I was there, in the pit on the floor. Age 22. First of 7 tool shows. I got my nose broken, about 15 minutes in. I've never seen justice delivered by strangers so swiftly in my life. ( I'm a very small gal, it was unnecessary roughness ) It was such an amazing experience, I rocked out the rest of the show. And every show after, I was down there. And those pits were the safest ones for me, every time after. No issues. No rudeness. Just very high vibes. What a night to remember. I think it was the best of all the shows I went to.
Must have been an amazing experience. I can’t wait to take my 13yo Son, 14yo Daughter, and my Wife to the Dallas concert on 2/2/24. The date itself will make it a mathematically perfect day for them to witness their perfectly crafted mathematical music.
Took my kids to their first Tool concert as mentioned earlier. They were in awe and very happy. Before it even started we were in our seats when my Son said ‘This is freaking awesome that I got to skip school for my first concert, and it’s Tool’. He wears a Tool hoodie to school daily now. Half way through it my Daughter looked me in the eye and said ‘Daddy I love this, I’m really loving this’, I agreed. She’s also seen Puscifer live with her Mom and I. It’s a good time to be alive.
I was also there, on the floor at age 19... my first of 8 TooL shows... the best one is always your first! So grateful for this vid! I remember the airiealists vividly. The Reverend's messaga at 1:38:50 brought a tear to my eye, just 5 days before our whole world changed forever. Still riding the spiral.
I was at this show as well- although I prefer the one where they opened with Third Eye (because its my favorite Tool song), this was also an amazing show!
This was my first TOOL show also. Blown away, my friend and I were looking at each other like Beavis and Butthead! Unreal show and only a few days later 9/11 happened :(
I feel like his guitar people actually hindered his voice going forward.... i just want to hear his voice and a basic beat, not all the guitar... sad... and that was the type of environment they grew up around and the singer couldn't even tell them otherwise because he woulda got a lot of shit for it

Seeing a band like Tool for your first show ever, sets such a huge standard for shows after haha.
