Been watching Jenny since she started cooking shows I'm an 84-year-old black woman and baby I have learned tons from this girl and I know how to cook but a lot of it comes from Jenny God bless you dear❤🎉
This is my first time watching “Jenny.” Not only are her recipes wonderful, but she gives measurements and simple tips on mixing, using spatulas and easy techniques in the kitchen. I love her delicious recipes without using a lot of dirty bowls. I’m a one bowl cook and Jenny is now my go to for recipes. I love her cute wit with a little “spice” in her chat.
I'm a single man with a bachelor pad. This woman has actually taught me how to cook for myself and every recipe came out nice.. no bull I love this woman ❤
Screw the jealous competitors who give her thumbs downs!! Jenny's successful bc she is so sincere. Loves her calling in life, loves her followers, knows we like fast, easy recipes. Shes someone we'd all enjoy as a good friend or neighbor, and that's exactly how she talks to us.
Wow, I just made those salmon patties! I added a bit of chopped celery stick, 2 thai bird chilis, salt and pepper and sauteed it at first though - together with the onion and red pepper, and let it cool down before mixing it in with the salmon, the bread crumbs, the parsley plus salt and pepper! They turned out delicious. Thank you very much for this simple, quick, but awesome recipe...definitely a keeper! 😃😋
I add celery, see benefits of celery. and i also put my patties in egg and flour before frying them for a crispier patty. (Plus i cook my veggie prior to mixing in EEO..) Chives, bell pepper, onion, celery. thanks. Jenny.:)
I made these last night and they were perfect (although I did lightly saute the red pepper and onion and let it cool before adding it to the salmon and parsley). Two minutes each side was exactly correct. I served it with a light cucumber and golden balsamic vinegar salad along with piping hot garlic green beans. What a fabulous dinner.
Jenny, I can't believe I found you. I loved your show. Love your personality. Wonderful to see you & to hear your voice. I know your voice/laugh anywhere. I love you Jenny.
Thanx Jenny for this amazing recipe! I added green chives instead of white onions and used red and yellow peppers for color and flavor, plus Himalayan sea salt, black pepper and onion powder... it's such a hit EVERTIME i make it... thanx for making me a star at family gatherings! 💝

+Jenny Can Cook ..Hello Jenny. I wanted to make salmon patties for dinner, and remembered you had a recipe which I haven't tried, but didn't write it down, so here I am. I don't know if I want to leave the bones in though, kind a freaks me out ..(()).. I think I will add some minced garlic in though. I noticed you didn't add salt or pepper, is there a reason why? Had them with Cocktail sauce, Coriander cilantro chutney & Mandarin oranges & a bowl of home made chicken noodle soup. What a meal for a damp rainy day. LOL @Eyeballs :D
Canned salmon - No eyeballs ! I could just watch your cooking videos for your sense of humor (I want to make salmon patties so I clicked on this one but may just watch them all now). I used to watch you on TV back in the 80's (?). I was surprised to see you making cooking videos last year. I'm not surprised how many subscribers you have. You're such a sweetheart.
2022 and I just rewatched this video. I've made these several times in the last 5 years. I had forgotten where I got the recipe from but when I watch this today I realized that I got it from Jenny. This is the exact recipe that I use. They are good. And no eyeballs in the canned salmon.
I told my sons that with the high costs of food prices we are now stocking up for the summer/winter with non perishables items, canned foods, dry milk, and canned veggies. I am so thankful for this presentation because we have canned salmon and I didn't know how to make this. Thank you, so much for sharing! I really appreciate it.....

For a nice twist to this recipe add a handful of grated cheddar cheese in the mixture, form the patties, dust them in flour, fry slowly in melted butter. I then make a white sauce (hillbilly gravy) mixed with peas to top the patties with.... Then, send yourself to the moon. I am a salmon fisherman and like to cook. As kids, we used to fight over the skin. And my father loved to eat the bones! No waste in our household. lol And this is exactly my mom's recipe, minus the red pepper.
I also added garlic, ginger, lemon juice and Sriracha sauce and I topped it with vegan caviar (from IKEA). Delicious and very pretty. Served it with horseradish cream.
Jenny is a delight -- always! Great easy and practical recipe. Love the saucy banter. Adds a little extra spice to Jenny's videos. I love clever women who know how to get and keep your attention.
Thank you Jenny so much for this delicious-looking easy recipe❤ I'm somewhat disabled now at this stage of my life at 63 and easy recipes with few items are so useful! I'm going to go in there right now and make some delicious salmon patties😊
I kept saying to myself she looks just like Jenny Jones! But Jenny is more pretty. Here you are!!!! Oh how I grew up a lil black boy from Brooklyn sitting with my grandmother watching the Jenny Jones show, totally lost as to what was going on! Miss Jones you rock!!!!!
I found this recipe quite a while ago. Loved it. I still make it periodically. I make the amounts Jenny suggests. I tried doubling the recipe, but it really tastes the best when it’s freshly made. I also never seem to have a pepper on hand, so I use celery. Tastes great. Chop everything real tiny so it can hold together nicely.
I love salmon patties, can'twait to try your recipe. I've made them with minced onion, egg and crushed saltine crackers. If there are ever leftovers they are good cold the next day. I lived in Alaska for a few years. A neighbor caught a salmon and gave us some, was very good.
For some reason this showed up on my "Recommendations." I buy the frozen salmon patties at Costco, but like handmade ones better. Thanks for the recipe Jenny, and I am so happy to see you again!! I can't wait to try it!

Great recipe, great to see it done. Thanks, Jenny! I finally had time to go buy canned salmon and try this recipe. Aldi's has tall cans, so I decided to double the recipe...and then decided to use two cans, so it was a 4x recipe. Glad I did it, because of the 14 patties I cooked, I ate four! Be forewarned, though, if you use that brand, that there are bones---spinal bones that you may want to remove along with the skin. As I formed them, I put my patties onto paper towels since they felt a bit too moist, and blotted the tops too. Perfect touch.
Always love Jenny’s videos. My Mom made salmon patties( always on a Friday) but called them croquettes). Think I was in my 20’s before I realized salmon patties and salmon croquettes were the same thing lol. Jenny’s Sam & Patty at the end was hilarious.
Thanks for the healthy vision of salmon patties! Oh and using the small size can also as I am cooking for just myself these days and I love salmon patties.
Glad to see you chose the RED salmon. Red salmon is far superior for this dish. Most folks choose the pink salmon because of the cost. Love all your recipes and videos. They are always made with the highest quality ingredients and healthy approaches without sacrificing flavor. I now stream them not only on my PC but also now my television with my ROKU.
You couldn't have started my new year off more better, me thinks. Fat free salmon and the perfect fish oil for cognitive nutrition throughout the year. The only thing I do different is use regular bread crumbs, not whole wheat. Whole wheat adds it's own flavor.
I leave the skin and most of the bones in the patties, but I use the spine bones, juice, and a tablespoon of salmon in salmon soup. Nothing goes to waste!
LOL Sam and Patty LOL 😆😂😆!!! You still have the Wit you had back in the day Jenny Jones!!! So great full I found your cooking videos. God Bless You and Your Family!!!

Oh Thank God, I was about to give this video a dislike but you actually said to keep the bones in! Bravo Jenny! That's exactly the traditional way to prepare salmon patties! My mom made them the exact same way and I would never accept them any other way!!
I like to use ritz crackers in my salmon patties. The buttery flavor of the cracker is really good. And i use a cookid e dough scooper so they are bite sized.
Pretty good and easy. I added just a little lemon juice and red pepper. I cooked them in butter and learned to cook at lower tempurature. I get frozen salmon and pre cook it instead of the canned stuff.
Jenny...thanks deeply for sharing this absolutely life-giving receipe with Humanity!!!! You rock!!! I love your sense of humour....your story about seeing the fish eyes....was way toooooo funny!!! Plz nourish your heart and soul......always sweet Precious Soul!!!!
Looks good. I’m on day 38 of my “no grocery store challenge “. I happen to have a can of Demming,s wild caught Alaskan pink salmon. I got dried homemade bread wheat bread crumbs. I could spare one of my 4 eggs for this lol. I love onions but I gotta save my 1/2 onion for my bean soup I’m making tomorrow. But my chives are up and growing. I’m doing this personal challenge for the residents in the nursing home I work in. Soon as I use up stuff in the freezer like the ham bone broth...for the bean soup and other stuff, I’ll make some salmon patties. Don’t worry I still got lots of food. And Jo can cook too. I love your channel Jenny! You are so upbeat and healthy the food up. I always say, you can eat anything you want, just healthy it up. Hope you’re staying safe. God Bless
Me too! Saltines in the processor, and sometimes I add a little cream of celery soup to the mix which is really good, a little turmeric (very good for you) for brighter color and a little lemon juice. I use a LITTLE light olive oil with a bit of butter which is better for you, than all that oil she has in the skillet, or I bake them, covering the patties with the cream of celery soup mixed with a little mayonnaise. Delicious and bit less caloric!
Egg 7 or 8 saltiness 1 can salmon, Chicken of the Sea, 14.75 ounces, remove skin, squish bones and leave in Melt 1 stick butter, cool to touch Form salmon patties into desired shape, 5-6 Dip & roll into butter. Place on baking sheet. Bake 20 -25 minutes.

Kim Davis .Can you substitute salmon with canned tuna.....where I am canned salmon is so so pricey....!!! Pls respond.....! tq
@@shirleycameron7718 Did you get an answer about using tuna instead of salmon?
@@shirleycameron7718 Yes, I do that all the time. You can do that with almost any fish that can be chopped like salmon or tuna.
@@padmepadme VERY TRUE. YOU COULD EVEN MAKE A SHARK PATTIES !
@@ammo8713 Big chuckle here! But, yet, so true. If it can be chopped, I'm thinking it can become a patty!! N'est pas?
Too cute. Try the patties with a mayonnaise-horseradish sauce. Truly to die for.
Oh my gosh, like seeing and old friend! You're awesome and haven't changed one bit in years. Who knew you could cook as well? Made my day.
Love not only your recipes but your sense of humor is a scream!!!
God Bless
My partner and I are new subscribers and completely obsessed with your channel!
I use cracker crumbs instead of bread and add a little butter when fry.
Egg
7 or 8 saltiness
1 can salmon, Chicken of the Sea, 14.75 ounces, remove skin, squish bones and leave in
Melt 1 stick butter, cool to touch
Form salmon patties into desired shape,
5-6
Dip & roll into butter.
Place on baking sheet.
Bake 20 -25 minutes.
If you're processing the bread like that, no need to remove crust
Sue Hess Exactly!
Exactly what I am thinking as well. Why not just use the whole slice of bread.
Tina Butterfly The processor would’ve soften it, so no. That’s not it.
I was thinking the same thing lol lol.
I never thought 20 years later is be watching jenny Jones teaching me how to cook.
With your clothes on! Hahaha
