  • How to Forgive Yourself. Have you ever made a mistake and can't forgive yourself for it? In this video Jason speaks about why people make mistakes and that they are necessary in life in order to gain wisdom. He speaks about how to wiggle free of the suffering caused by improper thinking and improper identification, and how to move forward with a new perspective on life.

    It's kind of painful to hear that if we try to avoid making mistakes, we will be avoiding life. I just find that really hard to hear, but I know it's true.

      Mistakes can be fun! A mistake to one person is a perfect action to another. It is perspective that is the culprit behind suffering.

    Jason, I'm older, and I was the popular one, with friends and looks, and positive thinking and was called "smiley". I feel lonely and very depressed, I'm always mad and cry,.on a dime. You're the ONLY PERSON, I COULD LISTEN TO. You have a positive way of allowing us to view our issues w/ forgiveness. Thank you, you answered a few questions, I was struggling with and yes I would choose the same mistakes!

      Good for you. :) There is a path to happiness that only you can choose. A person has that much power and the problem is that all people get programmed with what SHOULD happen in life instead of what IS happening and embracing that. There's no mistakes, really. Just a grand learning and observation that can not be nice at times, but it is necessary anyway. :)

    It is funny now to think that I found Jason when I was looking for some advice on how to make my biceps respond to exercise! I never thought that it would be one of the greatest discoveries of my life! Thank you, Jason. I needed this. I don't have a time machine and I am beginning to see that what I did in the past was the best I could do at that time. Ready to take my baby steps in spirituality.

    Thank you Jason. You're a great teacher.
    Today I learnt for the first time the value of self love.
    And how we can bring love to the world by loving and
    Accepting our lives.
    Powerful Truth I am choosing today.

    Right now...I am struggling with this situation myself..where I verbally lashed out at someone who cared about me, very deeply. My worst fear here is, that even though I have to move on, and forgive Myself... that I will never be able to make this up to the Person. That I may have lost them, forever. I keep telling myself, that I am wrong about this. That, even though i don't know it yet, i can and WILL find a way to make this right. But, I know..the FIRST best thing I can do..is to forgive myself for what I've done. I'm ..just..not sure how. lol. (Hopefully, without pooping my pants)

    Can you make a video about how to love yourself more and how to increase your self esteem, issues with body image? I think a lot of people deal with that and would be great to get your insight on it! Thanks love watching your videos!

    I have taken a long time to understand that to forgive oneself or others is not to condone or excuse bad behavior but to understand why it happened. I hope this is an ok way of viewing thing???

    • @JasonJGallant
      @JasonJGallant  9 років тому

      maria fresta yes, but you can take it deeper if you wish. What is okay in one culture is horrid in another. A lot of what we deem as "bad" or "good" is trained into us through conditioning and has very little to do with truth. When we stop seeing something as bad or good, we free ourselves to experience the infinite. This is a mystical process that changes your internal states and takes you closer to enlightenment, the place beyond the good and bad, and this place is inside you. It is only the mind--the prison--in which many live, that judges things. When one is caught in judging and sorting, they remain in the mind, and never fall deep into the heart, the place in the heart beyond emotions, the place of the unconditional bliss that is with you at all times, even though supposed "bad" situations. This is really all about being a master of your internal identification and really has little to do with outside circumstances. When you become a master of your internal process, the external takes on an entirely different meaning.

      thanks: u confirm what I have thought most of my life. While I have struggled intensely about and with many things dealing with early and later life abuse, I have always been very accepting and eclectic in my own spiritual practice and always sought for answers within myself as well as reaching out to wise ones for assistance. Thanks again for your wisdom which has come along at a perfect time for me. I have a long way to go but every small step is a giant leap too.

    I made a gigantic mistake March of this year when I gave 3 of my cats away to a man whom I thought was a nice, good family man and 5 days later I found out the man tortured and murdered my cats - 1 of them full pregnant with kittens. It's caused me a tremendous amount of pain but I know never to give another cat away for free to someone I don't know. At least I've learned that lesson. It's hard but I got to try to forgive myself for this huge mistake I made. There's got to be many other people who did the same thing I did.

      You can't take responsibility for the darkness in others. It wasn't your fault

      Lisa Sc I’m so sorry that happened , there are such cruel people who could do something like that . It’s hard to know if your giving your animals to a good home because even if they were in a great home they could run away or get out & something bad might happen to them .

  • @Manders3900
    @Manders3900 7 років тому +1

    What if the mistake you've made was to not trust your own instincts and instead let yourself be guided by other people's advice even though it clashed with your true self? This is different than just not having the wisdom to make the right decision.
