jesus, your pilot must have had quite the sense of humor, or was so damn confident in himself that he couldn't crash in the ocean. either way, it's dangerous thinking when you're in charge of the lives of strangers.
DAMIEN MILLS you're right! Pilots shouldn't be so confident as to think they can fly a plane without crashing it into the ocean. It's dangerous thinking to make a joke like that, he may forget that landing on water is bad! Just because he flies a plane all day, every day, doesn't mean he won't forget not to land on the water.
@Christina Reynolds I agree that he was trying to be funny. But some people are so uptight that he might have scared the shit out of someone who was nervous about flying and actually asked to get off before the take off

Christina Reynolds The only one stupid here is apparently you, he said that no one is going to tell if it really was crash into ocean, and anyways most of the landing can be considered crashes.
@Christina Reynolds Many others do find him funny. It had already become clear to me, from reading your various comments, that you do not. You are assuming that he personally has "narcissism, hatred and disgust" in all aspects of his being, when all you are seeing here is what he puts forth publicly on stage which sometimes involves portraying a character, like how most of the lyrics of Randy Newman's song "Short People" were portraying a character. It's become clear to me from George's interviews that although parts of what George said in comedy routines reflected his real feelings, others were wordplay about English language oddities and exaggerated satires of prejudice for comedy effect, not meant to be taken entirely literally as you seem to assume. I did already write to you elsewhere that I saw your point about "near miss." You just took quite a broad swipe at many of George's fans you do not even know, by implying they are not intelligent, mature, thinking adults and that they are so ego driven they only use watching George's routines to try to feel like one. I am sorry about whatever seemingly went wrong in your life that contributed to your bitterness. Have a nice day.
@Christina Reynolds You ain't judging him fairly, cause you calling him all of these fancy terms without even knowing who he is really like. George Carlin had been doing comedy for so long....and I still think this is the funniest 12 minutes he ever put together. If I am ever down or in the dumps, it's this piece that brings me back.

I'd seen this show when a friend of mine got the video when we were in college. Later in 1998, I took my first trip on a commercial plane. I was a little nervous since I'd never flown before, but then the safety lecture started. George Carlin was in my head the whole time doing this skit, and it really helped take the edge off my nervousness.
Man, George Carlin's shows are going to age so well with time. Many decades later, his comedy will be studied to understand our times better. One of these days, I will buy all George Carlin DVDs and keep it with me for when I am old I can watch it on my old DVD player while everyone is using hologram or some shit.

It doesn't matter how many times I watch videos of him, George Carlin makes me literally cry with laughter whenever I watch him. The man had a real gift for turning seemingly trivial things into absolute comedy gold. As well as for seeing through the bullshit in everyday society and telling it like it is. We need people like him in the world. Unfortunately nowadays they are few and far between.
Can you imagine if George was alive with, smart phones, selfies, Justin Bieber, Miley Cirus & Donald Trump running for President? His acts would be off the chart. RIP George, so honored I got to see him live about 10 time. He was and will always be the BEST!!
LOL I'm watching him now. "Put your seat back forward, Well I don't bend that way if I did I'd be in Porno movies" One time I was in the 2nd row & his facial expressions up close. Hysterical!!
Lol, I remember "discovering" Carlin and downloading bits on audiogalaxy (well, no utube back then...). This piece was amazing. "gettin' on the plane":)))))
George Carlin had some really really good comedy. My dad had me listen to his best one about STUFF and I still think it's his best one. God bless you Mr Carlin, may you rest in peace.
As a contractor for southwest airlines, I fly all over America. My record is 9 different flights in one week, and this is so so so true. Hilarious. So great with words. RIP
The thing that distinguishes Carlin from other comedians is that almost everything he talks about and how he relates to it is funny. Others may have good stuff mixed with mediocre stuff, but Carlin is consistently good throughout.
I cannot believe he was a narrator for Thomas and Friends in the U.S. He killed me with all those remarks about the airports, hilariously true he is. That's why I drive instead of fly.
How bout predetermined? "this had a predetermined result". No, it had a determined result. If it was predetermined, it didn't happen yet. Or pre-algebra. THAT'S ALGEBRA! Loved George Carlin !! Spot on stuff .
"Seatbelts. High-tech shit." - George Carlin
You think that's awesome, don't you?
Kristina S. It's pretty damn funny
Monfe
Why?
Kristina S. Because I said so. And I'm always right
Monfe
Or you're stupid.
Me and my family flew to Florida a few weeks ago. My wife got pissed when I started quoting this bit when the stewardess made their announcements
rekrings your wife sounds like a real pleasure to be around.
"IIII did not neeeeed to be told thaaaattt." 😂😂😂
This man's command and comprehension of the english was godlike😂 I see a George Carlin video...I Click!
+Linda Coolbaugh You were so lucky :-(
+cybercat29 Yes I was...He was brilliant. To this day, I hear his rants & always have a smile on my face
Linda Coolbaugh And it keeps you sane :-) That is why I watch George Carlin on UA-cam :-)
LOL I'm watching him now. "Put your seat back forward, Well I don't bend that way if I did I'd be in Porno movies" One time I was in the 2nd row & his facial expressions up close. Hysterical!!
Linda Coolbaugh Aww, man :-( You were so lucky :-)
...there will never be another George Carlin. May He rest in peace.
This is one of George's finest videos!!
Funny from beginning to end!!
I wish he was still alive just so I could give him my money for this gold. (and be cause he was an awesome person)
u 2 can give me the money . and i'll make sure he knows about your intention
He was funny.
But a misanthropist cynic isn't exactly my idea of an AWESOME person...
Keven Heinz If you like the word “misanthropist,” you’ll really like the word “misanthropic.”
8:59
Dloweification Why don't you buy his DVDs and let all the other shitty comedians know that Carlin's humour is where it's at ???
"The safety lecture continues"!
This is my favorite Carlin bit, because it portrays the essence of his entire comedy career. The man was a linguist, plane and simple.
Pun intended??😂
@@stacyann825 yes lol
The single greatest comedian of all time
George Carlin is so good that a channel with 700+ subs gets a video with 1 million + views.
This is the greatest 10 minutes worth of comedy I've ever watched.
But it’s 11:10
My favorite George Carlin one. It's so funny 😂 especially the safety lecture 😂
Lol, I remember "discovering" Carlin and downloading bits on audiogalaxy (well, no utube back then...). This piece was amazing. "gettin' on the plane":)))))
thefridgeman
his face impressions are funny as hell
2:04 “Well of course it was prerecorded when else are ya gonna record it? Afterwards?!!!” LMAO! Funniest shit ever. RIP George Carlin.
He was the best comedians ever there will be never anyone quite like him. He is very much missed.
We miss you George!
This never gets old! xD
I love George
George Carlin had some really really good comedy. My dad had me listen to his best one about STUFF and I still think it's his best one. God bless you Mr Carlin, may you rest in peace.
As a contractor for southwest airlines, I fly all over America. My record is 9 different flights in one week, and this is so so so true. Hilarious. So great with words. RIP
Eddie Izzard did some funny jokes on flying too. It takes genius to make comedy of mundane things. Fucking awesome! 😂
A true legend. There will never be anyone else like him. He's the best ever in my mind.
Every time I watch them demonstrate the workings of the seatbelt I think of George and this standup!
OMG This man was truly hilarious - I haven't laughed like that in a while. He was a great comedian. Sharp, harsh, insulting even, but so true...
Check out Bill Hicks on utube. George and Ron White knew him
The thing that distinguishes Carlin from other comedians is that almost everything he talks about and how he relates to it is funny. Others may have good stuff mixed with mediocre stuff, but Carlin is consistently good throughout.
Doubtlessly one of his best routines, ever.
I cannot believe he was a narrator for Thomas and Friends in the U.S. He killed me with all those remarks about the airports, hilariously true he is. That's why I drive instead of fly.
Global pandemic
All pandemics are global
Ohhh, George Carlin, you're killin' me.... Seriously, I'm hyperventilating and suffocating at the same time.
How bout predetermined? "this had a predetermined result". No, it had a determined result. If it was predetermined, it didn't happen yet.
Or pre-algebra. THAT'S ALGEBRA! You're already learning the basics of algebra that still counts as algebra! Pre-algebra is whatever you're doing before you get to algebra
LOL bravo, bravo, encore encore!!! XD
Christina Reynolds You have no sense of humor, don’t you?
@Christina Reynolds I think we learned different pre-algebras
@Christina Reynolds prepare is a word...not a prefix...he is pointing the stupid use of "pre" as a prefix.
@Christina Reynolds no your wrong...that would be pre- prepare...
