Whether you want something rustic or a dark walnut colored stain, there are several shades to choose from. Faux stain furniture to look like wood. This technique requires no stripping or sanding of the old paint or stain. It’s so much easier to use paint as a stain on furniture. I also share when to use paint over chalk paint and how to paint trim to look like wood.
The best thing to use for doing her technique is a small whisk broom . The finished product looks awesome when a whisk broom is used
Thank you! I’m going to use this technique on my next makeover. ❤️
Great job. Looking forward to more applications such as restoration hardware
Have you done oak stair rails and pine treads with this technique?
what color paint do you mix with the glaze for the dark walnut
Why did you use stain after primer? I thought this was a faux stain.
I just followed your blog, and I was wondering if you think this would work on wood base boards that are painted white? I would love to get a lighter, natural wood look.
I think it would work but you would need to use a really good clear coat on top meant for flooring.
Can you use an oil based spray primer; like from rustoleum?
I have done very similar with woodglut designs.
I am left handed so I will have to go right to left. So the info you have is for right handed people left to right. You should have said that in the video
Jesus Christ
You even said left to right 4 times. Never once did you say this left to right is for right handed people. Left handed people like to refinish furniture also. So the video was for right handed people only, otherwise you would have said for left handed people you would go left to right. Yes im offended
Mike, you seem offended by her video, because she didn’t specify the direction of paint for left handed people. Most people, regardless of being right, or left handed, will get the gist of the video, and adapt to their situation. Most people watching these videos just need the concept, supplies, and technique, then take it from there. Every DIYer has a different style. I think she did an amazing job at showing us her how to video, regardless if she said for right or left handed people.
@@soopermom1000 I am so glad you can speak for most people. How many did you ask? Haven't you ever learned to NEVER ASSUME. I was asking for myself. Wondering if I should stay with the way it was being done or the way I was comfortable with being left handed. If the world would sweep around their doorsteps before sweeping around others the world would be a better place. And keep that nose where it belongs. Thank You for commenting on something that had absolutely nothing to do with you. I'm sure you have problems of your own without having to worry about what people are commenting on. Have a glorious Day Karen
@@mikehendrix6558 Seriously stop crying. If she painted with gloves on, you'd be crying you're allergic to latex.
