Glad to see the Tahoe back. This tahoe is actually the main reason I just bought my 03 Tahoe.
I have an '03 Tahoe, 2wd, with the tow package which includes the dual piston calipers in the rear. I love it. I think it's about to get a 6.0 swap. It doesn't tow as well as I'd like. The 190k mile 5.3 is starting to show its age.
@@91sonomast1 I just plan to pull my little foxbody to the track, so hopefully it does half way decent.
Inspect the brake lines for rust and corrosion please.

You nailed it with this one, I totally put on my fog lights whenever I get in at night, but always wished they would come on automatic! Thanks for making this video! :)
There is a module called 'All Lights On' by Fleece Performance which will turn on fog lights and low beams any time you use your high beams. Lets you still control your fog lights when not using high beams which is nice. Super easy to install too, just sits under the relays in the fuse box.
He has to already have it since his low beam didn't turn off when he turned his highs on
I run this, it works awesome. High beam setting is next level.
It's called a .03 Zener Diode.
Only works on 2003-2006 not for the 2000-2002
Add a ground from the LOW BEAM headlight harness to chassis and the low beams and high beams will stay on when high beams are on. The low beam ground is cut when the high beam are turned on, adding the extra ground allows them to stay on.
Or you could just get a fleece chip from amazon and avoid any wire splicing what so ever.

You can get a diode that's like $0.10 and put it between the high and low in the fuse box. Takes less than a minute 🤷♂️
Just got my charging pad, now I'll have to order this! I also put a bottle cap over the light sensor on my dash so my lights come on as soon as I start my truck. I Painted it grey so it blends & you don't even notice it. Works great.

love the tahoe videos because i own a 2004 cadillac escalade esv. because of the channel i upgraded my key fob and bought a cadillac emblem key on ebay to go with it. couldn’t believe how easy the setup was in the video. my wife always forgets to where the button is to turn on the fog lights. this will help. can’t beat the price, instructional video and never having to worry if my fog lights are on. keep the tahoe upgrades videos coming. thanx matt!

This is absolutely great. My Camry has the fog lights on a toggle switch as opposed to a button, so I can just leave the fog lights in the on position and they'll come on with the auto headlights, but if I get into, for example, my dad's newer Silverado, it has the same issue as the Tahoe here and I'll realize that my fog lights aren't on after driving for 10 minutes or so. I personally couldn't really see myself driving without the fog lights on as well, they enhance the near vision a lot and I really like that.
Thanks for all the good content. I just bought a extremely clean 2002 Tahoe from my neighbor. 140,000 miles. Driven easy by a lady that had no children. Garage kept Arizona car.

Not sure if you'd be interested, but Fleece performance has a 6 high mod. When you turn the high beams on--your low beams and fogs all stay on. It's just a drop in/plug in inside your underhood fuse box. So all 6 lights are on at once.

I got all excited with I saw the Fleece mod but my truck is an '02 and the board doesn't work because the fuse relays are completely different. Busted by bubble!!
The Tahoe has come along way Matt.its awesome.i did a lot of work to a 02 suburban that I wish I kept.

Okay Matt, I ordered and installed the AUXBEAM LED high and low beam headlights you had on the other Tahoe video. What a difference, even with cleaned up OEM housings. You say you have LED's in your fog light housings and I can tell when you turned them on. You had said you were going to wait on those until you found LED's that fit the stock housing. I take it you did find some and if so , what did you get? Thanks, Paul.
I like being able to turn fog lights on when am ready .Sometimes I like to roll with my marker lights on and fog lights only thanks for the scoop.
Okay Matt, I went and ordered and installed the AUXBEAM LED headlights that you had on the other video. Major difference! You said you were going to wait on some LED's that actually fit the foglight housings since the AUXBEAMS didn't. Have you since found some that fit? Thanks, Paul.

I love Tahiti, question tho, since the fog lights are bright white wouldnt they be a problem to use in actual fog ? and how do you turn them off if it makes the visibility worse in foggy conditions ?
Look into the All Lights On module. Not sure if you have one in or not, saw your lows on with your highs, were you "flashing to pass" when you showed that? Nice to see the Tahoe back!
Just found your channel. My wife and I have the exact same 2004 tahoe same color and all. Our fog lights are rectangle though?
Have you thought about doing a front end conversion to the 03-07 classic Silverado? I think it would look really good. I never really liked the Tahoe/suburban front ends from those years or the Silverado front end before 03. Might be a fun project. I know people do it all the time on Silverado without the cat eye look already. Apparently in Mexico they actually put the cat eye front end on the tahoes and suburbans for those years from the factory.
Did you have any problems putting led in the interior lights? I installed mine and at first both dome and map light work but after 20 min the map won’t work. As soon as I take out the led map lights and reinstall the old it ones it works then I put the led in and it works for 10-20 min

After install, does the fog light indicator light by the button light up? Confirming fog lights are on inside the cab?
Would this work on 02 Chevrolet Tahoe LS ? Please let me know, I would love to do this with my Tahoe. Also it look like your low beam and hi beam work together. When I turn on my Hi beam lights, my low beam turn off. I would love to have them work together. Please let me know if this is possible.

Fleece performance has a chip you put in the fuse box under the hood real simple to do its like 20 30 bucks

Get the FLEECE 6 HI chip, it turns on the high beams low beams and the fog lights when you high beams are engaged
You should put switchback leds in for the turn signal. I have that on my suburban

i miss my 04 tagoe for sure. there has been a mod for that using diodes in ther fuse panel under the hood along with one where when u turn ur high beams on the fogs stay lit as well. way more easy not half that amout of work. but this is pretty cool too.
I did that mod on my 2014 Yukon. Easy install.

How can you wire your driving lights to come on with your high beams. Is or to stay on when you turn your high beams on
When I did my hi low conversion, I have just low beams on low. Then when I hit my high beams... all 8 of my lights will run, high low fog, and daytime driving lights. It saved me from hitting a bear one night coming down curvy road in mountains

There is a much easier way to do this by using resistors in the fuse box under the hood, there’s a lot of forums about it and you can customize the headlights to come on however you want. 6 high 4 high auto fog lights on drls on with low beams etc. And it’s reversible by removing the resistors from the different relays if you decide to change your mind.

Is a useful mod if you don't care about incoming traffic. Having high intensity led bulbs on your foglights without any option to turn them off is very very blinding..
I would suggest headlights with projectors or projector retrofit + xenon and you should have plenty of light without fogs
I found a circuit board plate that fits this vehicle on Amazon and it is a six high mod. All lights come on high, low and fog lights! It is the cats meow for twenty bucks. You pull a few relays on the fuse box drop this in plug everything back in and done. The think I really like about it is as an electrical no getting into any wires!

Im surprised you dont have the fleece chip mod. Lets you have all lights on when your high beams are on.
It did have high and lows on when highs were on so he must have already done that because it's usually not like that

Can this be done with a simple jumper wire? I assume there is a diode in this jumper. Is that necessary? Or is it done to justify a $25 jumper? Anybody know the deal?

Its looks great. Get the 6 high as well. So when you high beam comes on all your lights will be one. Pretty simple install as well. Amzon has it

@@ronwashington5339 its called 6 high mod. However once u turn your lights on daytime running will turn off automatically. 6 high is when u turn high beam on all your lights stay on even fog Lights.
Size of the tires?
Next you need to do the 4 high mod. This way your low beams stay on with your high beams. I did a Morimoto mini H1 projector retrofit in my 2003 Tahoe so the 4 high has to be done to utilize the high beam projectors. So much more light it's insane with 4 high beams, and 2 of them being HID projectors, which are better than any drop in HID bulb in to stock housing.

@@lsXmatt there is a very simple way to do it. It involves a $.75 diode. I actually may have an extra. I think I had to buy 3. Now, if I can find it is another story, but I think I know where it is. You just jump it from one pin of the low beam relay to a pin on the high beam relay. They make harnesses and crap that are $50+, which is fine. My $.75 Radio Shack diode has been rocking it out for 5 years. And if I can find it, I'll hit you up for an address if you want it.

Where did you get the led lights? From a previous video I thought they didn’t fit? I have an 05 Tahoe z71 and would like to do this mod. Can you manually shut off the fog lights separate if the headlights still?
The headlights and highbeams are from auxbeam. The foglights are the same ones I installed a while back from amazon.
Also you can’t turn the foglights off alone with this mod. They pretty much function as an extension of the headlights.
