Belsize reached out to gift me their kids bike for my son who is growing and moving through bike sizes pretty quick. I was not super impressed by the overall build when I saw the price tag of $375 for this bike. However, it is one of the lightest kids bikes you can find in 16 inch wheels. It weighs right at 13 pounds which is 2.5 pounds lighter than my sons 14 inch bike from ParkCycles.
My biggest complaint on the Belsize is probably just how firm the brakes are to pull. The other complaint I have is that the seat is fixed in that position. It's not a bad position, but if I wanted to slide it back or forward or tilt it to help my kids position on the bike I cannot do that. Really though, there isn't anything wrong with the Belsize bike...
It is nice with it being belt driven because it creates almost a maintenance free bike. The belt wont rust and shouldn't lose tension because it's a very strong and hefty belt.
Here is a link to this bike online and they have a very detailed spec list on this bike which is impressive: belsizebike.com/products/bels...

Commenting to provide an update after a year, this bike is much better than I have mentioned in the video. I realized later I was comparing the quality of this kids bike to an adults enduro mountain bike that people race… so it wasn’t fair that I was this critical of the bike. The brakes do loosen up over time and make it easier to pull. And with a current retail price of $299, I think this is a great bike to purchase.
It’s extremely light, and I didn’t realize how much I was going to like the belt drive. It almost seemed like an unnecessary “bonus” but it’s been very convenient due to lack of maintenance and there’s no chain stretch either to wear down the cogs.
Where do I get the training wheels? I noticed the Design is a little different.
These training wheels we just picked up from Amazon. Just generic training wheels - nothing special.
I'm 195.5 cm. Would I fit? I'm from Argentina btw of that matters.
This is a child’s bike.
