I would say there is also a lot of 1956-57 Cadillac in the Atomic V8. But, great job, nice to see other car guys into Fallout. I never heard of the Adventurer II! Maybe the Cherry Bomb was a relatively affordable sports car, like the Corvette, instead of a rare supercar.
I love 40's , 50s cars, and most of the retro futuristic Fallout cars. This was a great detailed showcase , well done man 👍 The Cherry bomb was cool a.f. , jet powered coolness.
I have been a Mechanic for over 35 years I have a love/hate relationship with automobiles! LOL! Odd story here, I was adopted. And my sister recently found me. Turns out my father was a Mechanic too. As well as my nephew. Strange that I would be so similar to them, yet grew up separately. Sorry to hear about your dad, Sir. Seems like he raised you right. Have a great day, and all the best. o7
Thank you. I am glad your family was able to reconnect with you. That is an inspiring story. It is strange what connects us to family sometimes, but it is always powerful when it does.
Very interesting, glad the youtube algorithm managed to recommend me your video! love the vibe, I subscribe. I think in the next fallout it would be awesome if they let you more time in the world before the war would be so interesting, like live and drive in the pre war era, like a longer introduction where you could live a bit of a normal life and exploring the world with with these vehicles with extravagant designs would be pretty cool
The van's filler cap is in the rear. If you look at a damaged models interior you'll see a pipe going from the high mounted center greeble around the shell of the van to the floor.
@@lastmangameplanNo prob, something was nagging at me ever since I posted it and finally remembered - look up Bedford Buses of Malta, or the Malta bread van, or Bedford Otobüs. Probably just a coincidence but the Fallout 4 van always reminded me of those, though with more reserved styling. The actual glasshouse always reminded me of the Citroen Cityrama though, and again, the real vehicle was so much weirder than the in game one.
The 1958 Plymouth Fury was originally going to be one the first vehicles available with electronic fuel injection. However, the transistors of the era were too fragile to be reliable in an automotive environment. It wouldn't be until 1967 that the first practical EFI system was produced.
I'm sooo glad you found the right inspirations behind those master pieces, you don't know how well you scratch that itch, but pleaseeee do fallout 3 cars aswell. Oh and also, boy you know cars! BTW would it be too big of a dream for me to wish that I become a car designer and make retro-futuristic EVs like in fallout 4, but in real life?😅
First--Thank you so much! Second--I would certainly consider more car vids (a cars of Fallout London video is on my mind right now). 3rd--retro futurism is exactly what EV's need right now to help us fall in love with them. Just look at the popularity of Robert Downey Jr.'s retrofitted EV giveaway cars!
Fallout London cars defenetly sounds interesting and I'll make sure to watch it as fast as it's uploaded. On the matter of retro-futuristic EVs, since the car designers already reached the longly anticipated car of the future design and there's nowhere else to go furture in the future from there, a step back is all what EVs need. Now I don't want to design cars just like in the past, but with electric motors, no, no, no, that would mean stagnation and involution for car design, you see the cars from fallout 4 and the 1950s concept cars now that's what I wanna do!
Only the van and station wagon seem to give much consideration to that kind of practicality--but I kind of like the conspicuous consumption of the fallout cars. It's very '50s America.
I think videos examining niche design choices in my favorite games might be my new favorite sub-genre of UA-cam content.
If that means you enjoyed the video--then I am happy to hear it!
@@lastmangameplan Oh, definitely!
I love cars too. Especially old cars. I still have the 1978 Ford truck I had when I was 17 back in 1996.
Nice! I've had a handful of trucks, but I miss my 65 F100 the most.
As an old school car geek and major Fallout fan this scratched so many itches.
That is amazing to hear! Thank you.
Love the car content! I learned more than I ever expected. Thank you for the details.
Anytime😊.

It would. A bit of good news: The cars I have displayed at Starlight drive in are all mod added versions and some are drivable in a clunky way.
Awesome video! this completely answers all the questions about Fallout cars. A lot of work to make this, thank you sharing!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Chrystler Cordoba. That is all.
One of the early 70's round headlight Cordobas? For the Blitz? yeah. I can see that.
@@lastmangameplan I was more referring to the name Chryslus Corvega, but i didn't make that clear in any way whatsoever, so my bad haha
Nice vid. There was a mod on nexus that made all the cars in FO4 new, but, it looks like it disappeared. Can no longer find that mod.
Respect to you Astrogazer--a nexus OG.
Dad is proud

Well just go ahead and poke a big hole in my theory about the van then. LOL
I'll have to take a closer look at that pipe my friend.

Why can't we have cool looking retro EVs like these in the real world instead of the ugly, nerdy looking cars most manufacturers produce?
I like the way you think sir!
Exactly. Tripped me out how they had a working E.V model far back as the 40's.
That' my dream career. To be a car designer and make 1950' retro-futuristic EVs
Bro I have been thinking that for ever. That yellow car that the bounty hunter/actor drives in the fallout tv show I think is a perfect example.
