Just a little tip for next time. If you remove that tool tray (the thing that sits above the light) and the center support it makes it a heck of a lot easier to take the engine out with only having to undo like Six Bullets.
Yeah we wanted to remove the core support but ours was spot-welded in and we didn't want to cut it. I'm not sure what year they started welding them in but I know you can definitely just unbolt the core support on the earlier 240's. It wouldn't have been so difficult if the hoist wasn't working due to the 10 degree weather.
@@ClappedOutGarage I'm doing the same, and I just drilled out the spot welds. For a nice finish, I'll fit bolts with washers when I put it back together.
Love the vids man hella good content

Music detracts from film.
what is the background music?
can you drop these out from the bottom? I have a restored 242, and I don't want to risk damaging finishes pulling out from the top!
nice
Could you disconnect the trans from the engine? And remove them one at a time?
You absolutely can, but since we installed a manual transmission and a different engine we just did it all at once. It's easier to do all at once.
