1 lb salmon fresh
1/4 cup green bell peppers
1/4 cup red bell peppers
1/4 cup onion
2 tbsp green onions
1 tbsp garlic finely chopped
1/4 cup mayo or sub with greek yogurt, sour cream, or egg
4 drops of Worcestershire sauce
No-Salt Cajun Seasoning to taste (Cooking With Tammy brand)
Seafood seasoning to taste (Cooking With Tammy brand)
salt to taste
ground black pepper to taste
onion powder to taste
paprika to taste
Old Bay to taste
Italian bread crumbs for binding/coating
lemon wedges garnish
Saute bell peppers, onions, and garlic.
Reserve veggies until cool.
Cut the salmon into mini bite-size pieces, and add to a bowl.
Add the veggies to the salmon, and season the salmon with onion powder, paprika, Old Bay, no-salt Cajun Seasonings, black pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and salt if necessary.
Add mayo or binding substitute and combine.
Add just enough bread crumbs to the salmon mixture.
Chill for an hour to allow the mixture to set and slightly harden.
Mold the patties and lightly coat them with breadcrumbs.
Add oil to a skillet and fry until brown on each side.
Serve with your favorite side dish.
Creamy Dill Sauce
1/4 cup mayo
2 1/2 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp dill paste or fresh dill
pinch of salt

Great technique for removing the skin, I’ll be using it. Your comments about “you don’t need measurements for seasoning all the time,” was great advice. No eggs as a binder, interesting. Great job, well done.

I can't eat gluten so can I use gluten free crumbs,?
Davia, I buy gluten free bread, toast it, and blend it up in the food processor or blender and there you go! I freeze my ends of the bread to use for bread crumbs too.

With all those seasoning do you get the taste of the salmon i am from the south and my family never use all that in salmon patties
Of course u do, u get a well flavored salmon croquette without doing to much. The flavors are not overpowering or overwhelming it’s just perfect.

This would be much better (and healthier) with wild caught salmon instead of farmed salmon.
I don't like you. Lol. I'm kidding. I just bought 15 cans of salmon to make this on multiple cook days. Oh and it was delicious but I added the white gravy to it. I will not blame you for my weight gain. That's my fault. But? Oh my goodness. And my leftovers go too much two pups.

All of the seasonings that you used have sodium in it. You OVER salted your food. Very unhealthy.
