Ive ridden dozens of bikes and not one has been this precarious and sketchy, turning on that doesn't look comfortable at all. if this was a commercial product, where are you gonna get replacement treads? from the manufacturer? the markup and delay compared to a traditional tried and tested bike is just not it. thought I think that this idea is inherently well executed just not something I'd ride for longer than 30 seconds just for the experience

Frankly, you should lay down the tracks on the ground, increase the contact area. Then you would have a tracked bicycle that could go over soft ground, sand, mud etc. That would not have been so entirely useless. Also you might consider changing the drive gear ratios.

From an engineering standpoint, he should have built the frame for the tracks in the shape of a triangle, which would allow for more traction and increased speed, but hey nice job regardless.

Actually, without "wheels" this wouldn't even work, as the internal "wheels" or wheels iwth spikes on them called gears that grab the chain are still round! My vote this is dumb point O!

This was great. Ridiculous concept excellently executed. Safety third approach of welding in jorts and the implication that it worked perfectly the first time bolting it together. Also +10 for no voice over.
And also no crappy music.
They were so interested in proving that they could, they didn't stop to think whether they should.
Nevertheless, it's cool that it operates even if it's slow and loud. There's something very comendable about seeing an idea through to completion, especially if it's absurd. Well done.

"Got it to work" as long as it's cycled on perfectly smooth asphalt, in a straight line, while encountering no pebbles or debris. It's the whole "spherical chickens in a vacuum" thing, with extra steps.

A triangular track instead of rectangular would work better for the bike. This way the track would have more surface to the ground and might actually work or grass/dirt.

The whole time I was thinking "this is actually a nice idea, if well done and all it could save space etc." and then he started driving it.
If you notice as he's riding his bike in the park no one is around. That's because you can hear it two or three miles away. so just imagine how loud it sounds up close and in person!

Frankly, you should lay down the tracks on the ground, increase the contact area. Then you would have a tracked bicycle that could go over soft ground, sand, mud etc. That would not have been so entirely useless. Also you might consider changing the drive gear ratios.
Yeah, I didn't understand why he didn't try to do something like that, it would have took a bit more engineering and extra cogs belts etc but it would've been much more interesting and even a little practical unlike this contraption eh!,lol 🤣
@@arina9153 You're wrong though. You just bend the tracks slightly, that the ends have less pressure, and make the front track shorter, and it will turn just fine.

From an engineering standpoint, he should have built the frame for the tracks in the shape of a triangle, which would allow for more traction and increased speed, but hey nice job regardless.
