Selfishness

  • You can live your life as you please - change your name, dress the way you want, that's your freedom. And I wouldn't want anyone to stop you. But as soon as you start doing stuff that implicates our collective concern with fundamental fairness, we have a right to weigh in. And I think this is just pure selfishness.

It's not okay to be hateful towards anyone for any reason. Period. There's bad apples in every group and community. There's bigotry in all communities. However, they don't represent and shouldn't be the main example of a community (nor speak for the whole group.) That's not right either. Secondly, when someone who is trans tells you who they are and who they identify as, you should probably believe them and respect that. Bad experiences are just that: bad experiences. Bad people are just that: bad people. We need to rise above our differences and come together. We can not let bad examples likely from propaganda media guide us to feel unjustified prejudice. No one is discounting your experiences, just because they are finally accepting themselves and now trying to be who they are. I speak as someone who is afab, white and a victim of SA themselves (acute/criminal/brutal/aggressive) in adulthood and by a person of color too. (He hated me because I was white.) Should I then judge this horrible person's entire community based upon what this person (my abuser) did? Hell no! Why? Because it's wrong. All forms of bigotry are wrong. Originally, I thought you were against hate. You stood up for the asian community. Understandable! You even stood up for white people. Okay! Thank you for that. Why this now? I implore you to stop the hatred and think about your words and perspective here. If someone (from a certain group) has been hateful or discriminated against you, understand who that person is (one singular bad example.) Don't blame the whole group just because of a few bad examples. That is not the answer either. Think about it Charlie. Think about it.

At what point did I say these selfish individuals “represented” the entire trans community? Where did I blame the whole group? Show me - pinpoint the exact time. Also, I don’t have to believe anything anyone tells me about themselves. One could tell me that they’re a trigender tricycle, and I wouldn’t be spreading “hate” by saying that’s untrue - it sounds like hate to you because you don’t like what I’m saying, but it sounds like the truth to a whole lotta others. So you don’t have a right to shut it down under the veneer of quashing “hate”.

I acknowledge as someone who is assigned female at birth, that some trans women are thinner, prettier, and more feminine than I am. They also act more feminine than I do. @@charlottehonor7265It seems you are deliberately misrepresenting his beliefs and then only half representing arguments.
The argument against shared bathrooms is having Men who Identify as Women who will ( and have) go into female washrooms and assault/harass them.

That is rare that a criminal goes into a bathroom, misrepresents themselves and does that. When they do, they deserve what they get. However, real trans women aren't like that. "Real" trans women don't do that. That is someone who is a fraud. Frauds exist but they are not the representative of trans women. Trans women are women. Exactly. It's selfishness. And it's selfishness because there are plenty of trans people who disagree. I've met trans women who say, "I use the mens bathroom or the multi-purpose bathroom because I'm aware that my identity can be uncomfortable or triggering or traumatic for biological women, and that my identity impacts me, it's my personal thing, and shouldn't have to be something I force others to answer to without their consent." The people who charge their way into the women's bathroom in the most entitled way are always the selfish ones, or the ones pretending to be trans and get a high off of making women look small. And it's actually really scary as a woman to me, to know that there are people out there who will gladly let that happen for the purpose of appearing "just" or politically correct when that is NOT the case at all

Having all sports co ed would essentially run nearly every girl out of sports
    Why?
Because in track, for instance, the first place girl would drop back to 6th, or 7th.....not eligible for any awards at all. The saddest part? No amount of training or dedication would change that.
In team sports, nearly every girl would be a bench warmer, and those who did get to play would be at much greater risk of injury.
All womens records would eventually be broken, all female stars replaced. It would be pointless for a biological female to even try to compete. All the scholarships and opportunities would go to bio males.
Oh, but sports is supposed to be about fun and being on a team right??? Sure....so if that's the case, why is there such an insistence on the girls always taking the "L"?

This, combined with the immense amount of attention (both positive and negative) that the alphabet gang receives, means that the "T" identity/lifestyle will be most appealing to people who are highly self-centered, lacking in empathy, and seeking attention (AKA highly narcissistic).

My first objection to this kind of thing was reporters in locker rooms. It seems to have become a nearly very important issue since that decades-old concern. All I would ask persons to consider is that an absolute goal will harm absolutely. Forty years of my adult life went without bathroom politics; now, this.

Bathrooms seperated by people with penises and those without were created to stop those without from being raped by those with, and someone with a penis going into the batheroom meant for those without is thereby a violation of there sexual privacy, and is at least partially excusing the disgusting actions of the men that took advantage of the mixed sex bathroom to commit reprehensible acts.

It’s 2024, I never would’ve bet back in 2004 that at this very moment biological facts and anatomy would be up for debate for years now; people suggesting the best possible way to curing racial discrimination of any and all kinds would be segregation and racial discrimination; never would’ve bet on college students supporting a terrorist organization that oppresses Palestine more then any other organization has before; never would’ve bet on the best way to decolonize a nation being to colonize it with unregulated mass migration; homeless vets scarred and disabled for life abandoned by the ones they fought for and the ideas that made all of this currently happening possible without the reeducation camps or out right slaughter of any and all who disagree with the currently popular societal faction/agenda. This is 2024 forget the headsets for VR no need for those when irrefutable truth is irrelevant in mass, god society as a whole needs an adult, (multiple actually the whole world seems hell bent on operating like “lord of the flies” ) smh

"living your truth" is, ironically, a lie- a statement that is a rebranding of the truth of what is truly happening here. It can be more accurately described as "living your fetish". You don't see this sort of thing being staunchly advocated for outside of extremely hedonistic people- people, where it could be argued, see self-gratification as the ultimate tenet- one that is far more important than things like truth and objectivity.
If you read in depth at the sort of lifestyle that isn't publicly shared by Thomas, and the countless suppressed stories by trans widows, nearly all have overlapping themes of humiliation fetishes of varying degrees, with these men's warped perceptions of women as the source of humiliation. Is it so big of a leap to say that this invasion of female privacy is just an extension of the acts of humiliation that get them off?

What I find ironic about this whole discussion - and I'm not jabbing at you, here, only commenting on the objections I have seen to biological men entering biological women's spaces and vice-versa - is that people constantly harp on the Muslim community for their sex-segregation and dress code for men and women. Yet, now that women's spaces are being eroded in the Western sphere, objectors are making very similar arguments about the need to defend women's safety and dignity regardless of gender propagandists arguing, "But not everyone has a bad intention, not everyone wants to hurt others!" Of course not. But as you argued in the video, in the real world, when you increase the amount of spaces and times during which the two sexes may meet - esp. in vulnerable locations like locker rooms - you cannot ensure that people will encounter only the "well-intentioned" members of the opposite sex. It's Pandora's box - you will not undo the harm you cause once you've opened the door.

    • @JasonReborn-hc6lx

True, but islam is a bad example because when muslims come to other nations the instances of sexual assault ALWAYS go up. Apparently many muslims can't control themselves so the need to segregate things by gender is FAR more necessary with them. That is why they often go too far to the other extreme due to lack of self control. Ever since the west became more atheistic it has went insane. It is definitely much worse than it used to be. Islamic nations take things so far to the opposite extreme that even muslims prefer not living in them.

    • @bri-chimchimcher-ee6955
      @bri-chimchimcher-ee6955 3 місяці тому +1

Muslims often take sex segregation to the extreme though. Like really, men can only sit with men and women only with women? In a public space?? A locker room is one thing, as being naked comes with a certain amount of vulnerability. But the emphasis of qan innocent handshake being "inappropriate" if it is between a man and women (not married or family) is just odd to most people in the world

This is like an old song that continues to play that eventually, it has lost general public interest. But first things first, if one has an issue about trans women identifying as women in places that legalized it, perhaps try to have that conversation directly with those who created the bill that now officially makes trans women, women. It's not a kind of one-sided argument people should have with those who see themselves as women, or men, despite being born otherwise, or those who are suspected of seeing themselves as women. Although I am not a trans woman, but I can only imagine how it must feel like for those who don't feel right about their assigned gender at birth, and if one doesn't have the ability to understand that by constantly focusing on the bad types of trans, or those who have committed crimes, making the rest of the demographic more prone to discrimination, then that's a form of selfishness that people likely miss about themselves.
