The reality is that it takes a lot of time getting things ready for our different projects..... if you've watched for awhile you know that we rarely do the same kind of work! Errands and a list are a must to keep us organized ... I'm sure you can relate!
As a corporate pilot I spent a lot of time in Key West. It is fun to see you walking by the places we would go when we were there. My boss would bring his 100' Hatteras down from Palm Beach and we would get to hang out for the week while he played. I just found your channel and subscribed and I have learned a lot already.
Be sure to share our channel with your friends thanks for watching! Yup Key West is a fun little city! You'll see us running all over the docks and more Key West to come in the future.
I've always owned boats, outboard motors and generators so when I retired as a state fire mechanic I became a boat mechanic on an island. They gave us a free mooring for our Catalina 36 as part of the deal. I was the "on the water" mechanic working on visitors yachts. They gave me a Boston Whaler to use for work and play. It was a lot of fun and very interesting as well. It was a nice 4 years since I retired at 56 so I was still young enough to get into the tight spots.
That’s awesome sounds like you enjoyed it! We do not work on boats moored only at the docks or boatyard! We’ve tried that mooring years ago but to many trips back and forth for tools depending on the repairs! Too much time in dingy and safety aspect! You never know what crazy’s boat you’re getting on at a dock a little more protection.
Know all those places..especially Cuban's..great guys always going the distance to assist those of us who know less than we think. But, finding mechanics who show up and who know their business if far and few between. Anyone can say "I am a mechanic". These guys seem to know their business where customer service is the number one objective....RH
Yup Cuban’s is part of our stomping grounds we go there several times a week! Unfortunately some so called guys like to say they are mechanics BUT definitely NOT at our level if you’ve watched a few of our videos! Our worse jobs are cleaning up after other shops! 😮
Its cold here ... been in the 60's we have a niece coming in 10 days then another one the following week. Each are bringing a friend which should help with entertaining themselves.... I'm sure we will catch them on video
@WillFixThat 39 in am 65 today. Sun goes down and it gets cold fast. Been wearing pants and coat. I hate it I like shorts and T-shirt brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
@@scottmaz4063 Hey you forgot to mention those flip-flops! I've been wearing 2 long sleeve shirts and my vest with pants! Matt's still been wearing his shorts he's crazy especially with our wind.
Really like your show. Real hands on work. I noticed your wraparound sunglasses. I'd like to get your recommendation and if they're prescription. Also I have a 1997 Evinrude 150hp 18ft boat in my driveway. I turn it over every month for 15 minutes. It had a solid 20 second warning alarm then I turned off motor. Restarted and no alarm. Could it be volume of water from my hose is low. Temps stay below 140F.??? Thanks.
If you are referring to Matt's sunglasses they are SMITH bifocals. I'll have to ask him about the evinrude issue! Appreciate you watching our real life show
I can't afford to live in Key West, but I sure wish your clone lived in Daytona or St Augustine. My Mr. Fix It had a stroke and had to retire, and boy do I miss him.
Lol oh Matt walking around town carrying a car battery 😂 and it was 65 here today in Michigan hopefully that Mercedes you don't have to hook the car up to a computer to tell it you changed the battery and I ordered Matt the hot pink ratchets lol
Can’t wait to get those ratchets! Man hope I can get video 🤣 when he opens them! LOL you’re right about the Mercedes our friends have to have someone from the main land come down to get the car working. Good thing we didn’t get rid of the battery cause we had to take it back to our friends cause they apparently have a chip or something in them that they need to get it going! A lot of effort for a dead car.
@WillFixThat lol as soon as I get them in I'll ship them and yea I know the battery game I worked on vehicles for 12 years before switching to boats lol 😆
Marine electricians are incompetent and just out for your money. At least that’s what I’ve seen after buying 2 boats and analyzing the work they’ve done with previous owners. Just like that 10amp breaker, I’ve seen so many wacky jobs done by electrician or boat owner.

This couple has a great life!!! How fortunate to be able to work together doing what they obviously love and are so competent at
You talking about us 😂 we been married 31 years so we’ve trained each other! 😮

With the electrics, always check your source of power first and work your way from there. Just the way I was taught lol
Yup lots of times it can be simple.
Yes our kids on long island are complaining about the snow and cold. But they will be down here in 2 weeks with the grandkids.

What happened to the outboard at your friend's house with the broken bolt. Ya'll sprayed it with kroil. Did it work?
No we had the owners take it to a machine shop to get it removed!
