I'd love to have been there.. those visuals have me tripping right now and since I'm on Home Detention I can't get high right now... But Live TOOL makes me feel high
I was taking a trip also whilst at the Tool concert in Tulsa, it was literaly like they opened up another dimension, the sound was so perfect it sounded like it was from out of this world. Maynards voice on Contagion was trippy as shit, he had to of been using a special effect that altered his voice, but thats the thing, it sounded higher pitched than usual, and it sounded natural, almost as if that was his real voice, without going down a rabbit hole, literally another dimension, the sound was just so pure sounding and loud!
The way Maynard isn't front and center shows his humility. Tool is about the band as a whole, not one person. He voluntarily takes a back seat to Adam, Danny, and Justin. His roll is as important, but not more important.
I was 11th row on the floor here tripping my ballz completely off on shrooms. Felt like I was on stage with them the entire show and the bass was my heartbeat. Incredible night
Sshhh. Fing Aayyyy, huh? We'd go see the Who or J. Geils or the Stones and try to verbally convey the energy of the show unsuccessfully forever. This is awesome.
Thanks for recording it! I was so lost in the performance that I didn't record a single thing... But you helped me immortalize my 21st birthday present, and I cannot appreciate that enough! Hopefully you enjoyed the performance as much as I did! I wanted to include yours in specific because I was actually up near where that angle was from, just further left near the other entrance/exit; Its as close as I can get to seeing where I was again without having to remember.
@@Chauzza no problem bud! I was so excited to see the show but was sad when it ended, this video definitely let me re-experience the show again, and it's even better to see you used my clip!
Nice job, I was on row 11 on the floor and it was amazing. StL show had audio issues a few days later, maybe it was just where we sat but it sounded real bad. KC sounded amazing.
Nice work putting this together. Audio is lacking bass but it's clean and clear enough and can be boosted with equalisers at our end. Great job sourcing and recording video footage you've grabbed some great memories that will be very much appreciated by many viewers including me right now. Cheers and bring on the next tour legs!
FEAR INOCCULOM IS PURE FKNG GENIUS & ITS BEYOND BADASSS THOSE THAT DONT LIKE IT ARE SKIDMARKS IN EDNAS UNDERPANTS & IMMATURE JAGOFFS THAT KNOW NOTHING😂
I think half of the people who didn't like Fear Inoculum listened to it once with 13 years worth of pent up expectations and when it failed to be the magical Tool album they'd conceived of in their imaginations, they got negative instead of going back to it a couple of times. I was a bit bummed my first listen as well, but now that it's had time to sit with me it might even be my favorite.
The resolution went to 480 after the screen mesh went down, what happened? Kept waiting for next cam to reset to clean video. This is pro level cam work, thanks!
The quality of the footage unfortunately fluctuates throughout the video due to the fact that I had to reconstruct the events of that performance with various recordings I could find online. So some footage is going to look better than the other recordings you see in the video and there's nothing I could do about it sadly. I did the best I could. This also means that I had to substitute certain songs with footage of other performances by TOOL and do my best to align the footage with the audio from the Kansas City performance. (I marked down in the description which songs had real footage and which ones had reconstructed footage.) However I would only use footage from other performances that would be identical to their performance in KC, so that the reconstruction is as close to flawless as it can possibly be. (I.e. What they displayed on the big screen needed to be the exact same as what they displayed in KC).
If you do not like fear inoculum.................You do not love Maynard................I have seen tool live 5 times from.........angry to now.................nuff said all HAIL MAYNARD
I think the main reason is that "The Pot" is played live now in a completely different tuning. Every part is played noticeably in a lower tuning, and Maynard is singing in a lower pitch as well on top of that. I bet the reason for that is that The Pot is sang in a lot of his higher register, and that only gets harder to maintain with age. I highly recommend some of TOOL's early 2000's shows. I believe that to be Maynard in his prime in my opinion, and he sounds almost exactly like how he did on the albums. Modern Tool definitely has a different vibe though, but I don't think he sounded bad in this show at all.

I was tripping balls at this concert so good
First time I'd ever done it at live music. I was peaking when Sober started and shook the arena with that insane low end.
I'd love to have been there.. those visuals have me tripping right now and since I'm on Home Detention I can't get high right now... But Live TOOL makes me feel high
Man I can’t trip anymore. I get super paranoid and get hardcore anxiety and paranoia. I used to not.
Same, but I saw them in Tulsa on the same tour just before this. It was fucking glorious.

Thanks for that!! Soooo good!! Just relived the Perth gig in 2020.. I'd do anything to get back in that pit 😍😍

Brilliant work here. I can’t imagine how many hours it took you to put this all together. Well done and thank you.
Imagine a giant alien ship drum stage, with Dany Carey in the craft slowly descending and ascending while descending was playing.😮
This is EPIC. Thank you!
THANKS so much
holy shit I didn't think this was even possible

:)
But the sound quality of a live performance is incredible. Good job!
Yeah, incredible job putting this video together! 🔥🔥🔥🔥❤️
This is my favorite video so far, impassioned singing by Mr Hewson and stunning, hypnotic presentation.
Glad to see my footage in 1:55:34

Fuck yes 🤘

whats the song called playing at 7.00 min into this video
fear inoculum
Somebody knows what song is in 28 minute?
pushit!
Sounds like someone is singing backup vocals on descending, anyone else here that? Who and how and why?
Yeah I heard it too in person. 99% sure its some funky filter they had over Maynard's voice for that song.
Aye: call the Danny Carey song Chocolate Chip Trip Merkaba 🎉

The vocals suck live.
😊l😊😊
I don't need to see anything
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Honestly Maynard’s vocals are not very good live. He sounds like a completely different person on “the pot.” 😢
I really think it had more to do with poor mic mixing and poor acoustics in the venue than with MJK himself.
