I have always known the effort you make in the interest of what you imagine we all want to see. And then further, the even more enormous effort in producing the video AFTER you collect the content! I appreciate and I’m grateful for all of it. Thank you, E!
All I know is that when I bring a boat alongside in a foul wind smooth as silk there is no one ever to see this feat of great seamanship - when I make a complete hash of it and try and park it in the harbour side cafe there is always a huge and appreciative audience. Parking these big beasts would be too much for my heart to bear!
What a fun video! I really like these impromptu style postings, its just like hanging out with your yacht buddy and hearing off the cuff boat stories :) That footage of Lionheart was awesome! These vessels don't look very big until you see people on the deck or are in the water beside one. Well done, thanks for sharing!!!
I've always enjoyed your "yacht docking" videos very much. I was the helicopter pilot on a yacht for several years, and watching the captain and crew work together to dock the boat in some difficult situations was always incredibly interesting. Talk about teamwork!
Bravo for the Madame Gu exercise program. Running is good for you. As you talked of the smooth docking, I had to think of pairing the song “Smooth Operator” with your video. However, you would likely get more views with pairing that song with a video of “The Beautiful Nieces of Monaco and the Riviera”. The Med brings out the generosity of older Uncles with their pretty, and favorite nieces.
eSysman, your videos are outstanding. It is said that professionals make it look easy. Your videos prove that true. I appreciate your hard work. Be safe sir.
Your honesty is always refreshing and makes me believe in the good. You're not in for making money through UA-cam. You simply give facts. Astonishing nowadays. 🙏🤙
wish i could give this two thumbs up. great question that led to great video. and so cute that it flipped a "FAIL" video to YOUR "fails" filming. one of my favorites of all your videos. the rope tossing "fail" was super cute btw. thank you for your hard work.
Great vidio E, you should go to St Maarten. The bridge open's at set times, a bunch of yachts come into the lagoon and all dock at the same time. You'd be spoilt for choice, and no running around!! Keep up the good work! Cheers.
Thanks for a very informative video about the extensive work that goes into a 5-10 min clip. I'm not going to say that it's also about "luck" as you're constantly looking for the opportunity of good content.
Love the silence pop up info videos. Sometimes the narratives can be distracting. The lines and skill of the crew is what I enjoy taking in. Oh your passion for cars is also heart warming, I too love the German manufacturers
We did enjoy this video... very interesting and thank you so much for posting these video for our enjoyment. I also would like to thank you for all your hard work and dedication bringing these wonder vides to your yachting fans.
The harder you work, the luckier you are! It's obvious how hard you work on your channel because luck will only bring you so far ... Stay Safe & Keep Reporting!!
I agree with riojudy Below And her comments about appreciating how much work goes in to each, and everyone of your videos .. We always appreciate it. Love your approach to storytelling, including this one! Another chapter in the book... I'm hoping you're still writing❤😅 We love you, Esysman ⚓️🚢
Hello Fellow Yachting Enthusiasts, & Friends: Thank you for another wonderful video guys. IMHO the opening of this video is absolutely breathtaking 😍. You guys are most definitely the go to channel for Yachting. God Bless & stay safe, TMP from N.J.
Doesn't seem like all luck E. You try, maybe you fail for one yacht but catch another. You try to get in the right place at the right time. With no trying, your success rate would suck. That's why I watch. You always try and normally succeed...with something. A+ video E!
The skill of these captains and crews are amazing. Try backing your car into a parking space with only relatively inches to spare on each side. Add in your car would be affected by the wind and currents and, oh by the way, your car is a million dollar Bugatti and on one side is a Rolls and on the other is a Ferrari so no scratches are tolerated. But what the heck, no pressure .. right??
If your bored with nothing to film in Monaco, if it’s not too windy, you might be able to film paragliders coming in to land off Rock Brune on the (nudist, or it was) beach. If your at sea looking back at Monaco, the mountain on the right hand side of the bay, the one with the big tv mast on it, the end spur is (or was) a take off site. It can be an interesting landing, as you have to judge it right (have enough height) to clear the overhead power lines on the train track, just in front of the beach.
You must get utterly knackered running arround to get into position for a shot. Only to have the target go off & do something else. Drone & camera batteries running low must be another pain in the behind. At least they are more compact these days.
Great video, thank you Sir! Sometimes the best videos and/or b-roll happen just by accident. As always, well done. (You've gotten a few more grays in your beard since you filmed the Madame Gu video 😅)
I'm not sure if you've ever talked about it, but where do they store all those fenders when they're at sea? I'm guessing they are inflatable(?) Maybe you can give a quick explanation of the process of storing and deploying those ubiquitous items some time. Great work! I always enjoy your videos.
I worked on a ~35 metric ton/75,000 lb displaement ~20meter sailing yacht which used a fair number of pretty big fenders. At times I deflated most/all of the fenders, especially during longer ocean passages when space was at a premier and the boat container would not "follow" the yacht. The yacht had a dive compressor so I made up "special" hose with an attachment so I could re-inflate them
"The harder I practice, the luckier I get" 🙂 Found your channel during COVID and became hooked. I need to check out some of your earlier videos when I get chance. Keep up the good work! I for one would be interested to hear your view of how you see F1 at the minute.
Reassuring to know even the professionals mess up occasionally. I have a friend and she reckons if it all goes wrong it's probably when someone is watching but if noone is watching them even difficult manoeuvres go ok. Love ya Rach!
Thankyou for your dedication passion and insight that you bring into your great videos. I become more aware of your behind~the~scenes work, and the enormity of it all, as to me as I ponder, it looms large behind the finished outcome. A bit like the mountains in the rear view mirror following and growing ever larger, as we drive away from them. But in a friendly way.
Quick question. So, I touch lucky and buy a yacht. I can't wait to dock at. Monaco for the F1. Obviously, you can't just turn up. I assume you have to book in well in advance. My question is, how far in advance would I need to book? Cheers, absolutely love the channel.
I actually checked since i have one. its normally empty and 160$/day with no reservations. for the race its 2.5 months in advance latest by 28 feb 5500$ flat rate. this is for normal yachts
Well this just goes to show everyone that timing is everything and no matter how hard we try or plan the best laid plans don’t come to be . This is why I have some trouble believing in some conspiracy theories as they only can happen if everything falls into play perfectly. Love the effort you put into your past time to show us land locked admirers how live exists on yachts and what it takes to be part of that environment.🤔😎👍
I appreciate your reports more than ever now that I know about the mischances you face. There's a folk expression that something is like herding cats. We could have a similar expression that something is like trailing yachts.
It’s definitely a Med thing that you actually don’t see so much these days. But 15-20 years ago, every time we would be coming in, there’d be a big crowd on the dock to watch the maneuver. But they weren’t there to see a flawlessly smooth show - they were hoping to see a huge screw up - like racing fans who’ve come for the crashes. And initially it used to make me a bit nervous. But after the first season I just came to think it was funny. I couldn’t blame them for watching the show in the Cannes old port, coming into a ‘slip’ that’s not there until you push the other boats aside, with a 25 knot wind right on the beam!
Can you do a prank video where you get on the crew's walkie talkie channel and yell, "the bow has crushed the little sail boat" while the captain is reversing in
Your story illustrates what my father frequently told us as we were growing up. "Sometimes luck is worth more than brains." You can logically check what the yachts are doing, but Lady Luck determines whather you get the video. In the same vein, the Sharpe series* has General Calvert telling the story of how Napoleon selects a general. Napoleon asks "Is he lucky?" *The Sharpe series by ITV is available on UA-cam. Author Bernard Cornwell wrote a series of novels based in the time of the Napoleonic wars. For those of us who prefer sword fight to gun fights, it's a grwat series.
these mega super yachts are ok but for my taste i love the old and older classic yachts , wish you would do about 6 videos strictly on these classic ladies 70 feet and up
Anyone who has been in marinas knows that when it comes entering or leaving, there's not much time to prepare a video they have a schedule and don't wait for anyone. You seem to just have luck on your side.
When I saw the title of docking fails, I was expecting to see yachts crashing into the pier or other boats. Doh!
I have always known the effort you make in the interest of what you imagine we all want to see. And then further, the even more enormous effort in producing the video AFTER you collect the content! I appreciate and I’m grateful for all of it. Thank you, E!

Fabulous video, thanks so much. Fascinating to get some background info. All the best.
I've always enjoyed your "yacht docking" videos very much. I was the helicopter pilot on a yacht for several years, and watching the captain and crew work together to dock the boat in some difficult situations was always incredibly interesting. Talk about teamwork!
As a fellow helicopter pilot would you mind me sending you a PM and asking a few questions about that exact type of jo?
Great video thank you!
Now that right there ladies and gents is nothing but 110% commitment to show us behind the scenes.. Much respect sir. 👊🏻
Bravo for the Madame Gu exercise program. Running is good for you.

The evolution of ESysman. You’ve gone from empty picture frames in the background to lovely model boats and cars.
Keep it up mate.
Love hearing about your day behind the scenes

A great story, Sysman! 💕 Thanks! 😊

A great way to spend your days swaning around there. Jealous really!! Intresting as always👏👍

Great revelations! :-) I always think everything was carefully prepared! :-) Thank you for this funny video.
Great stuff as always, eSysman!
I like these stories and the flow of your telling , more time, more relaxed and sharing the events.
thx °

Came for the oligarchs, stayed for the channel! 🛳️
I thought this was going to be about docking fails. Rather, it's filming fails. LOL Still interesting, and I like the behind-the-scenes info.
Nice Porsche in background 😳
neat to hear how much effort you put in to making a docking video. thanks alot.
What a great 'job' you have! Thanks for the insight!

Thanks for sharing this video it was very interesting how you film the super yachts in port 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Excellent
Thank you sir for the efforts and hard work. I enjoy the education, information, instruction and scenery.
Enjoyed, this video and found it informative and discovering the amount of effort put in to your work, makes it more appreciative.

Madam Gu is in Dubai undergoing maintenance. It's mind blowing how many luxury yachts are sitting idle in Dubai right now.
The dock walk stuff is my favorite.

eSysman and his imaginary races :-) This guy truly lives in his own, wonderful world. Keep it up friend!
Do you ever visit Antibes? You used to be able to go right up to the biggest yachts, but I'm not sure if you can get close to them now.
Since the marina went private they’ve blocked entrance to the area where large yachts dock. Been like that over 5 years.
The Gold and Black Yacht at the 4:55 mark, any info on that?
What equipment are you using when filming?
I appreciate your reports more than ever now that I know about the mischances you face. There's a folk expression that something is like herding cats. We could have a similar expression that something is like trailing yachts.
Fascinating stuff and I don't even like boats/yachts/ships. I did about twenty months at sea flying off of USN ships. That was enough for me. Cheers!

where do the yachts store all those fenders?
vhf handheld for marina traffic?
Ever had owners or crew furious that you were recording them?
great concept and sexy deck hands would look amazing
Looking at those big boats, I wonder how many have elevators.
And how many? Some boats could have two or more. Are they specialized?
I would like to know how many batteries you carry for your drone. 4 x batteries = happy hour.
