I honestly wish Bethesda would partner with Turn 10 again and get some more Fallout car brands into Forza. They had the Rocket 69 in Forza Motorsport 6, but I would love to see how a Atomic 8 or Coupe would drive around Great Brittan. And yes, the Rocket 69 was extremely fast in FM6. You could easily get up too speeds in excess of 180mph. And take forever to come to a complete stop.
I can tell you what the bottom of that car is. That's a battery door. Look at the bottom of any tin toy car made in the 50s and early 60s, that's pretty much what it looks like. complete with rivets and folding tabs. Somebody with a sense of humor made them all toy cars.

I would legitimately love having one of these cars in real life. That would be amazing. These cars are so cool. 1950's style car but with futuristic parts like a nuclear reactor engine. These are badass cars
To be fair, when you commented on leg room in the one car, I imagine the front seats could be adjusted, and maybe even the back seats. But yeah, still would be pretty cramped. I imagine it's just an oversight because of the cars having very little use in-game.
I drive an '88 Corolla SR5. The back seats are literally that if you scoot them all the way back, if you're a tall person. It's not much better scooting them forward, either. The only difference is that the back seats in Corvega's are flat, whilst the back seats in my car are bucket seats.
i've seen more then one real life car that if you slide the front seats back they almost touch the backseats.. and i mean literally much closer then the car in this video.
Not uncommon for old cars, especially European and Asian coupes. Watch some of Doug Demuro's videos on old sports cars and you'll find he consistently has trouble just getting into the back seat, then he has to sit curled into a ball because the roof is too low in the back. My family used to have a Nissan Patrol pickup back in the day and it was the same thing, the rear bench seats were so shallow and cramped they were basically made for dogs. What stands out to me more is how close the front seats are to the dash and the absence of an actual foot well and pedals in a lot of them.
@@eyegrinder94 not sure why i remembered this reading your comment.. my old housemate had a nissan 370z, beautiful car.. but i literally couldn't even sit upright in the passenger seat, had to be reclined pretty much staring at the roof, and she had to put her purse in the trunk, because there was no room anywhere else in the car. :)
I mean there are cars like that in the real world, like a Camaro, but the back seats don’t move, only the front. And I would imagine it’s the same for a car even in an alternate reality
Ye, take anything that does not have a own collection it belongs to and make a video of it. And speakin of similar things, since he did the FEV lab I think it's time for a Robobrain video.
that train, the first time i saw that in VR i was like "wtf, that is unreasonably large". the scale of that thing just does not come across on a screen.
The trains suck in terms of realisim, but in Fallout 76 or some other Fallout game (i forgot the correct one) that has EMD F7's. These look beautiful and all other trains in that game are too. Any other trains in any other Fallout game are bad.
@@TrainMann I may be a year late but the F7 is in New Vegas! I'm really glad to see it in the game, and the model actually isn't too bad either, it's nice to see that it survived into the 2070s and even through the apocalypse too, I'd love to see some sort of base based on a train in Fallout, whether a freight or passenger consist.
12:45 Actually, the Pick-R-Up uses a Hybrid Combustion/Fusion Engine. Dunno how it works, but it basically uses both Gas and Fusion power together to make for quite a powerful vehicle.
Генерал Воронин I’m pretty sure that depends on how long you drive it, I think getting radiation poisoning is prolonged exposure to the radiation... but I don’t know much about radiation so I’m probably wrong
Actually, not sure if anyone else noticed, the station wagon with a single open trunk was the exact asset used at the beginning when you first leave the house for the vault. I'm sure the reason why they had 2 fully formed cargo trunks, 1 open and 1 not, could be because the car could have been a mirror, perhaps? make it extremely detailed, mirror it across the center, and then just add a closed hatch, opened hatch, and a steering wheel on one side or something.
Hey Oxhorn. you should do a video on the roaming named feral Ghouls (ie. Mr.Donohough, Mrs.Summer. Ms.Rosa) there is some evidence that there are your neighbours before the the great war, for example the house across from the sole survivors has a mail box with the last name "Rosa" on it. Could make for an interesting video Idea I don't think anyone has covered this theory yet.
I think drivable cars would ruin fallout since fallout 4 map is quite big but with a car you would go from vault 111 to Vigil's cave in about 2 minutes.
Not really it would give reason to make a larger map were vehicles would be viable and cut down travel times from one side of the map to the other [but I agree that it should not be allowed in the glowing sea unless it is modified and goes slower due to those modifications
Why not? It would be more like cod having vehicles only for display in the map. On Halo you can operate almost all vehicles, even semis and Hi-Los on Halo Reach
You can already go from vault 111 to Far Harvor in 5 seconds by opening your Map. Why not run over a few super mutants, get on a marine boat, and gun down mirelurks with dogmeat barking all the time
I don't think it would break lore tbh. Even if the vehicles were in a patched up, semi destroyed way it would look authentic. After 200years many people would have figured out how to fix or rebuild cars. I think it would help give the game more character
The Pick-R-Up is nuclear powered but due to the truck bed on the back the reactor was placed at the front. You can tell because at the front you can see a nuclear symbol.
Also the Zip is based on the Peal P50, the Peal looks very similar and also has no rear view mirrors. The lack of mirrors is because the Peal can't go backwards, instead YOU had to get out, pick up the back of the car, and spin it around (it's very lightweight)

The train is probably based on the class t1 duplex of the Pennsylvania rail way as well as probably taking inspiration for the framework from a Chinese kf7 engine
I think one developer way back did mention that he wanted to a game about the resource wars. But I think the main reason they don't touch the pre-war era much is because they want it to stay sort of "mythical", like they want you to see the pre-war world through post-war eyes. To the people of the wasteland the time before the bombs is unbelievable and almost magical, I think the devs want the players to see it that way too. If they made an entire game set in pre-war times it might kill some of the mystique surrounding it.
There is no leg room in that truck at all, lol. Also, It'd suck getting into a car accident in these cars, as they all go nuclear and explode. I'd imagine there have been plenty of Express-Way nuclear chain-reactions in the FO world.
Hell yeah, been wanting to see all the pre war cars in one place for a minute! Would also love a video about the prewar military vehicles like the MBT that's all Soviet from Red Alert looking and the retro apc with the cannon eyes!
The Zip reminds me of the “Peel P50” (although I know that the Peel was a British invention, Bethesda may have none the less taken a wee bit of inspiration for it) 🤔

POV: You've been wandering the barren wasteland for months. You see lights in the distance, and in an eager sprint you dash towards it, hoping for water...and find a used car salesman.
It would be cool to have the Lone Wanderer as an available vehicle, and i'm pretty sure Bethesda could make something like that for the game, I mean come on if Elder Scrolls (In general) has horses that you can own and ride surely Fallout can get something like that too, even if it was horses Bethesda added in!
If you aren't familiar with the way with how badly horses behave in Skyrim then I can forgive you for thinking that a motorcycle is possible in fallout 4 :P Its an engine restriction gambreyo/creation is just not capable of proper "vehicles" it does have the means for proper support without it being buggy (like mountain climbing horses) And you can get away with the bumpiness of it with horses. You can't with a smoother ride like a motorcycle
Would anybody actually be interested in a model kit of these cars? I am in the process of making one of the corvega from the original game files for 3d printing. Please comment or like because if I get enough feedback I will make it available to everyone.
I came across your channel a couple of weeks back, I love your enthusiasm for fallout as I share it too. These games are so detailed and they clearly went to lot of effort to create the world and lore within it. I like exploring the worlds in the but miss lots when I do and your channel always makes me want to play the game again.
Walking near the cars in fallout 4 always scares me because i've encountered the car collision glitch so many times. (for those that don't know, there's a glitch were walking near a car will instantly kill you.)
the Vault-Tec van reminds me so much of a Ford Thames, a van available in the UK in the 50's and 60's. there might have been a US variant. the hatch is probably the engine access. and as far as i know, all vehicles were atomic powered, hence why they all blow up.
The Fusion Flea, aka the Messerschmitt KR200, was also driven by Jonathan Pryce's character in the movie Brazil. Since it's one of my all time favorites, I picked up on that as soon as I saw it in the game. I also think the Zip might be somewhat based off of the BMW Isetta, aka, the Urkelmobile, though the entire front of that opened up instead of side doors.
Anybody notice the fact that the lanes on the roads are extremely narrow... The little loop around the tree in sanctuary can't even fit a car and on the skyway, the buses and trucks are wider than the lanes. How did people drive on those roads?
I think it's because the infrastructure is older than the vehicles, as in the roads were built for 50's sized cars not 2077 nuclear powered cars which would be wider, just a bit of headcannon
The fusion flea's steering wheel is similar to that of an aircrafts control column just like the messerschmitt car as messerschmitt built aircraft for the luftwaffe like the ME 109, ME 110 and after the war they built cars by modifying the molds for aircraft parts like the canopies and joysticks.
I can just imagine a teenage boy getting a Rocket 69 to drive his girlfriend around in then realising it only has one seat, and then the OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH! meme playing.
This is why I love the old vision of the future. I mean, I love 1940-50 cars simply because they're smooth & wacky (Like the Studebaker Commander *1950) & I love Cyberpunk for the oddly dark tone that makes the place feel mysterious & the cars are just modded. Steampunk is the same but with cars from the 1910-30s. Such things are what make the future a fictional reality in movies/tv, books & games.

You are dumb if you think Washington wasn't a bombed out hole, which explains the lack of colour.
It was drab and bland because Washington was bombed to hell
Honestly I really liked fallout 4 graphics and it would be crazy if they remade new Vegas and fallout 3 with those graphics
Barry M.Cockener yeah but I think it would look so much better with fallout 4 graphics. Same with new Vegas. I think they got fallout 3 and new vegas colors right but if they did a remake it would look very cool
That would be awesome. Imagine trying to negotiate Scotland at Mach 1? Modifying all those cars would be fun too.
I can tell you what the bottom of that car is. That's a battery door. Look at the bottom of any tin toy car made in the 50s and early 60s, that's pretty much what it looks like. complete with rivets and folding tabs. Somebody with a sense of humor made them all toy cars.
"Rocket 69" "cockpit"
i see what you did there ... 😂
Harper Chisari Joystick
Toyota Prius i didnt feel that one was as good
Harper Chisari all of these puns are awfull
Toyota Prius its not really meant to be a pun. for one he said them, and for two what do you think Rocket 69 MEANS?
weird that you see working Vertibirds ,robots, computers, machinery of many kinds, yet no working cars !
Cars are mostly impractical considering none of those cars looked off road compatible, and there are no roads that you could really drive on
+zombieLISKlizard most of the roads are in fairly good condition considering the age, the tractor shown in the game would do fairly well off-road and the corvega v8 without the front number and some larger wheels and tires would to fairly well
It's cool, but who needs cars when you got the prydwen, vertibirds and teleporters?
devilsmessanger fallout 2 had cars. It was the faster alternative to normal fast traveling. Don't know why they didnt. Friend of mine was making a mod to put the horse physics from skyrim on the motorcycle though. Dont know how thats going or if its out or not
A motorcycle would fit a horse's mesh better than a car making it easier to accomodate the player but a car would fit a horse's physics better.
I would legitimately love having one of these cars in real life. That would be amazing. These cars are so cool.
1950's style car but with futuristic parts like a nuclear reactor engine.
These are badass cars
Alpharius 20 they are!
Be careful while driving tho, or you might combust!
You would like to get cancer just by driving them?
@@ttteo2771 Yes.
the red tractor that you can find in the game looks like it was based on the porsche diesel series tractors most likely the porsche diesel junior
the silent farmer yes yes it does but it’s also reminiscent of some Cockshut models to
the silent farmer the Porsche 111?
Fun fact before the beautiful beautiful beautiful Lamborghini's they made tractors! Cool huh?
@@nekooccult3466 Only the early Lamborghini's were beautiful in my opinion (the cars not the tractors)
A mod adventure set in the Pre-War era would be really cool, even more so if you could drive one of these slick rides around.
You could do all the other things, like the UFO, Tractors, Buses, Forklifts and diggers in a separate video together with the trains
Ye, take anything that does not have a own collection it belongs to and make a video of it.
And speakin of similar things, since he did the FEV lab I think it's time for a Robobrain video.
Why would he do that
that train, the first time i saw that in VR i was like "wtf, that is unreasonably large". the scale of that thing just does not come across on a screen.
Interstellar Whale the trains are epic
You should build a real pre-war car museum like you did for power armor.
I did, this is it
No. I mean build a house with several floors and put the cars on massive piedestals.
Love the video, very interesting as always. Are you going to do one on prewar buses, lorries and military vehicles?
Everything works with nuclear power in the Fallout universe, petrol doesn't exist.
***** Now that I think of it. There is an instance in Fallout Tactics where you find a gas station reading $7450 per gallon regular.
The Space Wizard You can if you complete some mission for Railroad.
i started fallout 4 up and as soon as it loaded i got the rocket 69 song as you were showing off the car
Serendipity!
cool story...
TheGaryGamerReeseTheBeast i'll add this to the list of things that never happened
Id kill to drive any of these is real life
I agree.
@@lukeskywalker8572 u can drive the rocket 69 in forza motorsport 6
Same
And get cancer because of radiation
Генерал Воронин I’m pretty sure that depends on how long you drive it, I think getting radiation poisoning is prolonged exposure to the radiation... but I don’t know much about radiation so I’m probably wrong
I absolutely love the look of Fallout's cars. They're one of, if not my favorite part of the pre-war scene.
Actually, not sure if anyone else noticed, the station wagon with a single open trunk was the exact asset used at the beginning when you first leave the house for the vault. I'm sure the reason why they had 2 fully formed cargo trunks, 1 open and 1 not, could be because the car could have been a mirror, perhaps? make it extremely detailed, mirror it across the center, and then just add a closed hatch, opened hatch, and a steering wheel on one side or something.
shaun themanc exactly.
Oxhorn you should make a video of the coolest most creative playerhomes that still stick with the theme.
I have done a few of those, check out my Fallout 4 Mods playlist, I did one recently called Hermit Homes
Oxhorn Watched it earlier, nice little video
Bob Richardson
This is one of my build requirements: stick with the theme.
You should see my RR truck stop.
+Oxhorn DEEZ NUTS? GOT EM?
2:39 usually cars of that era would have vinyl interior instead of leather so it’s probably that instead.
I remember first watching this in 2017 while waiting at my cousins graduation and the nostalgia just hit hard
There are multiple different Oxhorns, this is the salesman’s oxhorn
Hey Oxhorn. you should do a video on the roaming named feral Ghouls (ie.
That's a good idea! That would be very hard to reproduce since it is a random encounter. I can look into it.
I have never once failed to reproduce them by going to the little suburb area in the fens just outside vault 81
Oxhorn
Ive ran into like 3 times
Graenolf did
11:20 regardless of what day it is, hopefully you've got the hood down while driving.
If Only They still made automobiles that look as good as these.
Other post-apocalyptic games have driving cars
You can already go from vault 111 to Far Harvor in 5 seconds by opening your Map. Why not run over a few super mutants, get on a marine boat, and gun down mirelurks with dogmeat barking all the time
"You know what? That is a beautiful van. I WANT MY CADDY BACK!"
the fusion flee looks like the messerschmitt kabinenroller, a 1950s small "car" from germany
its a shame that no one made a drivable cars and bikes mod yet, like they did it with New Vegas..
oh my god, it would break lore!
Dragonborn Express It would just be for fun..
Mods
I don't think it would break lore tbh. Even if the vehicles were in a patched up, semi destroyed way it would look authentic. After 200years many people would have figured out how to fix or rebuild cars. I think it would help give the game more character
The highwayman personal fast travel is a great mod so yeah they did
The Pick-R-Up is nuclear powered but due to the truck bed on the back the reactor was placed at the front.
The van is probably center engined and that hatch on the floor might be the hood. Just a thought.
Chi-Bowl wow I just had a retro vehicle history learned. Lesson learned! 😮👍

on the pick up truck, notice the bed is thin, that tells me the fusion reactor is under the bed.
The train is probably based on the class t1 duplex of the Pennsylvania rail way as well as probably taking inspiration for the framework from a Chinese kf7 engine
Wasn't there a pristine Lone Wonderer in Bradberton's office?
Yeah, there is.
And a rocket 69!

Bethesda have to make a prewar Fallout game with functional cars and everything. Maybe based around Nick Valentine story.
then it's not fallout
Corey Joines It could be a spinoff based on the 'Fallout' world before the war. It wouldn't necessarily have to have 'Fallout' in the name.
+Wor Jackie and what could u do because it's not going to be a gta
I think one developer way back did mention that he wanted to a game about the resource wars.
But I think the main reason they don't touch the pre-war era much is because they want it to stay sort of "mythical", like they want you to see the pre-war world through post-war eyes. To the people of the wasteland the time before the bombs is unbelievable and almost magical, I think the devs want the players to see it that way too. If they made an entire game set in pre-war times it might kill some of the mystique surrounding it.
Not going to happen.
I’ve already watched this video around 6 times, but I just can’t stop thinking about these terrific cars!
This is amazing, I love how beautiful these are. I wish they were drivable like in Fallout 2!
for the record, vans do go BOOM! so likely nuclear powered.
do all robots
Yes do that
There is no leg room in that truck at all, lol. Also, It'd suck getting into a car accident in these cars, as they all go nuclear and explode. I'd imagine there have been plenty of Express-Way nuclear chain-reactions in the FO world.
Alterius Zhang Made by Ford who also made Ford Pinto.

Man, I used to watch your WoW shows and to see you transition in to this is amazing. Keep being your glorious self my good sir.
That car is still there when the Sole Survivor gets home too. Poor Cordsworth was mortified that he couldn't keep it in driving shape.
Lot of older cars have fuel intake behind a flip down licence plate holder
Or coolant intake in this case.

21:21 Dogmeat being cute.
Hell yeah, been wanting to see all the pre war cars in one place for a minute! Would also love a video about the prewar military vehicles like the MBT that's all Soviet from Red Alert looking and the retro apc with the cannon eyes!
The Zip reminds me of the “Peel P50” (although I know that the Peel was a British invention, Bethesda may have none the less taken a wee bit of inspiration for it) 🤔
Yes
Tho in my opinion it's more of an Isetta... The Peel was MUCH smaller than any cars here...
The open trunk version is from the begging of the game when that guy is shoving shit in his trunk.
8:22 I always tought that the lights were some kind of jet engines. 😂
rocket 69s we're the Lamborghini of fallout :)
*except they were driven like a rocket, had a fusion reactor instead of a v10 or 12, had only 1 seat, literally looked impossible to drive on normal roads because of how long the wheelbase is, and god knows how many more things*
@@maiq1218 *Cadillac Eldorado was able to be driven on normal roads and that has the longest wheelbase for a Normal car ever made (Normal In this case meaning not a Limousine)
I would love to see a similar LORE video for all the vehicles in the Fallout universe if possible ... tractors, buses, trucks, trailers, trains, metros, excavators, military vehicles, ETC
OfficialLawGuyUK id settle for being able to ride a bramin!!
If you aren't familiar with the way with how badly horses behave in Skyrim then I can forgive you for thinking that a motorcycle is possible in fallout 4 :P
Its an engine restriction gambreyo/creation is just not capable of proper "vehicles" it does have the means for proper support without it being buggy (like mountain climbing horses)
And you can get away with the bumpiness of it with horses. You can't with a smoother ride like a motorcycle
Would anybody actually be interested in a model kit of these cars? I am in the process of making one of the corvega from the original game files for 3d printing. Please comment or like because if I get enough feedback I will make it available to everyone.
Area85 Restorations that sounds cool
That would be amazing.
Chryslus Cherry bomb and station wagon would be the best
Dude that’s sick I love that idea
That be pretty cool
Absolutely!
the Chevron was also used on some old chevys or at least the 57
hmmmmmm i wonder if "chevy" got "chevron" "chev"y "chev"ron HMMMMM
I came across your channel a couple of weeks back, I love your enthusiasm for fallout as I share it too. These games are so detailed and they clearly went to lot of effort to create the world and lore within it. I like exploring the worlds in the but miss lots when I do and your channel always makes me want to play the game again.
Walking near the cars in fallout 4 always scares me because i've encountered the car collision glitch so many times. (for those that don't know, there's a glitch were walking near a car will instantly kill you.)
Whenever i become an engineer I will make these types of cars for you guys
No they are ugly and illogical, half of them have no trunk and one seat.
But you only need to buy coolant for the reactor
Thank you but make them gas powerd. Yeeessss
@@SomeGuy_Somewhere they are Not ugly most modern cars on the other hand are
the Vault-Tec van reminds me so much of a Ford Thames, a van available in the UK in the 50's and 60's. there might have been a US variant. the hatch is probably the engine access. and as far as i know, all vehicles were atomic powered, hence why they all blow up.
If they're all atomic powered, do you know why there are gas stations around?
Solomonster116
they're not "gas stations", they're coolant stations.
raverdeath100 Huh. Well I don't know exactly what that does, but I'll search it up and read about it. Thanks. I just got a little confused.
Everyone's talking about how they'd like to drive these in fallout 4.
Boi, have you see the roads?
It would be a bumpy ride
This is cool and an unexpected topic. I love the vehicles in Fallout 4. Both the Zip and Station Wagon are cars that I'd love to own in real life.
You can actually drive the rocket 69 on forza motorsport 6!

I love that you can even learn more about the cars of the fallout universe
You sound like a car salesperson, haha.
Anybody notice the fact that the lanes on the roads are extremely narrow... The little loop around the tree in sanctuary can't even fit a car and on the skyway, the buses and trucks are wider than the lanes. How did people drive on those roads?
MrGOLDENSHOT25 in fallout 3, in Tranquility Lane you see speed limit sign on the side of the road, but the road is just a plain round about. Lmao
I think it's because the infrastructure is older than the vehicles, as in the roads were built for 50's sized cars not 2077 nuclear powered cars which would be wider, just a bit of headcannon
The Corvega car is the most beautiful one.
Adrián which one? The coupe, station wagon or sedan?
@@kubalewy5837 coupe
Damn, so much thought went into these cars and I just scrap them without a second thought
I know it’s an old video so you won’t see this but the rocket 69 was based on the real Chrysler Rocket 69 Nuclear car haha
69... nice
You should have used footage from forza 6 for the rocket 69
If you have a console
TheBeast Pancake he could have used the footage from the trailer
Aw man, I saw that Firebird 3 irl when it was on a touring concept car museum show. It’s a beautiful, odd little thing. I love the bubble top, and the rocket 69 has great vibes
