black, somewhere close to Utah. Hood, grille, bumper, lights, and all. Let me know if you've got anything!
I had great luck with some cheap DDM HIDs on my 03 Sierra Denali. Later retrofitted Morimoto lenses into the stock Denali housings using an adapter plate.
I just did an Escalade interior swap on my 2000 GMC Sierra, after I did a 4.3L to 6.0L AWD conversion. It's nice how easily it is to swap things around on these trucks.
Love the Denali trim in Ugly Truck...pretty sure thats what I need to find for my rcsb Sierra. Thanks for showing how this upgrades...gives me some more confidence on the electrical side of things.
Love it! I'm a ford f150 guy and turned 2 '97's into one truck. I love seeing these kinds of builds. You do like I do and clean/make everything look new/ factory. Even if it's not the best looking truck. You were my favorite to watch on the TV show too. Too bad your in Utah. I'm in Minnesota. A little far off of a drive for me. Keep up the good content man!
Hey LT! Loving the content as always. Thought I’d drop a tip or maybe opinion that I find coming to mind often. When I watch your videos in particular I always feel like the music added is too loud and needs to be brought down a few db - particularly on transitions where you may be talking or explaining something. Could all be my imagination though! Making the video is as much an art as you working on the truck, and I for one truly appreciate the small details in that!
Man it looks so good. I just did the "big brake" upgrade to 2008-2013, power stop kit from summit today. I think I might go scavenge a Denali or 2 for this build next year. It's a 271k mile truck and it'd be good to feel that "new car" vibe.
Nice work and the interior does look great!! Since those door panels are almost identical you could swap out those speaker grills for the other ones that say bose on them for the fun of it, as you know they are super easy to do. Really enjoy watching your channel and your attention to detail is unreal amazing!! :)
I have the radio you mentioned form eBay “1 factory radio” it’s awesome in my gmt 400 (same radio), I got the one with a CD player, headphone jack and AV wires for amp hook ups NO Bluetooth. The Bluetooth is only for music you can’t use it as a hands free, only the headphone jack hook up works for talking, it comes in perfect and clear, I’ve had mine for 4 years now with no problems. You can get a “work truck” cubby tray form a gmt 400 to replace that 6 disc it fits in a gmt 800 also eBay or Amazon buy.
@@LawrenceTolman yes me to have a 99 suburban, 2000 c2500 ccsb, and a 2000 c3500 cclb only have 1 radio want to get 2 more but there pricy compared to aftermarket radios
I'm going to try to install the dic from the blazer into the overhead console in my gmt400. In the 98, it's supposed to be able to give mpg and all that.
Check junk yards in the older chevy/gmc trucks. They have a pocket that if I recall mounts up like that cd changer. I normally pull all my cd players out because I swap over to aftermarket head units and replace the cd unit with thr pocket
Man, I really shouldn't have watched this video. Now I HAVE to have this DIC for my 02 Silverado, and I also need to replace the jumpseat with a console for the rear AC. I had no idea that was a thing for the early extended cabs.
The update was very good for you, it is an impeccable job in my opinion, for this reason I have decided to install the DIC in my truck, I just acquired it today, but the display does not have the connector or cables. Could you please tell me where I could get this connector? In the same way, I would ask you for support if you could provide me with a diagram indicating the connections of the DIC in the electrical system, I know that in your video you explain it on the blackboard, but I would be very grateful if you could provide me with a printed copy. I thank you in advance for your comments and again my congratulations for your work. Regards,
I much prefer the cloth manual seats to leather power. My sister has a Tahoe with the leather seats and whenever i drive it it feels like I’m slipping out the seat, also it gets hot in the summer. Great work, keep it up👍
I just found your channel and I couldn’t figure out why you looked so familiar finally realized you’re LT! Used to love watching those shows on Saturday mornings
Good job LT. I could never find the schematic for that DIC. I think I had part of it but nobody had confirmed if it worked or not. I plan on purchasing one eventually and mounting it in the cubby in the overhead console since I have the 2003-2007 console in my 99. When you do replace the lights please post a video on that as well! I have blue LEDs in all the switches and would have to switch those ones too haha! Thanks for the content Edit: My vote is definitely add the leather seats and look for a backseat later. The heated seats rock. Also did you get the shifter out of the Denali? It is leather wrapped and kinda cool. I have one from an Escalade.
the shifter that was in the denali was kinda beat up, and not even sure it was a good leather one, so I left it. Also left the steering wheel since it was the lighter cream color, and I prefer the darker steering wheel
Great video, very informative. Quick question, I have a 2001 silverado and I am trying to convert the switches on the doors (windows and locks) to the 03-06 style. Do you have the pinout and color codes for the 03-06 switch wiring? Thanks in advance.
You should try to add the aux plug yourself to your bose radio! There are numerous tutorials to add the aux plug and you don't need to be good in electronics to do this mod. I did it on two delco radios on my old Sierra and it went great! Would make a good video too!
Love it! The details make a difference. I can't wait for the stepside muscle truck. I'm interested if the stepside bed weighs less than the regular bed of the same length.
The stepside reg cab shortbox is the lightest truck on this platform. The outer bed bits are fiberglass. I think actual weight is around 4800lbs?... Dont quote me on that. But that figure is stuck in my head for some reason.
I have had good luck with 303 aerospace protectant on the dash and interior. It is not very shiny and has good uv protection which is more of an issue here at high altitude in Colorado and I would think for you in Utah as well.
Awesome video! Was really hoping you tackled the powered seats. I have manual seats I’m also converted to powerd/htd and coulda definitely used guidance on approach!!
I had a 02cc with the middle console (not Denali), never liked it. I now am working on a 00 with the 40,20,40 front and I like I much more. Idk why, but it feels more like a truck. I did buy the flip out cup holder from the bay and i feel like when it's extended it does everything a dedicated center does when you want it. Replaced 2 of the 3 "cig lighters" with a 3.0 USB to my double din and a Amazon dual 3.0 \ volt meter.
Great video, love all the mods you're doing on the two chevy's, now you're giving me more ideas to do👍. I have a 2000 chevy silverado 3 door stepside Z71 that I'm doing some mods to.. Installed a double din radio with reverse and front cameras and Bluetooth, all interior LED lights, Installed door mirrors with turn signals (wired to body control module) heated ( by adding a relay in fuse box under the hood and changing the a/c controller to one with the rear defroster just plug and play) and puddle lights that i cannot figure how to wire them, tried wiring them to the door courtesy light, but they stay on all the time, any help would be greatly appreciated. ✌
Have you found the DIC to be accurate in measuring the fuel economy? I think I’ll throw one in my 2002 on the overhead console, but if it’s not at all accurate it probably wouldn’t be worth the trouble
Hey LT I’m doing the same swap on mine but I went with an Escalade console. I wanted to see if you were able to get a little better video of how you wired up the DIC. I know you have the colors and pins posted but wanted to see if you have how you ran your wires and actually made the connections thanks truck is looking awesome by the way
I just found your channel while looking for this exact video! Im just curious if the DIC worked out or if there was anything else you had to sort out later on? I am looking to add one to my 2000 Sierra 1500 as well.
I think I would just do the correct full Denali swap...seats,panels,etc. Find a rear leather bench. I have slight back issues and really love using heated seats to loosen up abit...that is probably why Im thinking that direction 😅
Great idea 👍🏼👍🏼 I'm absolutely loving the big block route. I'm just tired of looking at and hearing others talk about LS motors 🤔. Yes they can exceed 1500hp but.... Not something that's going to last. Aftermarket big blocks are hovering around the 3000hp mark maxed out. Better parts, beefier construction, big block!

Hey LT i have a question for you. Did they ever make this style of console with rear vents? Im wanting to swap one into my cc 06 slt but the stock console has the vents and i would really like to retain. Thanks
Throw those cup holders and all the small plastic parts in the dishwasher when the Mrs isn’t looking. Easiest way to get all the spilled soda and gunk out of those cracks and crevices.
