@@WillFixThat I know the last few years I was in business. I took a lot of pictures on my cell phone and some videos . I am a retired crane inspector. My camera was the most important tool I had. Not only to document what I found for the reports, but to give to the customer to show exactly what problems I found. It also made it impossible for a customer to deny that I had reported the damage. On one 2 month job at Lazy B, I took over 15000 pictures of crane rails and the damages. When the customers engineers asked about something, we were able to tell them to get the DVD and look at the spot in question.
As a high end car mechanic i totally feel this, I always take pictures and video just in case and its saved my butt many times. Done plenty of work on boats as well but specialize in all the interfaces and software needed to connect to all the new boats just like the cars to Diag, program modules and code options. High concentration of aluminum in oil sample on a marine Cummins is in most cases caused by deteriorated aftercooler cooling fins. Check your aftercooler maintenance and replace the cores when they leak or get deteriorated by salty air. Peter.
Caught your channel by chance. Let me recommned a couple of things. When you do a job you should Do a excel sheet that outlines cost, total time, and insurance coverage and finally at the end of each video add a helpful tip to owners of the boat that you noticed on the boat that either needs looked at or stuff is fine.
Thanks for watching I’ve got a few questions. What’s the purpose of the excel spreadsheet? Most of our owners don’t watch or know that we do videos. But, if we see something concerning we always let them know.
I take tons of pictures and videos! I see the port of call of Chattanooga on the stern of that boat, we get folks that are new to saltwater boating, and they do not understand that the level of maintenance with every system goes up exponentially! I've seen 20-year-old boats that have never had the after coolers or seawater heat exchangers apart. Then, and after cooler will leak and put salt water into the engine which is just a death sentence in the cylinders.
I retired from many years of HVAC Service work, I used to always keep the super start capacitors to install in line with the weak capacitors on old compressors. Poor oil performance and excessive heat during operation leading to scuffing have been documented.
